The environmental impact of China's large mining interests in mineral-rich parts of Africa, which include Zambia's neighbors Congo and Zimbabwe, has often been criticised, even as the minerals are crucial to the countries' economies. Chinese-owned copper mines have been accused of ignoring safety, labour and other regulations in Zambia as they strive to control its supply of the critical mineral, leading to some discontent with their presence. Zambia is also burdened with more than $4 billion in debt to China and had to restructure some of its loans from China and other nations after defaulting on repayments in 2020. A smaller acid waste leak from another Chinese-owned mine in Zambia's copper belt was discovered days after the Sino-Metals accident, and authorities have accused the smaller mine of attempting to hide it. Local police said a mine worker died at that second mine after falling into acid and alleged that the mine continued to operate after being instructed to stop its operations by authorities. Two Chinese mine managers have been arrested, police said. Both mines have now halted their operations after orders from Zambian authorities, while many Zambians are angry. “It really just brings out the negligence that some investors actually have when it comes to environmental protection,” said Mweene Himwinga, an environmental engineer who attended the meeting involving Mr Zhang, government ministers, and others. “They don’t seem to have any concern at all, any regard at all. And I think it’s really worrying because at the end of the day, we as Zambian people, (it's) the only land we have.” https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/zambia-kafue-river-acidic-waste-spill-china-b2715672.html |
The Zambian government has deployed the air force to drop hundreds of tons of lime into the river in an attempt to counteract the acid and roll back the damage. Speed boats have also been used to ride up and down the river, applying lime. Government spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said the situation was very serious and Sino-Metals Leach Zambia would bear the costs of the cleanup operation. Zhang Peiwen, the chairman of Sino-Metals Leach Zambia, met with government ministers this week and apologized for the acid spill, according to a transcript of his speech at the meeting released by his company. “This disaster has rung a big alarm for Sino-Metals Leach and the mining industry,” he said. It “will go all out to restore the affected environment as quickly as possible”, he said. article continues in next post |
An Associated Press reporter visited parts of the Kafue River, where dead fish could be seen washing up on the banks about 60 miles downstream from the mine run by Sino-Metals Leach Zambia, which is majority owned by the state-run China Nonferrous Metals Industry Group. The Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation said the "devastating consequences" also included the destruction of crops along the river's banks. Authorities are concerned that ground water will be contaminated as the mining waste seeps into the earth or is carried to other areas. “Prior to February 18 this was a vibrant and alive river,” said Sean Cornelius, who lives near the Kafue and said fish died and birdlife near him disappeared almost immediately. “Now everything is dead, it's like a totally dead river. Unbelievable. Overnight, this river died.” About 60 per cent of Zambia's 20 million people live in the Kafue River basin and depend on it in some way as a source of fishing, irrigation for agriculture and water for industry. The river supplies drinking water to about five million people, including in the capital, Lusaka. The acid leak at the mine caused a complete shutdown of the water supply to the nearby city of Kitwe, home to an estimated 700,000 people. article continues in next post |
A catastrophic acid spill from a Chinese-owned copper mine in Zambia has contaminated a major river, sparking fears of long-term environmental damage and potential harm to millions of people. The spill, which occurred on February 18, has sent shockwaves through the southern African nation. Investigators from the Engineering Institution of Zambia revealed that the incident stemmed from the collapse of a tailings dam at the mine. This dam, designed to contain acidic waste, released an estimated 50 million litres of toxic material into a stream feeding the Kafue River, Zambia's most important waterway. The waste is a dangerous cocktail of concentrated acid, dissolved solids, and heavy metals. The Kafue River, stretching over 930 miles (1,500 kilometres) through the heart of Zambia, supports a vast ecosystem and provides water for millions. The contamination has already been detected at least 60 miles downstream from the spill site, raising serious concerns about the long-term impact on both human populations and wildlife. Environmental activist Chilekwa Mumba, working in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, described the incident as "an environmental disaster really of catastrophic consequences". The spill underscores the risks associated with mining, particularly in a region where China holds significant influence over the copper industry. Zambia ranks among the world's top 10 copper producers, a metal crucial for manufacturing smartphones and other technologies. Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has appealed for expert assistance to address the crisis. The full extent of the environmental damage is still being assessed. article continues in next post |
