Whyem15: Lai Mohammed is a member of the federal executive council, ordinarily he should be more aware of any such deal more than the national assembly unless this was supposed to be a secret deal or maybe Lai Mohammed is doing his thing. Unless the national assembly was notified of the deal by the executive branch of government or they had a more detailed version of the supplementary budget, I do not see how they should know more than Lai Mohammed.
There has been numerous instances that Lai Mohammed would give a speech, executive would go another direction. It's like he's just in that position to fulfil all righteousness.
It's like lai Mohammed doesn't get carried along or gets updates, they just leave him to be making speech, based on ideas not on fact, same thing couple of people here and that Twitter mad man.
Okay, Firstly Nigerian air force doesn't use single engine helicopters, especially for attack helicopters, and only modern cobras are 2 engines, the viper and venom, secondly only modern cobras use apkws, and we want to order 2000 apkws, the only order option, that is single engine and can fire apkws, and is old is used by the Jordanian air force, and it has been upgraded to the standard of modern cobras, only that it's on an old airframe.....and the Jordanians are in the process of retiring their cobras and even sold some, only that the ones sold were not the upgraded ones.
Could it be, that it's the upgraded Jordanian cobras, we want to buy? Because i don't see Nigeria buying tokunbo cobras without glass cockpit and modern sighting systems.
Also the price range is within the limit of what other countries are bidding or have paid for similar Quantities.
Covert1: Nigerian Navy Pilots Succesfully Conduct Blue Water/Deep Sea Search & Rescue Operation of A Stricken Vessel At Sea. This Is Not A Drill.
Wow! This just leaves you breathless. This is our own NN not the US Navy or Hollywood. The NN has had a run of breathtaking good news recently from industrial scale Naval Ship building to world class Search & Rescue Ops.
This Navy is making us proud at every turn from rescue of pirate victims at sea by NNSBS commandos to anti-BHT/ISWAP kill or capture operations by NNSBS Special Warfare Desert Operators to advanced Falcon Eye capabilities and now this. These things show what is possible with a powerful and peaceful Nigeria.
This is most likely a training exercise....that's a ship, ships carry boat, ship and boat can see the victim, why wait for helicopter from long rain to do what boat and ship can do. Come to think of it, some of this Augusta helicopters are more than 20 years. I think we would be getting the bigger aw139 as time goes on.
sizzorchan: Been wondering that myself. so if the case they have is that a cop in naija was given money by a Nigerian suspect, then they have to proof the cop knew the money was from fraud and actively partake in scamming people. right now it seems like bribery btw 2 Nigerians, in which case it should be prosecuted in Nigeira. if his participation is deeper and they can proof he got money stolen from American citizens, then that's a different story. Remember also, its the court that will decide if this extradition should happen, I'm guessing on this though, but i think I'm right. so wait and see, and to those who already convict, hold your horse and let's see where this leads. I'm in no means saying he's innocent. I actually initially thought the accused cop was the IGP . we no sabi these names
The case against Kari, isn't just mere bribe, he acted as an enforcer for hushpupi, my removing a competition so that the deal would go on smoothly, he is as culpable as if, he actually played a more direct role. This is why police officers should be held to a higher standard, when you keep committing a crime to enforce laws, you start creating your own laws and enforcing your own laws instead of the constitution, and it's rampant in all our paramilitary.....only the military , is trying it's best to control this aspect of things in their organizations.
GabrielYulaw: I don't know why, but this case you just related is kinda funny . So, they wrote letters and got no replies because they were talking rubbish? Lol. And yeah, having money in Nigeria is dangerous. It becomes even more dangerous if you choose to flaunt your wealth by buying big car, like those Instagram skit makers are wont to do. The police, EFCC, robbers and kidnappers go take big interest in you because of your expensive ride. It doesn't matter if your wealth was legitimately gotten or not, because to the cops and EFCC you cannot be rich by living in a shithole like Nigeria unless you are a politician or related to one.
True, Google efcc withdraws case apologies, it was in the news I think a little more than a week.
GabrielYulaw: I don't care who Hush Puppy sent money. They should all be brought to justice. Please let's stop giving any kind of ethnic coloration to this case or any other case. Bad is bad regardless of tribe.
So, Hush who is a known fraudster told a top cop to arrest his friend. Why didn't the said cop arrest both the friend and Hush Puppy? I thought the cop is all about fighting crime and whatnot? Instead of arresting a known fraudster Kyari went on vacation with him to Dubai and received payment in the millions.
