People expect someone to date "up," but that's not always what makes someone happy or leads to a healthy marriage. She's with him because: -He's from her culture (Bajan). -He's handsome. -They're both from working class backgrounds, so he "gets" her. -He might be ratchet and make bad decisions, but he's also not a punk. -He seems to be generally physically fit. -He works in entertainment, so he understands her job and its demands. People outside entertainment tend to not get it and be less trusting, or can't handle their partner being gone so much, or don't want to do all that traveling, especially with kids. -He seems to have a similar personality to hers. -She has so much money that her financial peers are usually people she has nothing in common with, and any other person she chooses will always make less anyway, so she just went for who she really wants. |
cutecommend:I don't have any advice from the Bible to share. But I think the main reasons people do number 1 and 4 are that they believe (or tell themselves) the lie they've been sold about it, and they believe a lot of unhealthy ideas in general. If they knew/accepted the truth of that, instead of the fantasy, they would never be able to do it. If they analyzed how they view themselves, women, relationships, and other areas, they would realize that they don't have healthy views and don't want to live like that. Ojemedad:smh That's not what this is, bro. Chill. There are developed countries that collaborate like this all the time. Different states within one country collaborate like this. No matter what you're doing, there's always someone with better techniques/technology/systems/resources/knowledge. There's countries with bleeding edge tech that can't produce the same quality of certain things because they can't artificially imitate ideal natural conditions, or they don't have the same knowledge as the people who have been growing it for thousands of years. There are scientists from all over the world that meet every month in different conferences to learn from each other. These are people with natural talent, PHDs, industry experience, and who have been teaching and managing people for most of their life. And they still learn things from people way younger and less educated than them. |
I don't think people realize how dangerous these "sports" are. And it's so strange that people accept beating someone as a sport. I fully admit that I used to enjoy this stuff, but we have to let this go. It's just wrong. |
Drinkwater2026:There's a lot to say about this topic. lol There's so many different types of salads. But I think it's fair to say that if it's mainly lettuce, it's a salad salad (e.g. American cobb or caesar salad). If it's mainly any other vegetable/fruit, then it's a slaw (e.g. Thai mango/papaya "salad" or American carrot slaw). If it's mainly meat, then it's a sandwich salad (e.g. American tuna/chicken/seafood "salad" ). An exception would be something like a Vietnamese chicken salad, which is definitely a salad salad, but it has a bunch of chicken and cabbage. |
1. Racists are racist because they're pieces of shi.t and r3tarded. It has nothing to do with anything that black people do. 2. The majority of migrants in these countries are not African people. 3. Many migrants just see Italy/Spain/France as a stop on their way to somewhere better. 4. Many migrants don't believe that life isn't automatically easier in some countries no matter what anyone tells them. I think media, and friends/family abroad being less than honest, contributes to this problem. And it's not just poor people. 5. Italians are racist af. And yes, that will impact your ability to build a life there. Compare the situation in Spain/France/Italy to UK/US/CA. 6. Many Italians are poor af, and they struggle to keep young people in the country. That's why they're practically begging people to move there. |
Drinkwater2026:Coleslaw is a specific type of salad. |
babakb:I feel like my fist could calm them down. |
dettolgel:Those politicians are employees of oyinbos:

Judolisco:People really have to stop believing this. It's just not true. Nigeria's biggest problem comes from outside the country:

This is awesome! I can't believe people are actually being negative about this. |
I'm surprised, but not really. Arabs are animals. Libya should be banned from AFCON and the World Cup for like 10 years. |
Rwanda built their stadium with blood money from being US-backed terrorists in the Congo. |
Some black American men love big girls. Some caribbean men like big girls. Some central and south American men love big girls. Many melanesian and polynesian men like big girls. There's no need to analyze it. Just be happy for all the women that like cupcakes and don't like sweating. |
Here's more from that episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjCXcC8SmTg You get the sense that the MIL just wants him with someone else even though the girl isn't a bad person. She likely has someone specific (who's definitely Nigerian) in mind. |
1. Beauty is subjective. However, a lot of people are...not well. That's why they'll swear a bleach monster or white woman is sexy. 2. Some people lack confidence and sense, so they care a lot about the opinion of random strangers and dingbats. 3. Regardless, you should still want a healthy partner that takes care of themself. Obesity and not grooming isn't healthy, for them or your relationship. But if they're broke, it's different. They'll just have to do what they can. 4. Don't let delustional people change how you move. You're making the right decisions. Be patient. When you get your money up, you'll have more options for who you're around. |
That place is full of racist mulattos. There's nothing you want there. |
Instead of complaining, teach some kids how to make a kite and how to do kite tricks. |
Tellmeastory:They've been dealing with this for so long. Maybe they feel like this is the only way they can get relief. Maybe things have gotten worse in recent years. It could also be motivated by the Ukraine situation. |
Another thread reminded me of her because which white woman is looking like this...at 68 These are all pics from 2024:

I don't think black people realize how dµmb they look walking down the street with a oyinbo. lol Like, black men look like a drug addict about to do cr4ck in a gas station bathroom with their crusty white woman. Black women with a white dude look like hostages. They look like the white man has been keeping them in a basement their whole life and they have Stockholm syndrome. White people are just mad dusty. LOL https://i.pinimg.com/originals/21/83/39/2183390c33417d017eaed6a53d80fb64.gif But getting back to the topic. Those women are not sexy. Nope. Sorry. lol |
It sounds like the leadership has just given up because things are so bad there. The Uganda and Rwanda puppets (US-backed) wore them down. |

He then left the country, working for consultancy firm McKinsey and insurers Aviva and Prudential before his 2015 appointment as CEO of Credit Suisse, where he was ousted five years later. Despite Thursday's announcement regarding his citizenship, challenges to Thiam's political ambitions remain. A court in the commercial capital Abidjan on Thursday began hearing a case brought by a former PDCI official contesting his party leadership. Court documents seen by Reuters argued his election as party president was void because he held French nationality at the time. The case was adjourned until April. The notion of Ivorian identity was at the heart of the civil war, and some fear lingering questions over Thiam's nationality in the run-up to the vote risk pushing those tensions back to the surface. Thiam did not immediately respond to a request for comment. PDCI spokesperson Bredoumy Soumaila Kouassi, told Reuters the party's internal rules do not explicitly require Ivorian nationality for leadership positions, and Thiam had never lost his Ivorian citizenship. Ivorian political analyst Arthur Banga said Thiam may have to wait for the Constitutional Council to validate his candidacy in August before he will know if he will be allowed to run. Banga said Thiam's acquisition of French nationality may be interpreted as having automatically voided his Ivorian citizenship. Thiam also faces a challenge within the party after former trade minister Jean-Louis Billon announced in October that he would also seek the party's nomination. https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/ex-banker-thiam-drops-french-nationality-bid-ivory-coast-presidency-2025-03-20/ |
Former Credit Suisse chief executive Tidjane Thiam has been relieved of his French citizenship, according to the French government gazette, potentially clearing the way for his bid for the presidency of world-leading cocoa producer Ivory Coast. Elected leader of the opposition PDCI party in 2023, Thiam is expected to be a leading contender in the October election, though 83-year-old incumbent Alassane Ouattara has yet to say whether he will run again. Ivory Coast has emerged from over a decade of civil war in the early 2000s to reclaim its spot as a West African powerhouse with one of the continent's fastest growing economies. Thiam announced his presidential bid last month. Ivory Coast law, however, states that candidates must be Ivorian citizens and cannot hold another nationality. A decision published in France's official journal on Thursday stated that Thiam had "been released from his allegiance to France," following his request to surrender his French passport. Thiam, 62, served as a minister in Ivory Coast until the ouster of former President Henri Konan Bedie in a 1999 military coup. article continues in next post |
A 22-year-old mother, Esther Kendell, stated, “It’s already a big help so far… I’m very much grateful, because it’s a great start for our baby’s life, there is a lot that we can do with it. I just hope that parents don’t use it to spend on stuff and they actually do something that’s very important for their child. So actually, I am not spending mine. I plan to open an early savings for my baby and continue to invest from there going forward.” Another young mother Hema Singh said “It will help a lot, because sometimes your baby sick when you go public. You gotta wait. And sometimes the money, you could use it and go private, because most of the time, babies can fall sick. So I’m thankful for the monies, it would help a lot.” And Renatta Fernandes, a 23-year-old-mother also shared that she will also be opening an early savers account for her child. “I am very much grateful for it. Since it’s hers, we will put it up for her until she’s old enough and responsible to have it.” https://www.stabroeknews.com/2025/03/09/news/guyana/govt-launches-100000-cash-grant-for-newborns/ |
The programme, unveiled in the 2025 National Budget, is expected to benefit approximately 17,000 newborns annually. The government has allocated $1.3 billion to fund the initiative, with the first batch of 2,052 births recorded between January and February 2025. Speaking at the launching of the event at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre yesterday which was attended by mothers from across all regions, President Ali described the grant as an investment in the country’s future rather than a financial burden. “This cash grant is more than financial support. It is a seed planted in the soil of our nation’s future… When we invest in our children today, we invest in the future of tomorrow”, he stated. The President further stated that the government has put systems in place to ensure new mothers receive the grant within a week of childbirth, with efforts focussed on providing the funds before hospital discharge. “More than 99 per cent of births occur in hospitals. The regional health offices, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Finance will ensure all mothers receive this support within the first week of birth”, he said. In addition to the cash grant, First Lady Arya Ali has spearheaded an initiative to provide 600 mothers with diapers and baby wipes. The government is also working with the General Register Office to expedite the issuing of birth certificates as part of efforts to improve access to essential services. The initiative is part of the government’s broader social welfare policies aimed at supporting families and strengthening Guyana’s human capital development. Stabroek News spoke to some mothers and asked them how they felt about receiving the grant. article continues in next post |