Evolutionary psychology. ETA: It's also a way to show how "masculine" they are. |
1. Canada makes it easy for Chinese criminals to launder money. Most of those rich "businessmen" in Canada (and California) are criminals. Most of those "real estate investors" are criminals. 2. Chinese criminals are really messed up and have big networks, so some of these people may be doing it because their family is being threatened and they can't get their family out of the country. 3. Drug trafficking thrives almost 100% because of demand from oyinbos. |
https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/news/2025/03/fake-captcha-websites-hijack-your-clipboard-to-install-information-stealers There are more and more sites that use a clipboard hijacker and instruct victims on how to infect their own machine. I realize that may sound like something trivial to steer clear from, but apparently it’s not because the social engineering behind it is pretty sophisticated. At first, these attacks were more targeted at people that could provide cybercriminals a foothold at a targeted company, but their popularity has grown so much that now anyone can run into one of them. It usually starts on a website that promises visitors some kind of popular content: Movies, music, pictures, news articles, you name it. Nobody will think twice when they are asked to prove they are not a robot. But the next step in this method isn’t what you would normally see. Trouble in paradise? Is he surprised the people he did dirty work for turned on him? |
Okay, now do this to the crooked politicians. https://static.stereogum.com/uploads/2013/03/idris_bye.gif |
It's messed up that people want to clown this man when basically he doesn't want a string of broken families. His first marriage ended in divorce, and he didn't want that to happen again, so he treated his marriage with Jada like he was building Sagrada Familia. |
"Simping" isn't bad. If it's not this kind of relationship, do you even want it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSUSFow70no |

Adexgentle005:Exactly. It has nothing to do with poverty. It's because of abuse. There are so many videos on Xvideos and the rest of porn sites, you can’t attribute all to child abuse though. You're saying this because you feel guilty and it makes it easier for you to consume pornography. A significant percentage of people are abuse survivors. And stats are worse in countries where less protections (legal and cultural) exist. We don't even know the full extent of it because many survivors don't disclose, especially males. And the sheer number of videos means nothing, especially when human trafficking is a major global problem. Do you realize that many people in the videos don't consent? Do you know how many minors are in those videos? |
I'm sorry, but there's nothing sexy about white women. And frankly, it's gross for a black person to have sex with them. Like, you seriously want to put your mouth...on that? |
Adexgentle005:That's another thing about pornography. People assume that these people are all aware that they're being filmed. But some guys will bring women back and have hidden cameras. Some put cameras in hotel rooms, locker rooms, bathrooms, etc. It's another way that pornography is harmful. But child abuse is the main reason why people treat their body as a commodity. Consumers don't want to accept it, but that's reality. Furthermore, these people are worsening their mental health issues by doing that. Damage doesn't start and end in childhood. Iceberg Slim referred to this as "mileage," which means how many tricks a ho0ker can turn before she goes crazy. That's why many of these people are drug addicts. They use hard drugs as medication. It reveals the extent of the problem because many only find relief with hard drugs. They have treatment-resistant PTSD. Many of the women in these films are actually high on substances to even be able to make them. It doesn't end there because when someone has been abused, something happens psychologically where people who prey on others can sense that they've been. Predators target abuse survivors because survivors are seen as more compliant. The world of people treating their body as a commodity is of course dangerous and violent, and full of predators, like a prison. So the women you watch may have been harmed multiple times. |
Representative Brandon Gill, a Republican from Texas, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday: "This is great legislation that I am proud to co-sponsor." Representative Judy Chu, a Democrat from California and the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress, told Newsweek: "We can safeguard our national security, protect U.S. workers and businesses from unfair trade practices, and stand up for human rights without creating a new iron curtain with China. Unilaterally cutting off pathways of study for Chinese students—many of whom come to study here specifically because they are receptive to our democratic values, educational institutions, and economic openness—will make our country less innovative and the world less safe." John C. Yang, the president and executive director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice, said in a statement to Newsweek: "We strongly reject this move to paint all Chinese students as a threat and caution against racial profiling based on geography and not fact. While national security is of utmost importance to Americans, resorting to racism and xenophobia is never the answer. The overwhelming majority of students and scholars simply come here to learn." Yang added: "Past discriminatory policies have destroyed lives and affected our ability to attract and retain talent, which can affect our country's competitiveness as global leaders in technology and innovation. If enacted, the Stop CCP VISAs Act would have even greater effects as a result of unilaterally blocking all Chinese students from coming to the U.S. and contributing to our economy simply because of their nationality. In fact, student visa applications are declining as Chinese students look to countries like Australia and Canada to study because of racial profiling here. In the long run, isolationism does not work and makes America weaker, not stronger." https://i.pinimg.com/originals/7f/fd/a3/7ffda3ffa1c55d7fbf108db768b59f92.gif |
