Hello to my beautiful and handsome Nairalanders, I have this Issue that I am really trying hard to Understand or comprehend, why they are against my move to marry this chic, I meet this chic when i was in Ph, we instantly became connected, we are almost together every time, we eat together, play together, go places together and even sleep together on the same bed without nothing happening, there is this chemistry between us that makes ur close like siblings, this girl understands me when I tell her I don't have money to give u despite the monies she see with me always, I didn't have any intimacy with her because I wasn't look her side, she came visiting when I went to visit my sisters and they saw her asked me what she does I told them she did Auxiliary Nursing stuff which she didn't collected her certificate, and right now she a Sales girl that manages a big clothing shop herself, and besides she had this entrepreneurship spirit, they said due to economic situation of Nigeria that she is not a good choice for me, I am in to pharmaceuticals and I told them she can collabo with me or i open a business for her they still insist. BillzCarter:
It's necessary please...
[size=13pt]Why doesn't he just call his party members to order who are bringing disrepute to his party in the state?
More notably, why can't he call for an emergency meeting over the horrendous Fulani herdsmen killings where people living peacefully are suddenly raided, killed and chased away by strangers with whom they have had no previous quarrel?
Individuals involved in electoral malpractices and crimes have been clearly identified by many witnesses during these elections. Why isn't there a move to arrest and prosecute them?
Where are the law enforcement agencies on this matter. EFCC, DSS, etc.
The evidence is very much and even on video recordings.
This is the reason even those hopeful of the promise of change
have long wisely and silently given up.

We are now watching to see how the Buhari "anti-corruption" Government with its anti-corruption Agencies including the DSS which now leaves issues of State Security to delve into inanities, will react: WILL THEY DO THE NEEDFUL? Or is there one Rule for PDP & another for APC? Buhari's anti-corruption credential is on the line. Remember, this is INCONTROVERTIBLE VIDEO EVIDENCE of self CONFESSION by an APC Candidate of having given bribe to compromise the election.
The INEC official caught trying to cheat for the APC was rescued away from police custody after the intervention of Amaechi, Seminitari (New NDDC boss) the APC chairman, and Dakuku Peterside.
If we are not sure who she was trying to cheat for, that these people are the ones that came to take her away from the police shakes away every unclarity. Videos exist of this online and AIT has video clips too. In fact press houses where there

My question is; How much allocation does rivers gives the Federal government since your warped thought is wrapped around the fact that wike is the president of the country of Rivers.
[size=13pt]Please, much as I would like to go into that, that is not the right question, or even the raised question. The question is if the centre is interested in the money generated by the oil rich states which the centre is not entitled to and we find the answer here:

Unfortunately, you claimed the centre is not interested, so we have only presented you with the words of the centre.
Much as I believe that it is folly for north, south, east or west to clamour over oil (see my post here: https://www.nairaland.com/2890584/why-cant-hand-over-tompolo#42328083) concerning this post, you, in error, claimed that the centre is not interested in the oil revenue reserved for the oil producing states and so by all means, you must be presented with the words of the centre

NB: The op is already fundamentally wrong by saying that all the oil belongs to the centre. Only 87% is legally the centre's by the current state of the constitution and laws of the land. 13% belongs to the producing area. 87% is shared to everyone and 13% is assigned to the producers of that money.

Considering that 90% of what everybody shares is oil-generated, the figure 13% makes of that 90% is probably what has caused Mr. Oyegun to openly express such comments. I wonder why the OP would choose this time to put up this stuff on this thread, shortly after Mr. Oyegun popularly made this statement. Perhaps he has not been keeping tabs enough with what's been happening. I consider this a grand error on his part. He opened up himself to slammed easily.

It takes a dollar depreciation of 1,000% for $3bn then to be worth $30bn now

[size=13pt]Why do most people comment with ignorance when addressing the issues of elections in the SS region of the country? I have seen comments like APC and Buhari want Rivers and Bayelsa desperately because of Oil . grin Can someone be this dumb? The last time i checked, Rivers and other oil producing states and their resources is controlled by the federal government headed by the Same Buhari and APC. The federal government sells all crude or whatever resources in any part of the country, recieves the payment into the federal purse before disbursing allocations to states monthly. Rivers and other states are not independent countries. They are under the federation of Nigeria which Buhari and APC controls. So how can Buhari be interested in Rivers oil when Rivers states itself depends on Buhari's federal allocation and 13% derivation for it's survival asides its IGR? grin The way some Niger deltans and South easteners comment on resources makes one wonder if Lagos the richest state in Nigeria is governed by the PDP.

