debosky: fabio wasn't stationary towards the build-up to that goal. koscielny was stationary when hernandez headed the ball cos he was expecting almunia to save the ball/expecting hernadez to head wide. . . . .fabio had the head-start and he's always favoured to get to the ball first. koscielny tried what he could and on another day, he woulda forced fabio to miss. watch the replay, fabio nearly missed an open net.
probably the ball was kind to vidic. another example was the liverpool game. suarez's freekick, van der spilled and kuyt scored from the rebound. there was no single united player 15 yards near kuyt. the attacking team reacts faster to such scenarios than the defending team. you play fifa on playstation, you should know this.
how did the play get to that in the first place? that is what you should be investigating. . . . .not defenders failing to react to a ball that could have gone anywhere. how many of those rebounds got cleared today with no united player around to attack it. when there's a rebound or deflection, the defending team is blameless. where the ball drops into is not anyone's making or ingenuity. chamotex: thanx mr dj. . . . . , arsenal don't let nobody. . . . . .nobody but man utd(to pee on their diseased body). |

dayokanu: we are ready to wait for you. just come back in good health to spin the turntable. debosky: debosky, you are being unfairly harsh here. the advantage is always with the attacking side when there's a rebound. there's practically nothing a defender can do facing his own goal in such scenario. the defender will end up scoring an own goal if he tries too hard. almunia should have kept the ball or parried it out of touch for a corner. . . . .once he spills it and the ball is live then anything can happen. i also think you didn't give fabio his credits for his passion and desire to get to the rebound. chamotex: chamo, i heard you are the deputy dj. pls pls pls, i need you to play "she don't let nobody" by chakademus and pliers. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:52pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
debosky: i believe so but united would have scored more goals too especially after djourou went off.
chamakh should have aimed the bottom corner instead of heading to the ground and hoping the rebound would beat van der sar. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 8:50pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
arsenal played well cos united's midfield was non-existent. fergie's a sly fox. he smothered the midfield by playing rooney as an extra midfielder and told his players to hit arsenal on a counter. those annoying long balls from united's defence made me sick. arsenal were pretty good with the build-up play but they lacked the killer instinct in the final third. arshavin must be the player with the lowest mental strength in the universe. if he tries two tricks and he doesn't get through, he gets shattered. i will walk through wes brown and i am not a professional footballer. brown was there for the taking and i am wondering why nasri wasn't moved there when arshavin was getting no joy. djourou's injury is a big blow and as a united fan, this evening is peach perfect. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:34pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
debosky: those shots were aimed straight at him. almunia did better than van der sar today with those goal-line saves he made at the death. the only quality save vds had was the koscielny one and the van persie(first half). others were simply straight balls. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 8:28pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
debosky: i was just told now there's going to be a second leg at the emirates next fortnight. play your strongest team in that one. jeepers creepers, how can a midfield of fabio, rafael, gibson and oshea beat arsenal? i remember debosky saying playing rafael n fabio against arsenal would be suicidal. you are lucky both of them are dwarfs. it should have been 3 goals in the first half have they taken their heading chances. presido1: i am sending a horrible email to the fa soon. this is just so bad. the injustice in this league is making me sick. why was sir alex on the pitch? shouldn't he be serving his 100-match ban for yapping his mouth about atkinson the other day? then fabio/rafael started too. those boys are illegal immigrants and the home office can't do shyt about them. shame. valencia that shouldn't be playing again this season had his ankles fixed(the fa picked his bill). chicharito is high on banned substances and john o'shea is not human. for how long would this continue? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 8:25pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
debosky: absentees rio anderson carrick fletcher nani berbatov arsenal are really a useless team. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 8:23pm On Mar 12, 2011 |
presido1: i think arsenal lost because the referee sent djourou off. the referees are biased against arsenal. one sent van persie off in nou camp and chris foy sent djourou off again tonight. arsenal should complain to fifa. this is getting too much for wenger's team. had djourou completed 90 mins, he would have scored a special hatrick today. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 10:14pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
debosky: wrong! the aim of any football manager is to win all the competitions his club will feature. what has been wenger's excuse of not winning anything since may 2005? the main goal is to win competitions, not to be competitive. by default, arsenal should be in the top four teams in the league. wenger has not done anything extraordinary between 2005-2011 in the league. he has never won the carling cup before and he only managed to play in the champions league final once in 2006.
