Lexusgs430: Because you have been denied a visiting visa, it would be deemed a measure, to circumvent the immigration process, if you now applied for settlement visa. The Bae also, not sure about your true intentions. Might be apprehensive marrying someone she has not seen physically. NB: Those oyinbo or westerners, also hear all this rumours and real life experiences, of simply trying to use them has a passage of entry!!! There is no such thing as circumventing when u are legally married. Good Luck |

schweinsteiger: I created this account for personal reason, i have been member since 09….
Please i need ur urgent answer, my friend is preparing a sponsored visit for me to US, on his letter he pledge to take responsibility of me and that he will be held accountable for any of my action in the state, the thing here is, he’s married to a white woman, so he’s automatically a citizen… well we’ve paid agent to arrange the necessary documents, we submitted here including international passport, he said his wife have submitted all required documents in U.S, including a surety from his wife friend, because they said his wife must bring a third party to attest that the woman knows what she’s doing… To cut long story short, he said everything is okay now(Between the whole process took almost 3 months) that he’ll be expecting flight itineraries sooner or later from wifey(Also he said after getting everything set, he’ll be traveling to pick me up, we won’t be going same time)… Also, that they called him to come and sign some relevant stuffs as a sponsor in Nigeria US Embassy to pick the documents as well on my absence as none appearance, note, he said his wife sent his number to one man (Yoruba Man )in Nigeria Embassy Abuja that called him up… So the Ultimate Question here is, is it possible for anyone to collect traveling document with stamped international passport from Nigeria US embassy without the actual person presence i brought this up here because i kept wondering the authenticity of this package since he insist i won’t follow him to Abuja Embassy… Please i need a serious contribution from experience person, is it possible? @justwise You said a friend is to sponsor you, I guess on tourist visa category. My question to you is that you have read a lot of thread on visa application, is the process your friend is taking, the process you ' ve read so far?. You, youself is not convinced of the process, why opening up this thread? There are standards well set and threads opened for people to read and follow. Follow those threads please. A lot you wrote shows you done follow threads. 1. How can you be a citizen because you married an American? 2. How can your friends wife need a third party on an invitation letter? 3. How can you get an american visa without appearance? I will rest on this three because I do not want to write long and wast this thread. Please follow threads Good Luck |

epistlegcfr: Hi,
I need your advice because I have a situation right now. I am an international graduate student currently studying in Canada. I went for a written driver’s examination. After the exam, I meet two guys that wrote the exam with me and we got talking. I informed them of my intentions to get my driver’s license sent to me from my country. Luckily they said they are actually planning the same. Since we are student of the same school and we are from the same country, one is even from my department in the school we agreed to save cost by getting their own license sent to my brother and then my brother added mine. Making three licenses in a package all with different names and information. It was indicated on the waybill that the package contains 3 licenses no form of concealment or any foul play So my brother sent it to me and we all contributed the money meant for the courier. But surprisingly, it was held. Instead of the license to be delivered by the courier, I got a notice of seizure mail from CIC with the description of the item seized being individual names, and date of birth on the licenses. And a message to the client which states that: If you want, your documents will be returned send your request by fax to the fax number of the officer below.
(1)It was stated beneath the filled form that item seized from international mail and courier service will be disposed off in accordance with the immigration and refugee protection regulations. Should you wish to discuss this matter you may contact the fax within 30days of seizure
(2)The information provided on this form is collected under the Authority of the immigration and refugee protection Act. It is protected by the privacy act and is accessible to you and will be stored in personal information bank number CIC Bleep 180.
(3) The notification states that it was held under immigration and protection act section 140: An officer may seize and hold any means of transportation, document or other thing if the officer believes on a reasonable ground that it was fraudulently or improperly obtained or used or that the seizure is necessary to prevent its fraudulent or improper use or to carry out the purposes of this Act.
Now, the other two guys involved are saying it is not a big deal that we should forget it as they are not ready to engage in any tussle with the immigration. They claimed theirs was issued straight from FRSC office but despite that we tried tracking and its saying invalid information even mine despite doing the data capture before leaving Nigeria.
On my own part, being the receiver, I fear having a bad record because I will be applying for SOWP for my wife to be very soon. I don’t want my applications rejected on bad record grounds. Yet I need the two guys to agree with me because if Cic wants to confirm from them and they deny out of fear, I will be in a big mess. Does number 2 have a bad effect on my record? If I refuse to make request for the seized document, will there be a bad record or can this affect my future applications? Please advise as I am having sleepless night already.
@fhemmy @justwise @onyeoma8 @siga @akanni @chrigo please advise i can't sleep Canada do not accept drivers license from Nigeria. There are few countries in the world that are flaged by canadian government concerning certain documents such as drivers license which unfortunately nigeria is one of those countries. I will advise send them your response via the fax information given, explaining the situation. There is no wrong doing if you got your license legitimately. The only thing is that you may or may not get it back. U.S allow nigerian drivers license but canada and new zealand has problems with that. They will investigate the documents if there are foul play they will keep it and use it if need be. Most likely it will be destroyed after some time. You definitely need to respond on the issue not minding what your friends think about it Good Luck |