Teenagers have indeed infiltrated this forum with their ignorant and myopic comments which is why every attempts to enlighten them ends up in abuses and insults. The reason why every ruling party struggle to get more states is to dominate and have favorable numbers in election periods. Politics is a game of Numbers. The higher the states in the ruling party's control, the easier their chances at electoral victories or re-election. This is why PDP bragged to rule Nigeria for the next 60 yrs and even labelled themselves the biggest party in Africa since they controlled most states in Nigeria at that time and even held onto power for 16 yrs. Buhari or Apc doesn't need any state for it's resources since they are in charge of all resources at federal level, They simply need to dominate the political climate in Nigeria which is a means of solidifying the ruling party's grip on power.

[size=13pt]
iamblisz:
THE COCK CROWED AND A MAN WEPT BITTERLY
Friends, I speak in parables.
A man was living in denial. He shot himself on the foot, he was bleeding to death, and he was reducing in weight, size and shape. But he would not admit he made a mistake. He was too proud to accept his error, too straight to be bent, too blinded by hero-worship, too full of sentiments to relax and realise he took a very wrong step backwards.

The cock crowed and a man’s senses were restored to its default settings.
I did not make the wrong choices, they did, and it was binding on all of us. I warned, I cried, I pleaded but they felt it was not enough. They shut their ears to the voice of reasoning. Our morality cannot be directly influenced by our ancestors because they did not live in such crowded circumstances as we. In fact I had said my ancestor should not be brought back to come lead me. But nobody listened. And now darkness looms. Thick darkness and uncertainty paints the times ahead.

The cock crowed, we cried but they stopped us. They called us wailing wailers. They forbad us from crying.
At first it was silence. Absolute silence. The entire governing system of Nigeria was completely quiet. We strained our necks, we stretched, just to peep into Aso Rock and read meanings into Baba’s body language. Nothing was going on. Nigerians waited and waited just to at least get an idea of where they were leading us to. Nothing. Just nothing. It took an awful long time and when we started raising eyebrows, they switched to shifting of blames. Goodluck Jonathan became responsible for all of Nigeria’s problems since the world was created. In El-rufai’s words, ‘…Nigeria has been irredeemably damaged’.

At this point I thought they would resign from their respective offices and let all of us give up on the Nigerian Project, after all, Nigeria has been IRREDEEMABLY damaged they said..
Nigerians became tired of the blame game and they moved to excuse giving. The oil price is going down, this one has happened and the other one has refused to happen. At this point we were growing impatient. We would not accept the excuses either and they started telling blatant lies. They lied to our faces and spat on our fore heads. They told the kind of lies that meant they took us completely for granted. We meant nothing to them. Can I ever forget when lying minister came out of the blue and said ‘Nigeria has started reaping the fruits of Buhari’s foreign trips?’. Till date I am still wondering what he meant.

The lies were not working too and in a desperate move, they attempted severing the connection between government and the people. They wanted to pass a social media bill that meant we would no longer be able to talk freely. Of course this approach too did not work and finally they did what I had been expecting all this while. What a typical lazy, unserious and clueless but proud person would do when found guilty- and that is to suddenly grow cold and nonchalant. They were in power and what would anybody do about that?
And now if I place demand on the government to perform I am seen as an enemy. In fact I just read now, a statement credited to Chris Ngige, ‘those complaining that things are hard in the country are members of PDP.’

Is it a crime to ask questions about my future? Are you not aware that very soon these very old folks will all die and bow out of the scene? Do you want them to mortgage my future? Do you want them to leave a messed up Nigeria behind? Can’t I ask these questions? I do not understand what is going on, nobody is coming out to say anything, and should I keep quiet? Are you an enemy of the Nigeria of my dreams?
This administration has taken wrong decision after wrong decision and it is clear they only know how to play party politics but have no idea whatsoever about governance. One after the other, several ministries are becoming dormant or just fizzling out of relevance. Whatever happened to our ministry of finance? In fact who is the minister of finance? What about ministry foreign affairs? And how about that of youth? The list is a long one.

