for those of you pointing fingers at PDP, saying they achieved nothing after 12yrs. you should all ask yourself what the cause are:

1) Nepotism: we have not had a qualified condidate since 1977

2) Tribalism: the northerners doesn't have the interest of Nigeria at heart, all they want is power.

3) Birth right: the northerners now sees the presidential seat as their birth right and could go extreme just to have it back. (But this time, Buhari is a failure)

4) Old age: Old Age has done alot of harm to Nigeria or else, OBJ would have invented measures for a constant electricity supply, instead he admitted in one of the press interview granted to him at the local airport (as at the time he handed over to A NORTHERNER, yar-dua) that Nigeria should hand over electricity problem to God. as if that was not enough, the Northerner, Yar-dua confirmed it and we are still facing it till date.

I could go on and one but in all, the northerners can not invent any positive changes in Nigeria, in all ramification. so Buhari should go and seat down cos presidential seat is not their birth right. we need change and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is in to invent positive changes in Nigeria

Fortunately, i'm from the north but the truth must be told, we do not have anything positive to offer Nigeria

How could you be so hypocritical that you could mention that GEJ gave detegates during the primaries 7,000 Dollars, without enunciating the face that Buhari disbursed 5,000 Dollar to each delegate on the same purpose the same day. If Buhari could scratch out 5,000 Dollar for each delegate, if finds himself in GEJ's position, he will multiple it by 5. accounting by the amount of desperation shown by Buhari during the primaries, attempt for rigging will be inevitable and i am fully sure that he will make no headway.

The Presidential Campaign Council [PCC] of the Peoples   Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the anti-corruption  posturing of the presidential candidates of the Congress for  Progressive Change (CPC), General Muhammadu Buhari and the  Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Malam Nuhu Ribadu which it  described as hypocritical, and self- serving.

The Campaign Council advised the two candidates to desist from  selling wrong images about themselves, stating that evidence  detailing their misdemeanour and unwholesome conduct abound  to prove that they were not the innocent politicians that they have  been claiming to be.

It said it would be more acceptable if Buhari and Ribadu limit their  campaign promises to the manifestoes of their respective political  parties and the personal agenda that they have for the country  rather than portraying themselves as apostles of anti-corruption  which it said they are far from.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Director of Research and  Strategy of the PCC, Mike Omeri said that the antecedents of the  two, who he described as self-acclaimed anti-corruption ‘stars’ had  proved that they had had their hands soiled with acts of  corruption during their different years in government.

It threatened to fully expose the two presidential candidates and  match them action for action in their avowed commitment to dent  the image of President Goodluck Jonathan with lies that they have  been peddling against him.

Omeri, in the statement recalled that in 1984 General Buhari  exhibited double standard in public administration by allowing 52  suit cases suspected to be filled with hard currency through his  ADC into Nigeria without passing through the customs check  point for the mandatory custom clearance.

He said the development was a clear case of money laundering.  “And we wonder what moral right such a candidate had to talk  about anti- corruption”.

The statement stated further that the case of Nuhu Ribadu the  erstwhile chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes  Commission (EFCC) was more shocking.

The Campaign Committee recalled that In 2007 while answering  questions from the Senate on the alleged acts of corruption by  some governors, Ribadu pointedly said that the corruption of the  former governor of Lagos state, Senator Bola Tinubu was “of  international dimension”.

It added, “Is it not curious that the same person with such a tag is  now the political godfather of Ribadu and sole financier of his  political campaigns?

“To also show Ribadu’s lack of faith in the anti-corruption fight, he  recently said and we quote:“I won’t bother myself with the  integrity of politicians that will fund my campaign. I will take  corrupt politicians money for my campaign as far as the money is  not put in my pocket.”

“What kind of role model is Ribadu and how can Nigerians believe  him if he says that he will jail corrupt politicians if he emerges as  the country’s president?

“Ribadu by such posturing has given Tinubu a clean bill of health  which is not only hypocritical, but evidence that given the same  opportunity, he would not have done better than the governors  whom he had indicted. Buhari is simply a failure not to talk of clueless Rubadu.  GEJ remains a better qualified candidate in this 2011 presidential election, quote me.

I speak for my self, if you have tested life outside Nigeria, you wouldn't like to pass a night in Nigeria. Take for instance, you hardly see power failure in most of these countries. you enjoy treated water supply at will and pay less. To be frank, life is so stressful in Nigeria to compare with most countries i have visited

You are right but i would like you to look at it the other way round. he claimed to must have reported the case before closure. if he had taken up the case earlier than now, the INEC will make provision for him and this family members to partake in the voter registration exercise and the matter would have ended there. whereby the voters registration exercise has been concluded, he could remand for compensation from the police, INEC and even sentence those thugs if properly identified

i heard about masaba's family 6 years ago. I think the thugs obstruction should be related to political stractagy to cripple masaba's family from making it big with one of the political lord's who had his plans with the masaba's family. well, they will be rewarded in the court provided they have a good lawyer.