Moore has cited an incident in which five Chinese nationals were charged with covering up a visit to a remote military site in Michigan while drills were taking place. The five individuals were students at the University of Michigan at the time and enrolled in a joint program between the university and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The University of Michigan recently announced that it was ending its partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. "Their story is just one example of an alarming and growing trend of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) using our academic institutions as platforms for espionage," Moore wrote in an op-ed for Newsweek in February. He added that a more thorough vetting process would not be enough, as "the United States cannot accurately flag the espionage-related risk factors of student visa applicants because many who enter the United States with pure intentions are later recruited or coerced by the CCP to engage in espionage." Representative Riley Moore, a Republican from West Virginia, said in a statement to Newsweek: "Every year, we allow nearly 300,000 Chinese nationals to come to the U.S. on student visas. We've literally invited the CCP to spy on our military, steal our intellectual property, and threaten national security." He added: "Congress needs to end China's exploitation of our student visa program. It's time we turn off the spigot and immediately ban all student visas going to Chinese nationals." article continues in next post |
https://www.newsweek.com/chinese-nationals-barred-student-visas-new-proposal-2044121 AHouse Republican is set to introduce a bill that would bar Chinese nationals from obtaining visas to study in the United States. First-term Representative Riley Moore of West Virginia will introduce the bill, known as the Stop Chinese Communist Prying by Vindicating Intellectual Safeguards in Academia Act, or the Stop CCP VISAs Act, later this week, a spokesperson for Moore told Newsweek. Amid increased U.S.-China tensions, some Republicans have accused the Chinese Communist Party of exploiting the student visa program and using universities and academic institutions to engage in espionage, and several universities have ended partnerships with Chinese universities over national security concerns. However, proposals to bar all Chinese nationals from studying in the U.S. face opposition from advocacy groups that say such policies are rooted in racism and xenophobia. A ban would also mean fewer international students contributing to the U.S. economy and would affect universities that depend on tuition fees paid by Chinese students. The text of the bill, first reported by Fox News, says it would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to "prohibit the admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students, and for other purposes." It adds that an "alien who is a national of the People's Republic of China may not be issued a visa or otherwise provided status as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15)(F), (J), or (M), for the purpose of conducting research or pursuing a course of study.'' Representative Brandon Gill of Texas, another first-term Republican, has said he will co-sponsor the bill. Others expected to co-sponsor the bill include Republican Representatives Andy Ogles of Tennessee and Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Fox News reported. article continues in next post |
Most of those people are survivors of child abuse. And that's both the men and the women who do it. They don't have a healthy relationship with their bodies or sexuality. That's why they can treat their body parts as a commodity, and sex as just a physical activity. Some of them describe how when they do pornographic films or images, or when they engage in stripping, they're detached from it. They describe themselves as robots. This is a learned survival behavior that they had to use when they were being abused. While it's important to ask why these terrible things happen, society should also ask why men think it's normal to use women's bodies in this way. It's not healthy for the man or woman. It's not healthy for communities. Our bodies and sexuality are a beautiful thing that we should value and respect, not something to be bought and sold. Sexuality should come from a place of love, passion, and connection. There's also the issue of sex trafficking. You shouldn't assume that the people in those images are willing. https://www.nairaland.com/8167499/porn-myth |
1. Those two openings evolved from a single one. They're both essentially holes that expel things. 2. The digestive process is better supported by putting more distance between where food enters and exits. 3. Health is better supported by there being distance between where food enters and exits. 4. That location also protects the reproductive process from physical and environmental damage. |