I am not surprised at all by cases like this. No be the same Nigeria that SARS officials dey take money from Yahoo boys, buy Benz with the money and boast about it? No be the same Nigeria that SARS officials dey kidnap people at random and make their families sell their assets to bail them, despite no crime at all being committed? The Nigerian police is rotten from the top to the bottom and that's why it is ranked the worst on the planet. I am only sad it is not mass murder and stealing that the likes of Kyari is being tried for.
This man has committed much greater sins and crimes, than he is facing now, if this man was truly prosecuted for the biggest crimes without interference, he might be in jail for more than 20 years. Efcc and Nigerian police are fast becoming useless in the international scenes, EFCC arrested a man that claims to be a businessman because 8 million dollars was paid into his account and another sum in the millions of dollars from another country, EFCC without investigation arrested the man....paraded the man , after then they started investigating.....they didn't find anything incriminating with the man, they wrote letters to the embassy and EFCC opposite number in 2 countries, those one's didn't even bother to acknowledge talkless of replying EFCC, they had to apologise and withdraw the case. The police and EFCC are acting on a principle of bad belle, like how can someone be successful and have money, therefore it's enough to burst you, without establishing a solid foundation. Most worrying is the political class are not doing anything, it becoming like EFCC is even more powerful than the legislative and executive.
DubaiLandLord1: Hushpuppi Narrates How He Bribed Nigerian Top Cop Abba Kyari In $1.1m Deal
Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, the infamous Nigerian fraudster who recently pleaded guilty in the United States, has narrated how he bribed Nigeria’s celebrated police chief Abba Kyari, court documents seen by Peoples Gazette said.
Federal authorities in the U.S. have been investigating Mr Abbas and his co-conspirators after their syndicate was busted in Dubai, New York and other top cities last June. Officials said in court filings that Mr Abbas disclosed during interrogation that he paid bribes to Mr Kyari, a deputy police commissioner, to have one of his rivals arrested and jailed in Nigeria following a dispute over a $1.1 million dupe of a Qatari businessperson.
Mr Kyari did not immediately return calls and messages seeking his response to Mr Abbas’ claims when reached by The Gazette on Thursday morning.
Mr Abbas asked Mr Kyari to arrest and jail a fellow fraudster Kelly Chibuzor Vincent after both were locked in a dispute presumably over how to share the $1.1 million loot received from the Qatari businessperson. Mr Vincent subsequently contacted the victim and informed them that they were being scammed by a syndicate involving him and Mr Abbas.
This elicited anger from Mr Abbas, who contacted Mr Kyari to arrest and jail his rival over the dispute. Mr Abbas said Mr Kyari sent pictures of Mr Vincent in jail and subsequently sent his bank account number to Mr Abbas to which a wire transfer should be made having done a good job as sent by Mr Abbas.
“Court documents outline a dispute among members of the conspiracy, which allegedly prompted Vincent to contact the victim and claim that Abbas and Juma were engaged in fraud. After this contact, Abbas allegedly arranged to have Vincent jailed in Nigeria by Abba Alhaji Kyari, 46, of Nigeria.
“According to the affidavit, Kyari is a highly decorated deputy commissioner of the Nigeria Police Force who is alleged to have arranged for Vincent to be arrested and jailed at Abbas’ behest, and then sent Abbas photographs of Vincent after his arrest. Kyari also allegedly sent Abbas bank account details for an account into which Abbas could deposit payment for Vincent’s arrest and imprisonment,” U.S. Justice department said in a statement.
After the $1.1 million fraud was successful, Mr Abbas spent $230,000 on a watch and also bribed officials at St. Kitts and Nevis for his citizenship of that island country.
In this endsars hearing ongoing , this man's name has been brought up for numerous reasons, which are mostly not good, murder, extortion, taking of people's vehicles and so on. He was one time O.C SARS Lagos state, truth fully I'm still surprised that the man after all the allegations is still not under any probes.
Covert1: Scour the internet some of these things are open source intelligence. Other things I can't divulge. I'm busy except when I have time which I can't say. Besides before you jump to the Rafale 4, I was talking of the basic Rafale model not having certain elements already incorporated into the JF-17 which the more advanced Rafale variants not yet in service with French Air Force are set to have.
And you have to believe it. The JF-17 Thunder in recent exercises outmaneuvered the Rafale. Now there are factors like pilot proficiency that can also contribute to that besides jet performance which clearly the JF-17 excelled.
