This thread is a prove that doctors are political. They fight Pharmacist, Nurse , Lab scientist and now their patient. I knew they will create a thread to counter the other patients' experiences towards doctors
ultron12345:
Recently, Nigerians have been sharing their experiences with Nigerian health professionals especially doctors. Doctors have in turn, decided to share their experiences at the hands of Nigerian patients.

It means most black SA citizens are insane because they are xenophobes while the white SS citizens are racist. What a great combo?

Any sane company/business will distance itself from violence. Those people are running multi million dollar industries, you expected them to come out and say they are supporting xenophobia? you don't got an aota of sense.

It is obvious you don't understand global politics. Have asked your self why and how India acquired Nuclear submarine? Do understand Nigeria is great nation with huge untapped resources? Do you know why SA dismantled their weapons? Don't start what you can't finish? Nigeria threat to develop nuclear weapon can force the world to dismantle nuclear batteries in SA talk more of weapons.
Austine1212:
With what money?

Wars are not worth it, they are expensive no country sells nuclear weapons Russia is was considering dismantling them is US does the same

Truth !!!! but please note the fight against Taliban is on Afghanistan soil and not in America.
Rosskiki:
Oh shut up, you ignoramus..... Nigeria cannot ''defeat Boko Haram'' easily because they are a terrorist organisation who do not wear uniforms, and mingle with local populations, and therefore would cause unacceptably high civilian casualties were the military to deploy maximum force to check them. The exact same problem America faces fighting groups like the Taliban and ISIS over several decades. You cannot just bomb them out of existence. Let those African countries countries come with their conventional armies and see how many seconds they will last fighting the Nigerian military.

HealthRe: Share Your Experience(s) With Nigerian Doctors by Correcto: 11:37am On Nov 27, 2019
Backed by the way you insulted another profession, it obvious you just want to play healthcare politics. I am not left in the dark regarding who pathologist is. However, I won't explain who I am just tell you that I have thorough know of who a pathologist is. I won't make any argument or educate you more because you sound inexperienced. " Science will continue to evolve for improvement" I just hope you can understand this.
lebete3000:
So what should the Pathologist do?

Funny enough, there was nothing like Med Lab Scientist before oh, those were the days quality results were being churned out, but to cut costs nowadays, na so dem bring these guys, now na different result you go dey everywhere.

Guys wey no even sabi do blood film sef, guys wey go dey diagnose Typhoid with that irresponsible test called Widal. Na them pollute the average gullible Nigerian mind sey Widal na Typhoid test, not knowing many illnesses can also give an elevated Widal result.

The use of widal is helpful, when used serially with help from the clinical features majorly.

But when hatred for the Nigerian doctor is already established as a foundation, all you tell them enters one ear and goes through the other.

I've always adviced Naija docs that the only way they can be appreciated is to leave the country, people never know the value of what they have until they lose it.

Any naija doc who's spent 5years post graduation and is still in Naija has his/herself to blame for any rubbish being spewed at them by Nigerians.

Nigerians are simply an ungrateful set of people, shikena!

And overprescribing... Its not normal to come back from a doctor's appointment with 4 or 5 different drugs except if youre elderly or chronically ill

But they will be handing them out like Tom-tom smh

The world is facing serious antibiotic resistance in the future but as usual, nobody here cares.
HealthRe: Share Your Experience(s) With Nigerian Doctors by Correcto:
Poor diagnosis and wrong / high dosage administration of medication is the greatest problem with Nigerian doctors. If I am president tomorrow every medical practitioner will be checked for proficiency regularly. Pharmacists and doctors must work together. Pharmacist must respectfully review the dosage of medication administered to patients. Doctor must consult with lab scientist to get a proper diagnosis. All health and medical workers must work together. I have a comprehensive plan already for them.
IAMCHRISTED:
It is no longer news that the nation's health system is in shambles but some will agree with me that there are great doctors in the system who are so passionate about their jobs.
Share the experience(s) you've had with them.