What if her F2 get rejected, would she still be able to come to US on her visitor visa or does her visitor visa gets rejected too? Kindly advise
Also, if i get denied F1 visa, what happens to my valid B1/B2 visa.? A change of status from b1/b2 to f1 visa while in u.s is nearly impossible. There are had core criteria to meet. It is easier getting it in nigeria hence you have admission and has met up with the requirements. All they will do is to conceal your b1/b2 without prejudice and issue the f1 visa and them while you are there you can apply for f2 for your wife. Good Luck |

If so the burden rest on you to prove you are a genuine tourist regardless of your relationship with her. However, she can file for financee visa k1 category for you. Don't skip to write your own. I mentioned virgin on my airline list. And from your statement, your final destination was london from Australia which is of good understanding. Them you bought fresh ticket to nigeria using virgin, fine too. The issue here is you stated that virgin boarded you with your Aussie passport to nigeria without a visa. That is the missing link here. It is not done. You have to show them your nigeria passport for them to board you if no visa issued to the Australian passport. Please going back and forth is exposing your self the more Good Luck. |

Franzeez: That is your own you are talking, I have shared my experience, I am not here for trash, if it is not adding up, go and sleep. Mind you, with an Aus Passport, u virtually need no visa to almost 95% of the world. That is my experience, I am not asking you to believe, but u am asking you not to quote me again My friend, if you took off from Australia and lay over in u.k them you used BA. If you leave in u.k with Aussie passport, and flew straight to Nigeria, them you used BA, British Virgin or Arik that is if Arik operates in U.K. And if you transits wherever with the country's airline, which doesn't really matter, you still need a visa to nigeria with Aussie passport. No airline, I repeat no airline will ever, ever carry you to a country of final destination without a visa or the passport holder is visa free to the destination. No need calling names here, am way too old to call names with you. I hold a dual citizenship status, and have sojourn most of my adult life in the west. Please do not write things or comments just to add up. This forum is created for people who needs help or have concerns and also people to share their experiences wherever they traveled to which by the way is educational. And it is not true that Aussie passport is 95% visa free in the world. There are almost 200 countries in the world, u.k, u.s, Germany and iceland is visa free 176. Them you have the Scandinavian countries before Aussie passport, canadain and the rest of EU. You also have Japan and South korea. When you make statements, come from the fact points not to make up. If I tell you how old I am or have leaved in west, you wouldn't have to call names. Good Luck |