wenger hasn't really attempted what? has he been fielding 10 players instead of the required 11? arsenal were able to win fa cup 4 times when the english league was dominated by wenger and fergie. it was between those two clubs in those days - since abramovic came into the scene, wenger has been potless. city and spurs are now in the mix as well so wenger's chances of winning it even if he intends to is now negligible. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 6:58pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
debosky: why is it illogical? are you trying to say arsenal didn't have quality players to challenge for a single title in the past 6 years? considering the fact tottenham, portsmouth and birmingham have won titles in the same period then it's fair to say arsene wenger has no excuse. dayokanu: are you saying wenger has been barren in the last 6 yrs? 22 miscarriages in the last 6 yrs is a bad record. on saturday, wenger might cop another one making it 23 mishaps in 6 yrs caused by a fault of his own. wenger needs a womb transplant. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 6:46pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
debosky the toolie, after 15 yrs in the premier league, can we compare what wenger has won to what fergie won in his first 15 yrs? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 6:34pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
debosky: this is hilarious. arsenal fans have told us in the past wenger is better than ferguson even when the stats say otherwise. y'all losers used to bring out their head to head stats as at 2008 but that excuse is no longer valid as ferguson has beaten wenger like 5 times consecutively since then. 3 times in 15 years is failure considering the quality of players wenger possessed in that 15-year period. if you cannot win in europe with henry, vieira, bergkamp, anelka, wiltord, pires, etc then you will never win in europe. around the time france were the best team in the world. several of their big players were playing for arsenal - the equivalent of barcelona these days. yet, barca won the treble but arsene wenger keeps failing. dayokanu: debosky is a disgrace if he can open his mouth and defend wenger's record in the past six seasons. how can one be so deluded not to admit wenger's blueprint is not working at all. who tries the same methods for 6 years without getting the desired outcome? a doofus. debosky told us saf hasn't won anything this season so he is wenger's equal on that. . . . . .well, ferguson won the community shield in august beating the english champions. that little achievement is better than whatever wenger has done since 2005. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 6:09pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
debosky: fabio can play as a winger. that was where he operated for brazil's national under 17 team before he came to old trafford. he has got pace and he can cross, just like his twin brother. evra is superb going forward but his final ball is hit-n-miss at best. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 1:18am On Mar 10, 2011 |
chamotex: and fabio is an accomplished winger. that's what he plays for the reserve team and i think he once scored a hatrick from that position. we need carlos queiroz back. mike phelan adds nothing tactically to this team. he just sits down with his ogufe head licking fergie's behind. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 1:08am On Mar 10, 2011 |
Emperoh: their primary position is even more delicate as they are closer to the goal and any mistake might lead to a goal/penalty. but in the midfield, they are further away from the defence and their energy to run back and forth will be immense. i really hope fergie will try them there on saturday against arsenal if js park/valencia don't make the starting line-up. evra and fabio on the left flank will destroy teams. if gareth bale can carve a niche for himself starting as a full-back before graduating to a winger then i am confident the twins can do the same. they are pacy and they can cross the ball. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 1:04am On Mar 10, 2011 |
HNIC: why would you complain at all after watching that show of shame by arsenal? no shots on target for 90 mins and you are talking about red card? if that game was boxing, referee would have ended it in the first 45 mins. arsenal were battered beyond redemption. the goal that brought you back into it was scored by a make-shift defender(busquets) who shouldn't be a centre back but for the absence of pique/puyol. arsenal offered nothing and the best team won on the night.
