Silly thread, jealous people trying to give Rochas a bad name. We have seen the picture evidence, thank you and keep hating. N.B pictures looks like the finest places in Awka . |
Uncanny Genius: You see, you just proved that you are really blind. Your "hero" is the worst governor since the creation of Imo. By 2015, he will go to Kirikiri Prison. This is funny, because Rochas decided not to sit with a few individuals and squander the state funds, he is now the worst. Posterity will judge all the liars including you at the end. Rochas is the best governor Imo state has ever had from its creation till date and the records are straight. |
Uncanny Genius: I don't blame you because you are blind praisesinger of that crook called "Rochas".Blame yourself because you cannot keep telling lies against an innocent man. The man has done excellent and I won't hesitate to condemn him if he does wrong. Bringing up campaign of lies to smear the image of Rochas won't stand. |
amakenny: Past governors and their actions and inaction must not be the guiding light for the incumbent or future governors.Did I hear you say OHAKIM. Please if you want to critisize, be constructive. Your man OHAKIM did not do anything in Imo state, he was just a thug in power, bullying and beating up imolites. No basis of comparison with Rochas. For me Rochas is doing excellent so far and we have never had it better in Imo state. All we need do is to pray for him and possibly guide him in areas he may be making mistakes. Also if you are for PDP am sorry because the party is dead and buried in Imo state, no space for resurrection. |
one.east:Please tell us who is worth more than him in the east. My ears are eager to hear. |
The police are now working with criminals and politicians to destabilize Rivers state. This utterance from the CP is a clear evidence. This has never happened where a CP comes out openly to involve himself like this. May be Dame PEJ has threatened him. |
chidindufrank: Is normal thing. Nobe USA he buy his private jet from? Na dia customer dem visit jareBad belle won't work, the Americans are not PDP, they don't sell their conscience to the highest bidder. I guess you know about the harlibuton case and several others. Shame on those who see light and try to cover it. God will protect Amaechi and surely shame his detractors. |
Kudos Governor Amaechi and shame to Dame, her Oga at the top with all the detractors of Rivers state. The US and the world recognized your efforts in developing Rivers state, bringing peace and security which they want to learn. I remember some days back Dame told us Rivers state is no longer attractive but this visit proves her totally wrong and sends a clear signal of what they planned for state. |
There is nothing to show. The state revenue and allocation is shared among politicians, traditional rulers and militant group leaders. The people are very poor and always manipulated. |
Policewoman: For your info, I come from Rivers and know P.H very well like the back of my hands. Okporo road is still in a very bad shape, and part of the east west road that leads into eliowhani. Iwofe road all the way to the Naval pathfinder axis is infact the worst road in P.H and it seems the state govt had completely abandoned it. The Ada George road is being dualised but at a very low pace. The major roads are just Aba road and Ikwerre road and Amaechi should think of creating more routes so as to ease traffic in p.h which currently is terrible. He tried in doing several roads in his first tenure (stadium, old aba, Nta by mgbuoba e.t.c) but he seemed to have slowed down to a halt the moment he won his reelection.Lies against Amaechi like above is very shameful, okporo road is 80% complete even Ada George. Our only problem in terms of road in PHC is East West Road, my office is located there and the experience on that road is hell. GEJ should please allow Amaechi fix the road . Enough of politics on this issue, we are actually suffering. |
For those of us that stay in Phc, Amaechi has made the city a home and I wonder what Dame is actually talking about. Phc is better in terms of infrastructure, security and general orientation of its indigienes under Amaechi than all the previous regimes. The two people Odili and Ada-George had the worst reigns in the history Rivers state. God will continue to bless Amaechi and will always shame his detractors like Dame. |
They should use the money to fix east west road instead of using it for bribery of law makers. |
graphicsplay: Are you saying that Peter Obi participated in a 'PDP' meeting where plans to recapture Anambra state by the PDP were discussed? This must be a joke!Peter Obi is in APGA but the APGA PDP faction. They will eventually collapse into PDP while his counterpart Rochas Okorocha is also in APGA but the APGA APGA faction which will collapse into APC. APGA is a just a nomenclature, it is good as dead. |
Jonathan has done nothing in niger delta. He is still sleeping but may be he has plans of waking up 2015. Let's wait till 2015 |
I wonder why no action or pronouncement has been heard from the federal authorities. But if they hear Ameachi or lamidos posters have been pasted somewhere, you hear different stupid responses from either Abati or Okukpe. Let this lame government take a political stand against terrorism. |
I believe the fg is waiting for a nuclear bomb attack before action will be taken. The politicians and government of borno deserve some pressure from the center. |