I don't know how true this is, but apparently women's bodies essentially match the average male biology of her race. So basically, the average black woman is built for something bigger. That said, women who want a very big personality every day are a minority of women. The average woman would find it physically difficult. However, women who are just having fun with a random guy may be more drawn to a big personality for a one-off or random intimacy. For example, the Balthazar guy. Those were women having random sessions with this guy, and this was obviously because of his status and his personality. Just look at their facial expression. LOL But really, you should be less concerned about your size, and more about what it takes to please a woman because size alone won't do it. |

US Department of State: 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report: United Arab Emirates https://www.state.gov/reports/2024-trafficking-in-persons-report/united-arab-emirates/ As reported over the past five years, human traffickers exploit foreign victims in the UAE. Foreigners comprise nearly 90 percent of the UAE’s population. Lower wage labor, including most manual labor and a significant portion of the service sector, is provided almost entirely by migrant workers predominantly from South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East, with a growing percentage from sub-Saharan Africa. Employers exploit some of these workers through conditions indicative of labor trafficking, such as passport retention, non-payment of wages and unpaid overtime, restrictions on movement, contract switching, fraudulent employment promises, substandard food and housing provisions, debt bondage or a failure to meet other contractual agreements. Adults from some of these countries travel willingly to the UAE to work as domestic workers, security guards, drivers, gardeners, massage therapists, beauticians, hotel cleaners, or elsewhere in the service sector, but traffickers subject some of them to labor and sex trafficking after arrival. In 2023, a rights group reported recruitment agencies and employers exploited migrant workers employed to support the UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the Government of the UAE in Dubai, in conditions of labor trafficking, including being charged recruitment fees, nonpayment or delayed payment of wages, passport confiscation, restriction of movement, debt bondage and other abuses, including racial discrimination. Observers continue to report the UAE serves as a trafficking hub where recruiters sell migrants to families who afterwards illegally transport them to other countries in the Gulf. |

In December, Liu was also sentenced to 41 months in prison. Dong’s lawyer, John McNicholas, asked that she be allowed to serve her term after Liu completes his sentence because of their three children. The youngest is 13. Federal prosecutor Kevin Fu agreed to the delay but Klausner refused and had her taken into custody immediately. Dong removed a necklace and gave it to a family member before she was led away. The USA Happy Baby case was part of a broader probe into businesses that helped Chinese women travel to give birth in California. The operator of another business is believed to have fled to China, McNicholas wrote in court filings, while another was sentenced in 2019 to 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy and visa fraud for running the company known as “You Win USA.” McNicholas said he feels Dong was given a much longer sentence because the government and Klausner blame her for the babies that were born US citizens. That, he said, is unrelated to the allegations that she and Liu helped women travel to the United States to give birth. “Our position was these children are born in America. They’re citizens,” McNicholas said, adding that Dong will appeal. “Implicitly, he’s saying being born here is not enough.” https://www.cnn.com/2025/01/27/us/woman-sentenced-chinese-birth-tourism-intl-hnk/index.html |
Under the 14th Amendment, any child born in the United States is an American citizen. Many have seen these trips as a way to help their children secure a US college education and a better future – especially since the tourists themselves can apply for permanent residency once the children turn 21. During her sentencing hearing, Dong wiped away tears as she recalled growing up without siblings due to China’s strict “one-child ” policy and told the court that the Chinese government forced her mother to have an abortion. Moving to the US was challenging, she said, but Dong grew hopeful after having children of her own and saw she could help Chinese women who want to have additional children in California. “I don’t want to lose my kids,” she told the court. “I hope you can give me fair judgment. I will take all my responsibility.” Federal prosecutors sought a more than five-year sentence for Dong and argued that she and Liu helped more than 100 pregnant Chinese women travel to the US. They said the pair worked with others to coach women on how to trick customs officials by flying into airports believed to be more lax while wearing loose-fitting clothing to hide their pregnancies. “For tens of thousands of dollars each, defendant helped her numerous customers deceive US authorities and buy US citizenship for their children,” prosecutors said in court filings. They declined to comment after the sentencing. article continues in next post |