van persie knew he was in an offside position. his frustration led him to continue and take a swipe at the ball. he was miles offside. . . .he looked at the line assistant as he got his first touch. he knew what he was doing as his body language showed he wasn't shooting to score but shooting the ball to waste time. arsenal were leading on aggregate when van persie was sent off. why didn't you keep it that way till the 90th minute like mourinho did or like man utd did at the emirates when fletcher got sent off unfairly? |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 4:40pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
Krayola: you cannot go six years without a trophy and not whine like arsenal do. in sheer numbers, arsenal have lost out in 22 consecutive competitions in the last 6 years. if one's wife miscarries 22 times in the last 6 years from a fault of her own. . . . .the husband has the right to whine and die there. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 4:20pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
debosky: considering the way you and your posse set camps in other club threads, it's fair to say you are an unadulterated doofus for even bringing this up. Krayola: it's ridiculous. there's no single arsenal fan that admitted barcelona were the better team in the first leg. messi's legit goal was even ruled as a marginal offside. then, they all thought wenger was the messiah, jack wilshere will be bought by barcelona, koscielny is better than vidic and sagna will rival cafu. fast forward three weeks and messi has now scored 6 good goals against arsenal in the last 3 matches. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 4:13pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
dayokanu: this is my wahala with arsenal. i really don't have any problem with a small team with limited ability defending their lives against big teams but when arsene wenger complains about stoke, birmingham, ipswich, etc and he deploys the same tactics against barcelona, villareal and real madrid then it's hypocrisy. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 4:06pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
Krayola: ohhhh, so you changed your mind? i can swear i have seen you defending these spineless gooks as the best football team in england. what changed? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 3:54pm On Mar 09, 2011 |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 3:49pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
debosky: good luck on that!
nope, the fact that bendtner had a chance to shoot proves arsenal could have gone for it with or without van persie. you just shot yourself in the foot. the fact that van persie was sent off didn't completely ruin arsenal's chances of qualifying. bendtner had a golden chance. if you had tried more, you would have copped other chances.
well, the whistle sounded. . . . .van persie chose not to hear it. the outcome was spine-chilling. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 3:37pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
debosky: this boy is a tool. rvp get sent off in the barca half(but he was offside) so it renders his position and his wayward shot useless. this is why his attempt wasn't recorded as a shot off target.
hit who late? how were you ever going to do that? at the emirates, the intent was clear - arsenal kept hitting on counter-attacks in the first half and would have scored with a bit of luck and quality. last night, i saw none of that. wenger came to defend a 2-1 lead. he was never going to come out of his shell and attack and yet this silly french pedo criticizes bottom teams of parking the bus against his team in the premier league. such hypocrisy!
van persie knew he was offside before the whistle went off. look at his body language again when he made his first touch on the ball.
it shouldn't have. as at the time van persie was sent off, the score was 1-1. arsenal's 10 men should be good enough to have seen that through. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 3:18pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
FBS: arsenal fans have rubbished other english clubs that went to camp nou in the past of parking the bus. what i saw from arsene wenger yesterday was a disgrace. chelsea weren't that poor. . . .neither were united when they went to camp nou. arsenal did not even get out of their half. how can a team play football for 90 mins without attempting a shot on target, without attempting a shot off target. it means arsenal didn't even shoot over the bar throughout 90 mins. wenger should lookat the performance of his boys rather than blame the referee. arsenal disgraced the premier league. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Cougar2: 3:12pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
Mr_TA: he travelled with the team to anfield i think but he was chalked off the team list just before the kick-off. we need pace on the flanks and i think fergie should just play the twins on the flanks. rafael and fabio will do a better job than giggs or fletcher on the flanks. play o'shea and evra as full backs, rafael as a right winger and fabio as a left winger. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (A New Strength, A New Hope). by Cougar2: 3:07pm On Mar 09, 2011 |
ritchboy: with the way arsenal parked the truck at camp nou, barca were denied the space they needed to score goals. how did barca's goal come about from an unforced error? this is a team that presses everywhere on the pitch. what cesc was trying to do was smart if it had paid off but barca players knew exactly what cesc wanted to do and they intercepted it. that wasn't an unforced error. against teams like wigan or bolton, cesc would get away with that everyday of the week.
he was in possession. that was a smart dribbling skills from messi and diaby caught his legs. that was a stone-wall pen in europe.
except that abidal had his hands on a player's neck. neck is not face, ritchboy. try again.
the exact reason why any of your players shouldn't have done that. waste time by prolonging the celebration. don't kick the ball away. yet again, arsenal's inexperience/lack of discipline was their undoing last night. some of those yellow cards/incidents could have been avoided.
it does if you were already cautioned. the referee must have seen his mistake during the break by not punishing van persie more severely for his slap on dani alves. he had robin on his mind and van persie gave the referee the perfect opportunity to be sent off. van persie's attempt on goal was out of frustration. if robin didn't hear the whistle like he claims , he would have made a better use of the ball than he did and his body-language after his terrible miss would have been different. |
