Imagine if all the African players started using their massive salaries to invest in an African super league. It's like if every black player in the NBA left to join a black-only league. WHO would be watching the NBA, Premier League or Euro cups? It's very telling how hockey is clawing at relevance by trying to show black players and get more black people to play that dumb "sport." |
Instead of telling people what they're not doing, mentor them. |

This isn't the normal behavior of a teen girl. This girl has likely been abused, and is possibly being trafficked. |
Ignore this babbling alcoholic inbred. His kids probably aren't even his, and he's probably mad because his boyfriend doesn't want to go public. |
Russians and Ukrainians are some of the most sick racists on earth. Black volunteers that were helping Ukrainians fleeing the war were warned by NGOs that they would face racism from these people. Ukraine and Russia, in case you forgot, were doing all kinds of things to stop black foreign students from getting out of the country when the war started. |
I don't support any of that Islam nonsense, but stopping women who are clearly being trafficked from promoting that is definitely good. But banning certain haircuts/colors or wearing your pants a certain way is pure nonsense. |
Not surprising. Indians are lowlives. |

“Because blood flow through the artery is strong and robust, most chemicals would be quickly washed away as the heart pumps,” Cao said. “Surprisingly, not CX3CL1. It stays glued to the surface of the inner lining of blood vessels. There, it acts like a bait, catching immune cells as they pass by.” Cao said many of these trapped immune cells are known to fuel blood vessel inflammation. When the researchers removed CX3CL1 receptors from one of the immune cells in aspartame-fed mice, the plaque accumulation didn’t occur. The findings were published Wednesday in the journal Cell Metabolism. Cao’s team plans to verify these results in humans and further target CX3CL1 since blood vessel inflammation can lead to stroke, arthritis and diabetes. “Artificial sweeteners have penetrated almost all kinds of food, so we have to know the long-term health impact,” Cao said. Stephanie Schiff, a registered dietitian nutritionist at Northwell Huntington Hospital, recommends cutting artificial sweeteners and sugar from your diet. If you are diabetic and find you have trouble avoiding sugary beverages, consider the sweeteners allulose, monk fruit and stevia without erythritol, a commonly used artificial sweetener that has been linked to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Otherwise, try sweetening your food with fruit — or get used to consuming foods and drinks that are less sweet. “I’ve never seen a single study that concluded that increasing sugar or artificial sweetener intake was healthy,” Schiff told The Post. “It’s worth making changes in your diet to stay healthy.” https://nypost.com/2025/02/19/health/popular-artificial-sweetener-can-raise-risk-of-heart-attack-stroke/ |
A new study out of Sweden reports that one of the most popular sugar substitutes — found in diet drinks, chewing gum and low-sugar yogurt — raises insulin levels in animals, potentially increasing their risk of heart attacks and stroke over time. “One of my students was sipping on this sugar-free drink, and I said, ‘Why don’t you look into that?’” recalled senior study author Yihai Cao, who studies chronic diseases related to blood vessel disorders at the Karolinska Institute. Some research has suggested that long-term use of artificial sweeteners may heighten the risk of stroke, heart disease and even premature death. Cao’s team wanted to explore exactly how the sugar substitute aspartame might cause harm. Aspartame, which is about 200 times sweeter than sugar, is sold under the brand names Nutrasweet, Equal and Sugar Twin. In 2023, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer classified aspartame as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” For the new study, mice were fed food containing 0.15% aspartame every day for 12 weeks — that’s the equivalent of humans drinking about three daily cans of diet soda. Aspartame-fed mice developed larger and more fatty plaques in their arteries and experienced higher levels of inflammation, a major contributor to heart disease. Cao’s team blamed elevated insulin levels for the arterial plaque buildup, also known as atherosclerosis. The researchers determined that the immune signal CX3CL1 is especially active under insulin stimulation. article continues in next post |
Crossings at the southern border have virtually slowed to a halt since Trump took office. So far in February, about 359 illegal migrants per day have been caught across the entire southern border — down more than 90% from the same month last year, according to leaked Customs and Border Protection data. Trump threatened earlier this month to impose a 25% tariff on Canadian exports to the US, saying it was not doing enough to police its side of the border. The US agreed to stall the tariffs for 30 days, after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to push ahead with a $1.3 billion border security plan that includes 10,000 border patrol agents and 24/7 surveillance with the use of drones and helicopters. But the TikTok coyotes throw a monkey wrench into the negotiations. “In the absence of Canadian border security, it is difficult to imagine the trade and other relations between the two neighbors will continue as normal,” said Purewal. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) called for a federal probe after being told of the hustle by The Post. “The Department of Justice should investigate how these apps are being utilized for nefarious activity and get cooperation from the companies that operate them,” said Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY). Canada’s Minister of Public Safety David McGuinty insisted illegal migrants would be nabbed. “Crossing between ports of entry is illegal and very dangerous,” said spokeswoman Mary-Liz Power. Added Border Patrol spokesman Steven Bansbach: “All US border patrol resources will be used to prevent the illegal entry of people and contraband into the United States.” An official from TikTok meanwhile said the platform’s community guidelines strictly prohibit human smuggling, and that it continues to remove accounts that violate its policies. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the White House did not comment. https://nypost.com/2025/02/15/us-news/smugglers-advertising-illegal-canada-us-border-crossings-on-tiktok/ |
The trips leave from either Montreal; Brampton, outside Toronto; and Surrey, outside Vancouver. They deliver migrants to upstate New York or Washington state, according to the TikTok accounts the Post has reviewed. To New York, the journey includes a two-hour car ride, and a 25-minute trek through the forest through an unguarded stretch of land, where the migrants are given a map to guide them across the border outside official checkpoints in Champlain and Mooers, NY. Up to five migrants are taken at a time for a “group walk,” the coyote told The Post. And like legitimate business, the accounts often feature testimonials, in Punjabi, from “satisfied customers,” bragging about how “easy” and even “comfortable” the journey was. “The service was outstanding, we have come through very easily,” gushed one. For smugglers, the Canada-US border has long been viewed as an easy hustle. Last year, The Post spoke to residents living alongside the border who testified to how often they see illegal crossings. It’s the longest land border in the world, and unlike the US-Mexico border, it’s largely unguarded outside of official crossing points, since much of it is wilderness. “They call it a border, but you can cross anytime you want,” said Shinder Purewal , a political scientist at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia. “It’s really an undefended border. Nobody is on basically either side.” For smugglers, Indian nationals make up a niche market, but a thriving one. In 2024, Indians made up almost a quarter of those apprehended crossing the United States’ northern border illegally — by far the largest group, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. Each day, more than 100 Indian nationals, on average, are caught by agents at the Canada-US border. The number has tripled in the last two years, according to the data. Most often, they enter Canada on student visas. Last year, the country’s department of immigration estimated 50,000 students were let in but never showed up to school. Twenty thousand of them were from India. article continues in next post