Monguno is 135 kilometres north of Maiduguri, the state capital; and Has been an operating ground of the Islamist Boko Haram. The gunmen, according to a villager, Mallam Aisami, ambushed the West African Examination Council,WAEC, candidates on their ways home on foot and bicycles. Their hands were tied to the backs. I pray that the trying and challenging times of insecurity to lives and property here in Borno will come to an end soon by the grace of God and with the full support of our leaders in the state.” http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/04/13/gunmen-kill-many-ssce-students-in-borno/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=gunmen-kill-many-ssce-students-in-borno |
Now that the goal post have been shifted, what's next? |
Azazi broke the golden rule of silence and paid the supreme price for it. He suggested the possible means of solving the boko haram crisis but nobody cared to listen. The PDP only heard their name and just took action on that. |
There is virtually no electricity supply in my neighborhood in phc. We have had like three hours in one month and our transformer is in order and in fact it is a new one. Sometime last year it was twelve hours daily and dropped down progressively to this present state. To make matters worse we still receive estimated bills from PHCN. Am just tired of this country. |
I didn't believe the story until I saw this video and shared it on nairaland, I just feel for the people of Akwaibom, they have a retarded fellow as governor and something needs to be done and as very urgent as possible. This is the height of recklessness and gross abuse of office. |
Rochas is the man any day. |
What is American interest in Nigeria that remains the big question mark. |
Nigeria Summons US Ambassador Over Comments On Boko Haram Crisis By Fidelis Onoja on March 18, 2013 0 Nigeria has summoned United States Ambassador Terence McCulley over his comment on the Boko Haram insurgency. Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, who invited the Ambassador, discussed with him his comment, which has made the government uncomfortable. However, despite the interaction, a government source said the relationship between the two countries was not strained. Ambassador McCulley, had while speaking in a telephone conference with journalists in four West African locations on Thursday said, “The Boko Haram phenomenon has not stopped as a result of the operation going on in northern Mali. I do believe that Nigerians feel that there is a link between extremist activity in the Sahel and in their internal extremist insurgency. “The government of Nigeria clearly needs to address this issue with what we call a multi-pronged approach that focuses generally on the security threat that Boko Haram represents. Also, in addressing economic and social conditions that exist in the North, communicating to northern populations, who have suffered most from the deprivations of these extremist attacks.” A source in the ministry, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said, “It was shocking to the government for the Ambassador to have faulted our approach to the Boko Haram crisis. Apart from demanding a new approach to Boko Haram, he expressed doubts that the ongoing intervention in Mali might not solve the crisis. “We felt the Ambassador did not explore appropriate diplomatic channels to air his views on such a volatile matter. “But when the Ambassador came, he told the Minister that he was misquoted. He took time to explain what he meant during a telephonic conference call with journalists. “So far, I can tell you that the Foreign Affairs Minister and the Ambassador had fruitful interaction. There is no cause for alarm at all in our relationship with the US.” When asked if it was right to invite the Ambassador, the source asked: “Is it bad to seek clarification on any issue or comment? We need to find out if the US is not on the same page with us on Boko Haram menace. “We are concerned because the US is a member of the UN Security Council which approved the intervention in Mali.” This is the second time an American diplomat in Nigeria is summoned by the government this week. The Foreign Ministry had on Friday summoned a top U.S. diplomat over the U.S. Embassy’s Twitter account critical of the unconditional pardon given to former Bayelsa State Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, who was convicted on corruption charges. Two short tweets were published by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja. The first said the U.S. was “deeply disappointed” over the Alamieyeseigha pardon. The second tweet simply said: “We see this as a setback in the fight against corruption.” The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying it was urgently calling James P. McAnulty, the U.S. deputy chief of mission, for a meeting. The statement called the U.S. remarks “undue interference and meddlesomeness,” since the president had followed the provision of the Nigerian constitution granting him the power to issue pardons. “The ministry finally expressed the hope that the embassy of the United States of America would henceforth desist from making unwarranted comments on Nigeria’s internal affairs, which are capable of undermining the friendly relations that exist between them,” the statement had said. Meanwhile, the search for the bodies of the seven hostages allegedly killed by Jama’atu Ansarul Musilimina Fi Biladis Sudan (a.k. aAnsaru) has not yielded results. All the foreign missions with nationals among the hostages and Nigerian security agencies are carrying out investigations into where they were killed, what has become of their bodies and how to retrieve the remains of the victims. Those purportedly killed were three Lebanese and one each from Britain, Greece, Italy and the Philippines. They were all employees of SETRACO , a Lebanese construction company. It was also learnt that US drones are not in Nigeria to track down Boko Haram leaders. A Foreign Affairs Ministry source, who spoke with our correspondent, said: “The Federal Government is aware that there