debosky: still acting the tool that you are. rvp didn't get sent off. . . .he got a yellow. a player on yellow should have been more responsible. van persie knew he was offside. he was looking at the line assistant as he controlled the ball. you can tell van persie heard it by his reaction/body language to what was a shocking miss on goal in what he supposedly considered live play. he deserved the red card. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 2:35pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
ritchboy: you cannot talk about cesc gifting barcelona a goal when your only game in the match was an own goal from busquets. even after cesc lost the ball, barcelona still had so much work to do to get the ball into the net. messi's skill to chip the ball over the goalie and volley it home was exquisite.
gone where? that was a stone-wall penalty. the referee missed it.
a player cannot have his hands on the face of another player. it's a red card offence.
it wasn't koscielny. it was van persie. kicking the ball after a goal has been scored is simply time-wasting. the referee must have seen that or told by his officials or barcelona players. he had that on his mind when van persie(who knew he was offside) still attempted to take a shot. van persie's lack of emotions after that shot told me he heard the whistle. if a player of his quality misses from that position, he will be holding his head in his hands disappointingly but he showed no expression at all(cos he knew the whistle had gone). |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 2:12pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
i can actually say the referee was biased against barcelona. * he denied barcelona a penalty when messi was fouled in the first half. * van persie should have been sent off when he slapped a barcelona player in the first half * van persie should have received his second yellow when arsenal got the equalizer. he kicked the ball to row z immediately after the goal to waste time. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 2:08pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
to be fair, the injuries might have been responsible for the odd team selection lately. you don't lose valencia, js park, vidic, rio, anderson and hargreaves without feeling the pinch but then fergie should have done better in anfield. giggs/scholes should not be starting any game for us away from home. at best, one of them should be coming on the pitch for the other. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 2:03pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
ritchboy: this is a bit pointless considering the fact arsenal's only goal was via busquets heading into his own net. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 11:58am On Mar 09, 2011 |
Emperoh: 26 yrs or more than 35 yrs coaching experience. we should tear the contracts of giggs/scholes. those guys should leave so we know who's left in the team and then rebuild from there. they are united's biggest problems and until we get rid, there won't be any addition to that area of the pitch. we got anderson and nani because carlos queiroz was here and his intention was to replace scholes/giggs. four years later, scholes and giggs are still here with another 1-year contracts to boot! the mind boggles. . . . . |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 11:16am On Mar 09, 2011 |
Emperoh: i got so angry i called mutv to rain expletives on sir alex! what was he thinking? fletcher has been absent in all the times we have lost to liverpool in the past 6 seasons and we have won in all the games he has featured. it's no brainer - fergie's selection killed the team. we had 2 centre-backs who haven't formed any understanding with each other and we did not protect them at all. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 1:09am On Mar 09, 2011 |
debosky: we were told these decisions even themselves out. fletcher got sent off in a semi-final one cold night at the emirates. remind us who benefited from that decision by scoring via a penalty kick? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 12:34am On Mar 09, 2011 |
sirwebs: wrongly sent off? van persie pushed a man in his face(1st yellow) then he tried to waste time by shooting when he knew he was offside. of course, he deserved to be sent off. then again, when busquets copped his own goal, van persie picked the ball and kicked it into row z. the referee must have seen that. van persie being a veteran should know better. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 12:30am On Mar 09, 2011 |
dayokanu: this can't be correct. a team went 90 mins on the pitch without shooting on target and off target? arsene wenger should be sacked. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 12:25am On Mar 09, 2011 |
Mr_TA: we are man utd. . . . . .we will do what we want and that thing is. . . . . .we don't win the easy way. there will always be hiccups n coughs along the road. reminiscent of 2008/9. liverpool trounced us 4-1 at old trafford. . . . .we lost 0-3 at craven cottage and villa were running away with it until ronaldo and macheda stole the show. it's a temporary glitch. fergie killed any chance we had by leaving fletcher on the bench against liverpool and playing two old men in a 4-man midfield. he has learnt his lesson now and the game on saturday is going to be huge. |

PhysicsMHD: george bush senior ruled after killing millions in iraq in 91. his son(george junior) continued where his father left off in 2004 and nigerians didn't complain. mohammed abacha is a nigerian and he's entitled to contest for the governor of his state. his father's issues should not be mixed with his own mandate. |

