Jesus was not asked about the 'SIGNS' but the 'sign' and he gave several aspects just as I may ask you for your 'password' and not 'passwords'. Some churchgoers even say things like 'end time' or last days. I showed this to an atheist and he did not deny it but argued that the Bible said last days and not 'last years' and many decades have passed so the last days must have expired but these things still influence us as we are fearful of what is to come seeing the economic, security and moral breakdown. What is even worse with the JWs is when they made those False prophecies, they lied that the prophecies are from God. They used God's name to lie. They claimed the prophecies are from the Bible. Imagine the look on God's face when all of that was happening repeatedly and you think God's wrath will not fall on them just as he expressed great anger at false prophets amongst the Israelites. For God to order that False Prophets be killed, banished and their names and records removed from the Israelites tells you what he will do to Watchtower and JWs.

Now add the effects of those false prophecies on people's lives. People were rendered homeless and penniless when they sold their homes and belongings because of them. Some even stopped or forgone child bearing because of these prophecies. I even watched a very old video of people going to Bethel Headquarters to protest because of what they lost to False prophecies. What did Watchtower do to compensate those that lost so much? Nothing! No apologies! They just moved on as if nothing happened. They just made the people look stupid and blamed them for believing their lies. And you think God will not punish them? JWs lack respect and adoration for Almighty God and Jesus with their many Lies. And that is why they were so bold as to lie that those are not false prophecies, they are wrong expectations. This is what they will give as excuse to Jesus when he judges the world.

First lemme tell you one thing. Nothing shocked me pass the idea that a Christian group will mention a date that Jesus became king and not even an ancient date, a date of about 100 years ago.
I did my research. Truly, Daniel prophecy has two fulfillment. I saw this with my own eyes through the Bible, it was not something they told me but I did my research, calculation following Bible chronology and prophecies. There was no one to guide me, just like the Christians in Beroa, I did not just accept the 1914 thing
I was mesmerized and even helped some others who are not too good in calculation to prove to them as well.

Analysis 2: The book of Daniel you JWs use to calculate 1914,the verses talk about what will happen to King Nebuchadnezzar. And it said that the prophecy happened exactly as it should to King Nebuchadnezzar only. There is no verse that talks about a 2nd fulfillment of that prophecy. In order to calculate to arrive at 1914, you must assume there is a 2nd fulfillment. An Antitype. Where did you get this 2nd fulfillment from? Why the assumptions? Watchtower also claimed that they have gotten rid of Antitype teachings in verses where a 2nd fulfillment is not mentioned. Why didn't Watchtower get rid of 1914 doctrine since it is a product of Antitype teaching that was imagined and not found in the Bible?

JWs only read isolated verses when they have points to prove. That's because Watchtower actually dictates to them what verses to read. Watchtower selects verses and discards others that go against their doctrines. This is why JWs read the Bible the way they do and forgo so many other verses that actually contradicts them. For example, JWs are not aware that Almighty God and Jesus actually exposed Watchtower as False prophets. If they had the habit of reading Verses in context, they would have known. A very good example of selection of verses and discarding of others is this in the below pic. They quoted some and left some that expose them.

For them to deny Charles Taze Russell as their founder tells you that Truth is very far from them. If you read the 1st page in this thread, I mentioned the reasons why they deny him. You can see from their responses, creating False prophecies is regarded as Wrong Expectations to them even though Jesus and God were completely against it. They see nothing wrong with it. So, Lying is their natural way of speaking. I am sure you have observed this trait since you have been conversing with them. The Cult is obsessed with Image. They can even deny Jesus and uplift the Cult just to have a Clean image. That's how bad it is. I am glad you already know about their history and their mode of control over the members. Their history they don't want people to know about is embarrassing to them. They are forbidden from reading their True history and their old publications are regarded as Apostate material which actually describes them as Apostates unfortunately.

JWs cannot handle people like you that ask questions. The Cult doesn't work that way. It works strictly by Blind Obedience without questioning. And people like you, if found in the Cult, will not last in it. The Cult isn't for Smart people with top notch Critical thinking skills. When you start questioning them, they believe if they bring an Elder or a more grounded person amongst them, you will be easily convinced. They are very delusional in their thinking that in spite of their many errors and Lies, they still believe everything they teach is True, even though, their doctrines will become lies after a few years.

Elders are not the ones who formulate doctrines and set False Prophecies. It is whoever that is alive that leads the Cult that formulates False prophecies. False Prophecies all started with their founder, Charles Taze Russell. After he died, the next President of the Cult continued that same legacy of False Prophecies. And it continues like that until they got embarrassed that they are loosing members and their source of money is drying up. So, they stopped after proclaiming that the end would come around the year 2000. Presently, what they say is We are living in the final part of the final part of the last days, just before the last day of the last days. You really need to be psychotic to take these people seriously.

And yes, the source of these False prophecies are from the other Spirit. They used to teach back in the day that they get their messages from Angels and that Jesus took away the Holy Spirit.