I cannot change Nigeria alone. Neither can you. Our individual activities are too little to cause any significant effect. It is as we come together, pull down the walls that separate us, and agree to work together with an orientation that is tilted towards progress that we will begin to journey forward. But it cannot happen if you keep seeing me as an enemy. Neither will it happen if you continue to dwell in pride and refuse to accept that something went wrong somewhere along the way. If it is in the choice of leaders, you erred badly in the last elections. You must accept that simple fact. We erred very badly. I have realised that. If you haven’t, I am ready to wait for you. From now till 2019 this current government will not do much, nothing serious will happen because we erred in our choice of leaders. Don’t start an argument now. I said from now till 2019, and I am ready to wait that long for you to realise your faults. But I have a question. If the cock crows in 2019, will you weep bitterly?

[size=13pt]Also, by going there (to the police station) himself, Amaechi has been implicated. He has no business going to fetch someone caught with fake electoral materials.

The natural thing is to allow the course of the law to take effect. The more natural thing will be to encourage the law to take effect even faster to expose the sharp practices of a rival party.

How can shielding her, muscling in and taking her away from the law enforcement agencies be explained by the people who have done this now?

That the APC chairman would express his sympathies by giving here a cap to shield her from the cameras only implicates the APC here.
You see, the party not associated with the crime naturally will want as much exposure as possible.
This move (offering his cap to her) actually does implicate him and his party

So I was surfing through old threads in the Politics section and came across one of the most "threatening" threads of January, 2016, in which some "Niger Deltans" claimed they were marginalized and in turn, issued a 31-day ultimatum to the FG to release Kanu, else Nigeria would go up in flames. It's March already and nothing is happening. And with the many threatening comments that followed the thread, one would think "this is the end".

The thread and link below.

www.nairaland.com/2886334/biafra-ex-militants-give-fg-31-day

Nigeria is still standing. What happened in the process?
Don't mind them. Those are the ND clowns. Encouraged and fuelled by the duo of Peter Odilli and Amaechi during the Odili era.
The kind of people any people shd be ashamed of.
Please I am Niger deltan too and I think the difference between me and you on this matter is how seriously you might have taken them.
Every Rivers and Bayelsa person did not waste their time on that weightless statement. Niger deltans know those comments are not even worth their attention in the first place, much less debating

NB: Amaechi and Odili are reputed to have financed the first set of militants in the state (given them their first empowerment). This is what led to a militant being officially assigned the office of Chief Security Officer of the state under Odili.

Karma is a bastard. But Wike used all means within his reach during the 2015 elections na so why the fuse!
Go there and test your popularity, and spare me this crap...
[size=13pt]The impression created by some people is not correct. Although it was witnessed that both parties tried to rig elections in Rivers State, it was also clear(apparent) to all that Wike did not really need to rig during the presidential elections and it would seem he realised this and chose not to rig in the governorship elections.

Some politicians believe the hype from sycophants when in office. It would seem this was the case with Amaechi. He seemed to embrace the delusion of a super leader incapable of drawing disapproval from 'his' adoring worshiping masses. Seeing that delusion melt away before reality is a hard pill for him to swallow so he tries to do everything to re-establish that narrative (if to no one else, at least to himself).

It is not in anyone's interest that Amaechi stays this way disconnected from reality. Some of the things he clamours for are not really important. There is more to life than some of the conflicts he either picks or stokes.

Again he will be disappointed (if he does not successfully rig) and if this happens, he is very likely to make very incendiary comments afterwards, and this I predict, will further earn him the disfavour of the Rivers political block. One thing a politician can really not afford to lose is the goodwill of his political corner of the country. Why he will be committedly involved in jeopardizing this is what we may make guesses about but may never really know.

"Start serving lunch 20 minutes later each day until they stay from 8-3... just add a tiny tea break in the morning"

This will so work. For 1 week, shift it by 20 minutes. The next week, shift it by 20 minutes. After 8 weeks, they would have unknowingly stayed for over 2 hours later. They will start getting more used to staying in school.

You may even shift it by 20 minutes every 2 days for better effect.

Better still, experiment by varying the intervals across schools and see which one leads to the best results.