coded guy: arsenal are big time bottlers. they have simply forgotten how to win league titles. i am happy they are the team breathing down united's neck and not chelsea or liverpool. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 7:42pm On Mar 05, 2011 |
coded guy: nasri said. . . . "Winning the Carling Cup could have helped us but now we have to show we are men, that we have the guts to give our answer in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup." "If we beat Sunderland, we move to within a point of United and then they play at Liverpool on Sunday without [Nemanja] Vidic and [Rio] Ferdinand and, this year, United are really strong at the back so something can happen there. They hate each other. And if we win our game at Tottenham, we can be on top. So that is why I say we feel we can win the title. you would think that a club like arsenal would have learnt their lessons in the past to advise their players on when and when not to tape it shut! |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 7:33pm On Mar 05, 2011 |
welbeck should have scored to really rub salt into wenger's injury - but i am still fyne as it is. debosky: like you and other gaynners said on tuesday, these things even themselves out over a season. get on with it! |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 9:33pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
HNIC: david dein was a director in arsenal then and he also ran the fa at that time. is it coincidence arsenal stopped winning after david dein left arsenal fc?
he forgot! urologists were convinced they should have found at least 1% of controlled substances in his sample even after 2 weeks but they found none. he was banned because david dein told blatter about it and they decided to make rio an example. a blackman from peckham area - who cares? if it was beckham, you think he would be banned?
well, fact remains united were 5 points clear until then and the absence of rio lost united the title. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 9:26pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
HNIC: we are still four points clear. . . .arsene wenger moans than any other manager on the planet. didn't he say winning the league is not important but finishing in the top four? he berated ipswich the other night. he has complained over everything. that's what happens to a club that needs viagra. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 9:06pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
HNIC: if he takes drugs like you alluded, they woulda found drugs in his urine sample. rio didn't turn up on friday but turned up on monday(and the sample should still have been found if he had taken anything in the first place). reprobate david dein saw an opportunity to screw man utd and he made sure rio was banned for 8 mths. it's one of the reasons arsenal havent won the league since then. you guys are serving the punishment for your injustice.
that is irrelevant cos drugs stay in the system for up to two weeks. you cannot fool science as kolo toure must have learnt this week.
yes o. the league's highest goal scorer can do igbo. your r@pist however is still battling to score 12 league goals in his entire career. HNIC: they are all unmarried. as a single bloke, the law permits you to sleep with as many women as possible. thierry henry was a married man when he slept with a waiter. ashley was a married man when he cheated too and errrrrr, van persie r@ped a woman from your village in amsterdam. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 9:00pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
Mr_TA: hnic is a twunt so expect him to bring a non-issue to score cheap brownie points. nemanja was doing his duty of protecting his goal and a gaynner feels vidic lunged dangerously at drogba because of what happened in summer 2008. . . .how daft can gaynners be? |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:48pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
HNIC: rio didn't fail a drug's test(he was punished for failing to turn up for his test) - gaynners are too thick to understand and berbatov's cigarettes isn't a class-a drug. there's a common denominator in the behaviour of arsenal players(current and ex players). van persie r@ped a nigerian model, ashley cole cheated with a hairdresser and shot a student. henry cheated on his wife, bendtner got drunk till the point of dropping his pants in public, jack wilshere got involed in a club brawl and arsene wenger himself was caught cheating with a babe young enough to be his grand-daughter. arsenal fc are a disgrace.
vidic is drogba's father any time of the day. vidic plays, drogba disappears. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Posts Financial Loss After Wembley Defeat by Cougar2: 8:44pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
duduspace: everyone knew it was off. c-n-n reported the referee's decision. they did not say messi was offside.
he's an arsenal legend and he knows the club is nose-diving with the long trophy drought.
there's no ifs and buts here. only dolts like you would predict united's downfall because of an artificial debt. the club's turnover is about 300 million. they cop the highest attendance in europe and they have the most popular sporting brand in the world. how won't they manage their debt?
who are the important players in arsenal? gooners are crying for the club to add quality to the defence and you are here braying like an ass- that arsenal are not selling important players. toure isn't important? adebayor? hleb? flamini? henry? what are those players? inferior?
man utd still won the community shield in august of 2010 beating chelsea so i don't know if your amnesia is acute or slight. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:31pm On Mar 03, 2011 |
Mr_TA: the funny bit is carrick is actually rated in spain than in england cos spanish players appreciate michael carrick's possession football rather than the huff puff midfielders we tend to appreciate in the league. we have been dire this season in that area because of fletcher and because paul scholes doesn't have the legs anymore to cover every blade of grass. carrick is now permanently the defensive midfielder. we cannot expect him to shield his back four and also expect him to supply those tasty passes of his in 2006-2009. he now plays deeper than he's ever played with us. fletcher is the culprit not carrick. . . . .when fletcher gets his form back, united will be okay. ok then. . . . . .kolo toure just failed a drug test. let's see if the fa will give him 8 mths ban like they killed rio in 2004. i am sure he learnt this habit under wenger. i am confident eboue n djourou will also fail drug test with their engine eyes. |

debosky: rooney was the player of the year last season scoring 34 goals. no arsenal striker has achieved that since henry left the shores of this country 4 yrs ago. rooney has nothing to prove again, same as torres but mor0n chamakh, he will be sent packing like eduardo by next year. Emperoh: so you know there's a thread for gays like you? how would you know such if you ain't a gay yourself. . . . .hmmm, the mind boggles. |

yet another one. i am beginning to think no nigerian marriage is happy these days. it's always cheating, in-laws, poverty and child barrenness. what is going on in nigeria? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 6:42pm On Mar 02, 2011 |
RuuDie: rooney made hernandez so toothless. there was a break in the 2nd half with hernandez playing a back pass to rooney and the mexican turned expecting a through-ball with chelsea defending with a high line. with the right pass, i am sure hernandez would have fleeced john terry with his pace and woulda been one on one with cech(like chicharito's 2nd goal against wigan on saturday) but rooney cocked up the pass.
anderson is injured and i think rafael's height is the reason o'shea is preferred when we don't have rio or vidic in the team. i also think fergie didn't want to play 2 inexperienced defenders(smalling and rafael) against a very experienced chelsea attack.
get rio fit on sunday and hope one of js park/valencia starts running by next week. |