It was in Turkey, jf 17 vs Qatari Rafael....it was in wvr merge....the thing is that most of these scenarios aren't always combat realistic...but at least you learn something from other air forces. There is speculation that Pakistani pilots have been flying qatari rafale jets, to know the aircraft better and even flown them in france( I can't remember the details), even before Indian jets were delivered and the Indians are protesting. In a realistic scenario, the Rafael would destroy the jf17
EricBraven: It is not about political correctness,it is just that I am looking for an explanation as to why we always think that the police has never done anything right
Oga the only political correct thing is that, if Nigerian police don't get their acts right, they will be a basis for a civil war, that will see the southern region come together to execute, because you can only oppress people for a while, before they retaliate. I assure you, if the Nigerian police were acting right, there wouldn't be much local support for ESN/UGM attacking police.
EricBraven: Not ruling out the facts that it can happen, we all look down on this police officers like they are some kind of dumb individuals who just pick innocent people on every operation they embark on. C'mon man Apart from the guy that went for burial, did the church goers make a statement or provide evidence to this effect ?
Yes they pick innocent people, kidnap them and rob them, though there has been a decrease since endsars, especially in Lagos state.
tutudesz: Don't be surprise if his son is among them
Considering it's Nigerian police....I wouldn't be surprised if some where innocent, like the case of the other man that came for burial or the one that was shot, but was going or coming from church
Police that shot someone and is pinning it on someone else from the protests in Lagos.
70% of the crisis we have in Nigeria is directly or indirectly linked to the Nigerian police.
RiceProducers: The NAF is smart. They also plan to buy KJ-100 AEW. That's an AWACS plane with AESA Radar up to 450km. So you can linfk up nicely with many JF17 Block 2s and enjoy JF17 Block 3 capabilities.
RiceProducers: I am interested in F7NI upgrade. What new capabilities are we expecting after the upgrades. Is it just reduced pilot work load we will get?
I have been trying to find this out too, none of the usual copy copy, and I Intel people have any thing regarding the upgrade
SamuelAnyawu: Did I just read “Aircraft shot with an explosive”? I’ll need more clarification on this. Previously I felt Bandits got no AA and very limited RPG
So you don't know that most antiaircraft ammunition, are incidinery and explosive rounds to create max effect is they hit or explode causing maximum damage?
kabe1: We cannot talk about the Block 3 because the specs of the aircraft are not publicly available.
So you cannot say what is good and what is not.
On LIFT, we currently have aircrafts that are in dire need of replacements, Nigeria has sucked the life out of the Alpha jet and L-39 and we need them replaced.
The M346FA is a purely light attack jet, not a LIFT aircraft, I don't see why we should get the FA if we need a light attack jet we should just stick with the JF-17.
Unless you provide verifiable evidence your comments on the SU-75 is simply hogwash.
We keep forgetting we have mb 339 somewhere that's almost brand new
ugo4u: Me I dey confused o, see like the Pilot hug COAS and CDS like say them be him mate. If you're knowledgeable on how the military hierarchy works you'll understand where I'm driving at, on a norms he can't even hold a squadron leader that way . Is he related to any of them ni? or are they basking in the euphoria of the success of the mission
You would be more confused if you frequent the mess often.
ALPHA JET AIRCRAFT CRASHES IN ZAMFARA STATE, PILOT RESCUED
On 18 July 2021, at about 12.45 pm, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet aircraft, returning from a successful air interdiction mission between the boundaries of Zamfara and Kaduna State, came under intense enemy fire which led to its crash in Zamfara State. Luckily, the gallant pilot of the aircraft, Flight Lieutenant Abayomi Dairo, successfully ejected from the aircraft. Using his survival instincts, the pilot, who came under intense ground fire from the bandits, was able to evade them and sought refuge in nearby settlements awaiting sunset. Using the cover of darkness and his phone set for navigation, Flight Lieutenant Dairo was able to elude several bandits’ strongholds and maneuvered his way to a Nigerian Army Unit, where he was finally rescued.
It is instructive to note that upon receipt of the news of the crash, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, had directed that all efforts must be emplaced to rescue the pilot. Accordingly, NAF Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and helicopter gunships provided close air support to NAF Special Forces and Nigerian Army troops who were able to locate the crash site and the pilot’s parachute, while also combing nearby locations for any sign of the pilot. It is gladdening to note that while in hiding, Flight Lieutenant Dairo confirmed that the presence of NAF aircraft within the vicinity of the crash site helped in scaring the bandits who were after him, thus enabling him to find refuge and escape to a safe location.