Smugglers are brazenly using TikTok to advertise their human-trafficking services across the Canada-US border — undercutting the Great White North’s position as it tries to hammer out a critical deal with the US on tariffs and security, The Post has learned. For close to a year, the Canadian “coyotes” — who largely target Indian nationals — promise a hassle-free trip to the States for as much as $5,000, with new border-crossing accounts popping up every time others are removed from the platform. The posts often feature a US flag waving over a wooded northern border, set to Indian music, urging wannabe border crossers to DM them for more details. “Payment after reach,” reads one post, while another assures “100% safe.” The competition can be cutthroat — “$4,000 cheapest in market,” one post reads. Northern crossings have fallen from an average of around 4,500 Indian nationals nabbed each month before President Trump took office, to 2,900 since, according to US Customs and Border Protection data — but the Post has identified at least half a dozen of these coyote accounts still operating on TikTok. The Post contacted one smuggler, who said it would cost $4,500 for one person to get to cross into the Empire State from Montreal. “When you ready to go, send me your ID,” he said. article continues in next post

“These results demonstrate a new mechanism of action — combined blockade with sotagliflozin of the SGLT1 receptors (found in the kidney, gut, heart, and brain) and SGLT2 receptors (found in the kidney) — to reduce heart attack and stroke risk,” Dr. Deepak L. Bhatt, study chair, director of Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital, and professor at the Icahn School of Medicine, said in a statement. “The benefits seen here are distinct from those seen with the other very popular SGLT2 inhibitors in widespread clinical use for diabetes, heart failure, and kidney disease,” he added. Diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and heart disease are all intricately linked, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 38.4 million Americans suffer from diabetes, a condition in which the body either doesn’t produce enough insulin or can’t use it effectively, leading to elevated blood sugar levels. Over time, those high blood sugar levels can damage the kidneys, impairing their ability to filter blood, which leads to chronic kidney disease. In fact, approximately one in three U.S. adults with diabetes also suffers from the chronic illness. As the kidneys struggle to function, they place additional strain on the heart, forcing it to work harder to pump blood. This increased workload can lead to heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in the US. The combination of diabetes and kidney disease also raises the risk of stroke, as both conditions can damage blood vessels. The sotagliflozin study presents a promising treatment option that could simultaneously address all of these interconnected health issues. “Physicians now have a new option to reduce global cardiovascular risk such as heart failure, progression of kidney disease, heart attack, and stroke in patients with either heart failure or type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and other cardiovascular risk factors,” said Dr. Bhatt. https://nypost.com/2025/02/15/health/first-of-its-kind-drug-can-reduce-heart-attacks-and-strokes/ |
A groundbreaking new study suggests that sotagliflozin, a drug recently approved to treat type 2 diabetes and kidney disease in people with additional cardiovascular risk factors, can also significantly reduce the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes. Experts say sotagliflozin, known commercially as Inpefa, is the first medication of its kind to deliver these unique cardiovascular benefits, potentially paving the way for broader use of the drug. Sotagliflozin is a sodium-glucose cotransporter (SGLT) inhibitor that blocks two proteins, SGLT1 and SGLT2, which are responsible for moving glucose and sodium across cell membranes and helping control blood sugar levels. “Sotagliflozin is the first SGLT inhibitor to provide a significant reduction in both myocardial infarction and stroke,” the researchers noted in the study, published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology. “The stroke benefit observed in the present study appears to be unique to sotagliflozin, as it has not been observed in trials of selective SGLT2 inhibitors.” In the trial, researchers enrolled 10,584 patients with chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, and additional cardiovascular risk factors. The participants were randomly assigned to either receive sotagliflozin or a placebo and were followed for an average of 16 months. Those in the sotagliflozin group experienced a 23% reduction in heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular-related deaths compared to the placebo group. article continues in next post |