are US drones in Niger Republic and not in this country as being insinuated. “We have not entered into any agreement with the US to establish a drone base in this country. “We understand the apprehension of some Nigerians because we share borders with Niger Republic. So if the drones are patrolling towns and villages close to Nigeria, people are bound to be concerned.” Also, there were indications that the United Nations might float a peacekeeping operation in Mali from July. According to the UN news service, the Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Edmond Mulet, gave the hint in Bamako on Saturday after a week-long assessment visit to Mali. Mulet said: “July could see the transfer of African-led International Support Mission in Mali (AFISMA) to a UN stabilisation mission “Any UN force would be limited and focus on supporting the Malian authorities and protecting civilians. “The sovereignty of Mali is the main objective of this international support,” Mr. Mulet said. “It is not to create a buffer between the north and the south. The members of the Security Council and the member states are very clear on the need for Mali to extend its authority over all its territory,” he added. The News Service said the 15-member UN Security Council would be required to vote on any UN presence in the country. “That authorization is likely to be up for debate following a report from Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon due on 27 March. Following Security Council approval, it would take approximately another two month to deploy a force to Mali,” the News Service added. http://www.theheraldng.com/nigeria-summons-us-ambassador-over-comments-on-boko-haram-crisis |
Rochas finally vindicated by Pdp. The case of APGA PDP and APGA APGA has been proven. They wanted APGA to collapse into PDP and Rochas disappointed them by joining the progressives. Ride on Rochas and continue to shame PDP with their cohorts and sympathizers. |
She is Mrs Ifeoma Uzor Kalu and solely Orji Kalu's wife. So that's nobody's business . |
Some people want to scare GEJ from his planned maiduguri visit. Otherwise why the sudden resurrection of Shakau. Boko Haram should know that there is no alternative to peace. |
If this can happen to a police commissioner then nobody is secure in this country. May his soul rest in peace. |
ews By Tony Edike ENUGU—Tragedy struck in Enugu Saturday night when the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chinwike Asadu, was shot dead by unknown gunmen. His police orderly, Aloha Olaniyi and Driver, Oliver Omeh, who were with him at the time of the incident sustained serious bullet wounds and are said to be lying critically at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu. The incident occurred at Amorji Nike, near the densely populated Abakpa Nike area in Enugu East local government area within the state capital at about 10 pm. The Police Commissioner, who reportedly visited his home in Enugu at the weekend, was driving into his private residence when the assailants who may have laid an ambush around his residence attacked him and his aides about 100 metres away from his house. CP Asadu, according to sources, had a visitor whom he escorted along with his driver and a police orderly posted to guard his residence from Abakpa Police Division, leaving behind the official escort team that came with him from Kwara State Police Command. They were returning to the house after dropping the visitor when they suddenly noticed a bus trailing them behind as they branched into his street only for the gunmen to start firing at the vehicle from the rear. The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically killing the CP and wounding the two policemen but before they escaped, they reportedly took away the rifle of the orderly whose body was riddled with bullets. The orderly was shot on the chest, stomach, hands and leg while the driver was shot on his legs. “The CP was driving into his personal residence in Amorji Nike after dropping a visitor that night. He was with a police orderly and his driver at the time of the incident. Just about 100 metres to his house they noticed that a bus was trailing them behind and before they could know what was happening the gunmen opened fire and killed the CP instantly. His orderly and driver were also shot and they were seriously wounded. “The gunmen ran away in their bus before the CP’s escort team that was inside his compound noticed what was happening. When the escort team and sympathizers rushed to the scene, they met CP Asadu and his orderlies in a pool of blood. They were rushed to the National Orthopaedic Hospital where doctors confirmed the CP dead. The other two policemen are now on admission at the hospital,” said the source. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the incident when Vanguard contacted him yesterday, describing the attack as very unfortunate. He said that the CP was on a private visit to his home in Enugu when the incident occurred. According to him, the police would do everything possible to fish out the assailants as investigations into the bizarre incident have already commenced. The new Police Commissioner in Enugu State, Mr. Tonye Ebitibituwa, was said to have directed his men to conduct serious manhunt for the gunmen within and outside the state capital in order to track them down without delay. Meanwhile, doctors at the National Orthopeadic Hospital, Enugu are battling to save the two wounded police officers. The orderly who was seriously battered by bullets, according to doctors, was said to be in a stable condition after the surgeries conducted on him throughout Saturday night. The driver was also said to be in a stable condition. www.vanguardngr.com/2013/03/kwara-police-commissioner-shot-dead-in-enugu/ |
