The surgery didn't happen, the gal and her parents were very grateful with me.
But that was one of the genesis of my tribulations in Benue

No I didn't, but I had to mind my business in somethings cos I was warned by my colleagues that they kill people for less in Benue state.
The quack doctor was later arrested that yr by SARS cos he was found out to be a gun runner.
They saw me as a thorn in their flesh wen I came cos dey said I reduced their income by prescribing less medications and lesser surgeries

Sensational reporting without any iota of evidence.
1) The reporter didn't confirm wether the guy is actually a doctor.
2) Appendix is clearly different from the ovaries. If he is a doctor, he will definitely know.
3) Absence of ovaries on routine ultrasound scan does not mean the doctor removed the ovaries. Sometimes, the person doing the ultrasound may be inexperienced etc Will he remove the two ovaries at the same time? The worst thing that could have happened was that he would remove the right sided ovary where the appendix is usually located. He won't likely have access to the left ovary so that one will be intact. If the left ovary is intact, why won't she menstruate? She may be having primary ovarian failure that is not related to the surgery.
By and large, reporters should stop this kind of one sided reporting without full investigation. The doctor won't be able to respond because you have to maintain confidentiality regardless of the accusation. He will only be able to discuss details with a properly constituted medical inquiry. Stop online accusation without finding out facts

My brother, you should have known by now that Nigerians in general and nairalanders in particular hate doctors. Any issue that want to paint doctors in a bad light, dey rush to argue ignorantly.

I served in a rural community in Benue state and I can tell you that the number of quacks in that state is more than registered practitioners dere.
They have a lot of school of health that train people in CHEW & JCHEW. These students assume themselves to be doctors and nurses.
While the male ones answer doctors, the females are seen as nurses.
When they attend clinical attachments in hospitals, they strive to learn how to cut. And once dey graduate, they enter the villages and open their clinics and start this unholy practice.