I begged and begged, brought out my laptop and showed them scanned copies of my Nigerian passport, omo dem no gree ooo, until I showed them money... My friend this your story is not adding up or you just want to state that you have Aussie passport? How can BA board you from U.K without nigerian visa on a foreign passport. lolitta: i attended college in CA.On fall semester,i fell down the stairs. My left-wrist was sprained so i had to wear bandage. Two weeks later, i started getting a lot of pain on my upper left shoulder. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me painkiller. It made me sleepy and tired all time. I started missing classes.I couldn't concentrate. On Nov 2013, i got out of status. I was sad becoz I m a good student.I ended up having a nervous breakdown. I ended up at the hospital for a week. When I got out. I spent 9 months staying at my house feeling sick and in pain .I stopped taking my painkiller because it didn't cure my pain.I had to go back to my country because I felt that there something wrong with my body since I fell down the stairs. I met with my doctor .He told me both my wrist and forearm were broken. I was surprised that my wrist and my forearm were broken for 9 months and thats why my body was weak. My doctor told me that I have to do a surgery ASAP and physical therapy for a year. On 2012, i got arrested near my home for disorderly conduct ( alcohol) i wasn't so drunk , i was wearing high hells and short dress. i was walking with my best friend and I bended down to take off my shoes coz they were hurting my feet The cops arrested me and they told me I was showing my butt. After couple weeks I got a mail saying that I wont need to go to court. Am I able to get a new F1 visa ? Or do I need to hire a lawyer ? Well, let me start first with the arrest. If you got a letter stating you don't need court appearance, my questions are 1. Is it from the local precinct that arrested you or from your county district attorney. 2. Your charges falls under misdemeanor may be class C 3. If from any of the parties, does it mean your charges has been dropped? From the secound question, if your answer is yes, them you need to expunge your arrest record. You need an attorney to do that. Your student statues is a bit complicated, however, if you expunge your arrest record, you have lifted a huge burden off of you. Arrest records affects immigration petitions so you definitely need to take care of that. You also need to go back to your school and reapply through them, with medical proves Good Luck. |

salsera: Find how you can get that bill reduced and paid off. Maybe get a lawyer and appeal all the skyrocketing bills but do not attempt to travel without paying.
They WILL know you have unpaid bills. Trust me. Did you not get birth certificate and passport for your child She can not use an attorney on hospital bills unless there is an abrasion from the hospital's side. They gave her alternate option of payment (self pay) which in every circumstance is the lowest payment with a stipulated time frame. If she where to be a u.s citizen, it will go against her credit ratings which will make a little difficult to be functional in u.s. What the hospital did is normal, only that she can request for additional consideration in order for her to pay up. Write the hospital administration. At the point of entry, they will not know unless her case/information is given to HHS who will release her information to other government agencies eg department of home land security which CBP, ICE, and others are menbers. Good Luck. |