It is important to also recall that only recently, the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, had directed the Armed Forces of Nigeria to do all it takes to flush out criminal elements in Katsina, Zamfara and Kaduna States. It is in fulfilment of this directive that the NAF, in conjunction with surface forces, has in the last 2 weeks mounted intensive day and night air interdiction operations against bandits and their hideouts, especially in these 3 states. Through these intensive air operations, hundreds of bandits have been neutralized and several of their hideouts destroyed.
Despite the setback of yesterday’s crash, the NAF remains committed towards fulfilling Mr President’s mandate as well as other constitutional roles assigned to it. The willingness, readiness and tested ability of the NAF remains unshaken and unwavering as it continues to carry out its assigned roles.
Kindly bring the information to the awareness of the general public. Thank you.

Pics of the CDS, CAS and other Flag officers of the Air Force welcoming the hero back to base.
NAF has confirmed the crash of an Alpha Jet due to enemy action.
Praises to God Lt Dairo took his SERE training serious and was able to escape.
It is APPALLING that these "bandits" now have the ability to bring down aircraft.
Look at the steel the recoiless-Gun is bolted to and the iron steel at the edge of the technical. It's the same, it's not shinny after it has been hit. And you can can also see that it's the same AAG and they are placed beside each other.
Check out the images below..
It's not the same, look at the steel frame the gun is mounted on ......one is red, the other is white. Any way, apart from psychological value, this gun has no real strategic and tactical value in a modern warfare, it's practically a suicide mission. But the tells a bigger intelligence picture, boko haram is looking for modern anti tank weapons like anti tank missiles, which are descendants of recoiless weapons like this.
kabe1: It is targeted at countries like Argentina, UAE (Heavy spender), India (Heavy spender)
I think we would be able to afford it. It's an aircraft for the future, so we should have a need for it.
To fight who with it or deter who? We can't fight any country that really has enemies that require stealth aircraft....it better we stick to out jf17 hopefully block 3, and maintain our local champion and build infrastructure and economy with human capacity. A country isn't only about its military. Mind you the Security issues Nigeria has now, isn't about strong or weak military, it's about the other variables that affect human wellbeing that are lacking. Provide and environment that makes the citizens happy , and security would slowly creep in.
I don't know why some people are so foolish on this thread, you lifted someone's emotional thoughts without without asking him first, he put it on his story where it would disappear , you came to put it on a permanent website, he penned down his disapproval about putting it here, common sense didn't tell you to remove it. If tomorrow the army opens a BOI regarding the matter tomorrow and his life is ruined you will be saying eyah, army why.....same goes to bidexxi, and all the idiots that goes to lift content, without common sense.
kabe1: That Niger republic guy, did he run away with our money or Niger republic money? I thought it was Niger republic?
We did those black market purchases during the surge operation to free GWOZA and the likes, but if you remember correctly the MRAPs and Rifles were purchased brand new.
T-72, BMP-1 were second hand. The IFVs were also new.
joscofelix2: oga why did think of liaring(lying) everytime, why do you think of puting liar on another person adminstration.the niger guy happen during GEJ the private jet stuff nobody know whether it black market or not.because last time i check SA do not have black market stuff
Did I mention any government? I'm just saying Nigeria does black market weapons buying, even USA does..... oga, look if you can't read to understand, don't stress me, with your fake intels
joscofelix2: oga take time oo, which black market? dey one for your community ni. most of the small arm are either produce in dicon or bought from producer,or you think say na police rifle.even some police rifles are new. dey t 72 mbt i agree was not but most are lacking spare part.or you want tell us say, our tavor na black market work. most of the ak nigeria army are using are obj 006
Why do you think the guy from Niger republic, ran away with do much money, why do you think south African's blocked the private jet, carrying money for weapons.....we did a lot of black market weapons buying, almost every country does it.....
Kalapizim: E be like say nah DSS steal the show this time
See as dem be like DEVGRU Operators mehnn
See ehn, it's lack of experience that's making dss look so Gucciflage, when they start having operational deployment, they would know light is good.... the SBS deployment during the exercise shows their wealth of experience....they could have easily brought the same equipment or DSS came to do modelling? But one thing I know, the quality of equipment of dss is top notch right from time