I hope you know Nigeria is housing a key figure in the attempted coup against Turkish president. I fell same reason a Turkish billionaire was supporting IPOB would be same reason
KenModi:
I am not shocked at this news although the truth is yet to be confirmed. However, if the rumour is true, I am curious why Erdogan would be interested in Nigeria and Boko Haram when he has the PKK (Kurdish freedom fighters) and Syria to deal with.

But going by his heavy hand on the Kurds and his aim to make them and their culture extinct, I won’t be surprised if he has a hand in sponsoring Boko Haram or maybe this is just a campaign of falsehood by the Egyptian governmenthuh

EducationRe: FG Abolishes Admission Policy On Catchment Area For Varsities by Correcto: 12:19pm On Nov 24, 2019
Probably scores from southwest were too poor to be considered or southwest candidates didn't apply
AkimJ:
You have only said what you think and not based on facts and your view is prejudiced.

UI and UniAbuja has been operating without catchment area for years and applicants are admitted strictly on merit. No Yoruba gets admission to UNN in preference above any Igbo.

Any Yoruba that gets admitted to UNN is strictly on his or her own merit. UNN have the following areas as catchment states Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Rivers.Don't spread false information. Studies carried out shows that the federal universities have largely been implementing the catchment areas policy faithfully and JAMB has been monitoring compliance. In case you want to insinuate otherwise, would your insinuation even be reasonable?

What would be the basis of UNN deliberately deviating from official policy to favour Yoruba? Of the 15 VCs that UNN has had in her history, 2 were expatriates, 11 are Igbos, one was from Plateau and one from core north. Since 1999 all VCs have been Igbo. So what special interest or basis would make UNN to go out of her ways against the policy to favour Yoruba?

The only basis where a non Igbo may get admission with lesser score over an Igbo in UNN is on the basis of educationally disadvantaged state and NO South west state is considered educationally disadvantaged so no South west state is on that list. For example on the list of admission for UNN in 2016 that was posted by a Nairalander, we have the following for pharmacy:

S/N-Score-State
75-291-imo*
*76-291-imo*
*77-288-imo*
*78-241-adamawa*
*79-256-bauchi*
*80-278-bayelsa*
*81-270-benue*
*82-268-crossriver*
*83-278-ebonyi*
*84-251-gombe*
*85-271-jigawa*
*86-266-kadunna*
*87-250- kano*
*88-280-kebbi*
*89-263-koggi*
*90-257-nasarrawa*
*91-263-niger*
*92-244-plateau*
*93-257-rivers*
*94-249-sokoto*
*95-263-taraba*
*96-284-zamfara*

No single candidate from South west.

I follow, consult and am versed about university admissions and I am writing based on experience. However lest my view be taken as being subjective I have provided some references here about views from others to debunk this. I hope you can take the time to go through them because for space and time I wont copy the details here.

Big truth bro, my youngest bro had to score 286 average to get pharmacy but he was surprise to see someone from Gombe with 234 in pharmacy for pharmacy while his friend from Imo with 250 was not given
mrvitalis:
Finally ......UNN has been the only school I knew off that it was easier for a Yoruba man , northerner or south south to get admission than an Igbo man

Had a friend from Edo who entered economics with 218 average ....why someone from IMO n anambra can't even get with 260

My Gombe neighbor got pharmacy with 235 while I know people from Igbo who got 270 n didn't get

If you are from bayelsa 260 can get u medicine but if you are from Igbo ...305 might not get you in

Felt it was messed up ...because unilag ,UI and OAU won't give Igbo's that treatment ,same with ABU or uni port

UNN model is the model all schools should follow

45% national merit ,40% state merits , 10%( staff kids, host community ,special case ) 5% ( well man know man

I will call her on phone to come back home from wherever she is, hug and kiss her, reassure her of my love for her; prepare her favourite meal, and make the bed for her to sleep. We will look for the way forward afterwards ranging from sending her abroad to counselling.

You know why?

She needs me now more than ever. The whole world is against her. The hypocrites.

I will be with her now!

Another option is to disown her, let her go into depression and may be suicide.
