European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Is Arsene Wenger A Magician? by Cougar2: 5:05pm On Feb 03, 2011 |
norrisman: did you generate these figures from your behind? walcott is 12 million, nasri is 16 million and koscielny is 10 million. besides that, what have these runts won since wenger bought robin van persie(the oldest of the lot)? nothing. like evra said, arsenal is an academy. a football institution to groom embryos and play exhibition football. chelsea spend money and they win trophies. arsenal don't spend and they don't win. i know what i'd rather have. |

ritchboy: eaxctly my point. since the data available to you was wrong, then you are wrong completely and it renders your excuses null n void. next time, consult the official stats before jumping into a debate. |

ritchboy: so why did you argue 8 is not the half of 12 if your mind was focussed on all competitions? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 12:07pm On Feb 03, 2011 |
HNIC: we all know the whole world pities arsenal's predicament. arsenal have won a large number of dodgy penalty decisions this season and it's because match officials are desperate to aid arsenal to win something this season. ifffhs gave wenger the manager of the last decade how can wenger be the best manager of the last decade when he's been trophyless for half-a-decade? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 11:42am On Feb 03, 2011 |
ritchboy: what else could i be talking about? carling cup games or emirate cup where nani doesn't feature? you came out with your chest-beating attitude that nani/bale/malouda have contributed 8 league goal assists until your delayed logic process decided to check the stats properly. admit you are wrong so we can deal with your psych-evaluation with immediate alacrity. Double N: * Premier League (: 1995–96, 1996–97, 1998–99, 1999–2000, 2000–01, 2002–03, 2006–07, 2008–09 * FA Cup (3): 1995–96, 1998–99, 2003–04 * Football League Cup (2): 2005–06, 2009–10 * FA Community Shield (3): 1996, 1997, 2008 * UEFA Champions League (1): 1998–99 * Intercontinental Cup (1): 1999 * FIFA Club World Cup (1): 2008 neville truly was one of the best players in europe in his position during his prime. fantastic right-back, and he played a crucial role in a long period of success for united. his personality rubs people up the wrong way, but he's loyal, professional and completely passionate about the club he played for. i bet every team wishes they had someone like him in this era of lazy mercenaries. neville is a throwback to when players were emotionally tied to their clubs for life - do you hear the drums? torres? thierry henry? carlos tevez? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 12:03am On Feb 03, 2011 |
ritchboy: you have lost your ability to count so i won't push this any further. bale has one league assist, not three. . . . .and if you count the combined league assists of bale, nasri and malouda, nani has twice as many as they have got. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 11:41pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
ritchboy: firstly, arshavin has 9 league assists. nani has 12 of those. secondly, nasri has 1 league assist(same as van der sar), bale has 1 league assist as well and malouda has 4 league assists. 4 + 1 + 1 = 6 league assists(combined league assists of 3 world class wingers) and nani has 12 in the league alone. i used to think you are one of the few gooners who could count, i thought wrong.
how is this relevant to the topic of discussion? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 9:04pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
debosky: not only because of that cross. he also tamed ronaldinho in that tie. moreover, neville was outstanding in the last 5 games of last season where he featured against man city(away). . . .he murdered craig bellamy in that match as well. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:59pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
HNIC: last season, he supplied a tasty cross to assist a rooney header against ac milan. if neville should have retired 3 yrs ago then wenger should have retired 6 yrs ago(the last time he won a trophy). |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:03pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
Mr_TA: all united players are under-rated. the most under-rated player in europe is luis nani. ask any sports journo, they will tell you paraplegics like bale, nasri, arshavin and joe cole are all better than nani. roll out the contribution each player has made this season and you will be shocked nani's goal assists is twice (bale + nasri + malouda) combined. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 7:52pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
duduspace: you are a football novice and i don't need your welcome package. stuff it up your rectum. Mr_TA: gary is a legend. all oldies have soiled the latter part of their career with shitty performances here and there. players who are supposed to be in their peak have also played some rubbish games. neville's last few games cannot stain his legendary status. he's won more premier league titles than all the other 19 clubs put together. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 7:39pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
dayokanu: the less said about duduspace, the better for the good of this forum. i still remember lecturing him about roman's vast wealth on the chelsea thread that roman is utterly minted. now that it's clear to him that the purported vision 20/20 sold to him by frank arnesen and peter kenyon is a myth, the shackles are now completely off and he will spend again like he did in the mid-2000s. |

debosky: i hear you. . . . . . .but why is cesc such a big irritant these days. always in the media for the wrong reasons. if he's not waving an imaginary card, he's challenging officials or pissing off opponents. |

debosky: fc lorient isn't longer a ligue 1 club in france? since when? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 5:37pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
debosky: walcott had such clause because of his age and his inexperience at top level. southampton wanted to be sure arsenal weren't poaching the teenager and leaving him to rot on the bench. koscielny is not 16 when he was bought and neither was he a 2nd division player in france. two different issues, mr debosky. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 5:11pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
debosky: story! i have first hand information about every single transfer deal in europe. koscielny cost 11 million euros. i am not disputing the add-ons or wages or whatever else involved. the bottom line is wenger paid 11 mil euros to get koscielny. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 4:32pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
debosky: come off it. . . . .koscielny was bought for 10 mil pounds or 11 mil euros - which is quite abnormal cos his ability technically isn't more than 3 million pounds. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 4:20pm On Feb 02, 2011 |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 3:36pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
mbulela: buying javier hernandez for 7 million is normal. van der vaart for 7 milla is also normal. koscielny for 10 milla is abnormal. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 3:24pm On Feb 02, 2011 |
StarBoard: under normal circumstances, charlie adam shouldn't be more than 3 million. but in today's crazy transfer market, 10 million is about right. charlie adam is a trojan, he has a fantastic delivery on him and he's a bit more than your average mediocre scottish player. |
