Emmm, my write up has been influenced by the type of atheists I have met, including on Nairaland. They are as closed-minded to reasons different from theirs as any religious fundamentalist can be.

I tell them that it is unreasonable to say there is no God just because you don't have the capacity to prove whether or not God exists. In other words, their believe is as irrational- if not more- as they like to claim religious people are.

Religion is like a d!ck, it's ok to have one; it's even ok to be proud of it. Just don't wave it around to unsuspecting strangers, or try to force it into people; and please, keep it away from children.

I guess this disproves several creation myths. Although I don't really see many religious folks admitting that; they'll probably fend it off with their cognitive dissonance and verbal gymnastics.

God tells him what not to do, the snake convinces Eve to try it, Eve convinces Adam. That's basicallythe gist of the story.

Now, God told them that they'll die if they eat the fruit. The snake told Eve they wouldn't, but because she didn't know better, Eve didn't really have any incentive to go with God. A good analogy would be to put a baby between two people and trying to fault the child for going towards one person. Adam and Eve had no way of knowing that God represented 'good' while the snake represented 'evil' in that story, and this is because they weren't created with the knowledge of good and evil.

A lot of people on this thread are being supportive towards the dude, which is cool but I think we should stop telling gay dudes that we'll be cool 'as long as they don't try to woo you'. Because first, as a heterosexual dude I don't woo or harass every girl I befriend also, even if I did try to woo a girl and she wasn't interested (impossible btw), I wouldn't want that to be the end of the friendship after the initial awkwardness.

4. Additionally fact that the devil had to ENTICE them to rebel means they strongly clung to he instructions

From 1-3, how are they like 3 year old? Can you in your own imagination explain how DIFFERENTLY free and rational moral agents would act under thre same circumstances

Chill bro, nobody's attacking you here. This evidence you've put doesn't prove your point.

Gen 3:5: "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

This clearly shows that they did not know what they were getting themselves into because they didn't know what was right and what was wrong. If you read his passage without any emotional baggage attached, you'll see that Adam and Eve were given an unfair test that nobody would have been able to pass.

God's knowing before hand that Adam would fall does not mean he orchestrated the Fall. That is FOREKNOWLEDGE.
ORDAINING on the other hand is ordering and orchestrating events before hand.