duch3ss: OKAY I WILL BE VERY SINCERE HERE AND I NEED SERIOUS AND GENUINE ADVISE:
I HAD MY 2 YEARS VISA TO THE U.S AND AS A WORKER I COULD NOT MAKE USE OF IT ON TIME.. BY THE TIME I HAD MY LEAVE AT WORK, I WAS 7 MONTHS PREGNANT AND THE VISA WAS ALMOST A YEAR GONE ALREADY.. SO I DECIDED TO USE THE VISA AND GO FOR SHOPPING FOR BABY THINGS SO I WILL BE ABLE TO RENEW AS I DO NOT KNOW WHEN NEXT I WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO USE IT DUE TO WORK. HONESTLY I THOUGHT OF HAVING MY BABY THERE BUT THEN, THEY TOLD ME THE BILL WAS $$$20,000-25,000 WHICH OF COURSE I CANNOT AFFORD. SO WHEN I GOT THERE AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS, I STARTED HAVING SERIOUS PAINS, I WAS SO SCARED I TOLD MY AUNT ABOUT IT AND WE BOTH KNEW IT WAS NOT LABOR BECAUSE I WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO 8 MONTHS.. BUT AS THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE AND BEING MY FIRST PREGNANCY, I WAS SCARED AND FINALLY WE ENDED IN THE HOSPITAL. AT THE HOSPITAL I WAS TOLD I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH FLUID AND THE BABY WAS RESTING ON MY UMBILICAL CORD. THEY HAD TO INDUCE ME IMMEDIATELY INTO LABOR FOR SURVIVAL CHANCES OF THE BABY.
SOON THE BABY CAME OUT, AND HE WAS TAKEN TO INTENSIVE CARE IMMEDIATELY WHERE HE SPENT ONE WEEK.
THE HOSPITAL BILL IS $6,500 NICU (NURSERY INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) IS $1,000 A DAY.
I HAVE BEEN PAYING EVEN WHEN I GOT BACK HOME TO NAIJA AND I HAVE PAID SO FAR TO A REMAINING BALANCE OF $4,000
THE ACCOUNT OFFICER LADY BEING SO MEAN GAVE ME A DEAD LINE THAT IF I DO NOT MEET UP TO, I WILL BE FORCED TO PAY CLOSE TO $60,000 USD BECAUSE THEY GAVE ME A DISCOUNTED PAYMENT SINCE I AM PAYING OUT OF POCKET (SELF PAY WITHOUT INSURANCE) ON THE DEAD LINE DAY I CALLED THIS WOMAN AND BEGGED HER TO GIVE ME SOME MORE TIME WHICH SHE REFUSED. HONESTLY I NOW STOPPED CALLING.
MY PROBLEM NOW IS THIS;
1) MY HUSBAND IS STILL OVER THERE, AND I WILL BE GOING TO VISIT HIM SOON. I STILL HAVE MY VISA VALID. WILL I BE DENIED ENTRY AT THE AIRPORT?
2) WHEN I GO SHOULD I JUST REMAIN THERE AND NOT COME BACK, THEN FIND A WAY TO WORK ON MY PAPERS?
3) I AM WORRIED THAT SINCE MY BILL HAS SKYROCKET AND I DID NOT PAY, WHEN I COME BACK AND TRY TO RENEW, I MAY NOT BE GIVEN VISA.
4) SHOULD I JUST RENEW AND AND NOT CLAIM THAT I HAVE A CHILD?
5) I DO NOT LIKE TO GO SIT THERE PERMANENTLY IF NOT COS MY HUSBAND WEY GO SIT DOWN THERE AND MY HUBBY TOO YOUNG TO LEAVE AM ALONE FOR THOSE YANKEE GIRLS HAND. ALSO I AM TOO YOUNG TOO TO BE DOING DISTANT MARRIAGE.
THO OPTION 2 HAS BEEN EVERYBODY'S ADVISE TO ME. PLEASE I NEED OPINIONS AND ADVISES.
PLEASE I NEED ADVISE.
THANK YOU. I will respond more directly and a little differently from most response you've got. Will start with your last posting/question; 1. How will they know you have unpaid hospital bills? Good question but very simple, your information will be given to health & human services (HHS) an arm of the government that handles health care system in the U.S. Now if you are still paying, they may not have. 2.If you will be denied entry? Well, comes down to what happened with number 1 answer. If they have, you will have problem but if not them you are good to go. 3.Will you go and remain their and never come back? I don't know why you want to do that. First, to be illegal in U.S is difficult, you can't drive, work, or operates freely. If you re in a car even when not driving, and the car is pulled over, you will be asked of your ID so also the operator of the vehicle. My sister, if you are caught ICE will deport you. No body in his or her right senses will advise you to do that. 4. Worries of not renewing your visa? Well it will be a worry if you stop paying or when it becomes an after thaught. You just need to pay up and reapply when your visa expires. Do not do, drop box because of your circumstance. Well being interviewed, give detail explanations on what happened. They are humans with listen ears and right senses. 5. Non disclosure of your child's birth? If you take that action, you have simple shoot your self on the foot because you have misrepresented. Lieing to a U.S immigration officer is considered a serious offense, if you leave in U.S, you can go to jail for that. It is a felony in U.S 6. Too young for separation from your spouse: This part is very concerning and sensitive. Very difficult to advise on this because you are right. You need your man and your family back together. As difficult as it may sound, your hubby may be the man to come back hence he is not really doing any thing. Summary: Please as hard as your situation seems like, do not get your self in a more tight situation. You can write to the hospital administrative body with your concerns. They will override the womans decision and put you back to a sliding scale payment, up till you pay up. You can also ask if your information has gone public to HHS. Infact you seek information with the HIPAA rule, freedom of information with the health care system. Good Luck |

Lucasbalo: You can use your expired passport to Nigeria provided it's not over six months expired by your travel date. You must produce your British passport at the Airport too. Make sure your wife renew the Nigerian passport before returning to Britain. It does not have to be 6 months. Even when is over, he is returning to a country he has nationality identity. I have gone to nigeria with 2 plus years expiration and no questions asked. You just have to apply for a new one before coming back. Same with your dual country of citizenship. kunle75: Hello Nlanders
Please i need to know what to be done,In my case myself and my wife has been refused visa to visit the republic of Ireland,
On the ground that my wife did not include the copy of the previous refusal statement form from UK and IRELAND,simply because we could not find it and there is no portion in the questionnaire giving to us at VFS GLOBAL to explain the reason why the form was not included so we could include the reason why its missing.
I was refused visa to the UK in 2010 and I included mine in the our file and we have lied under oath in filling our form
Please what can we do at this point because am not just happy considering the time it takes them to get back to us from the day we have submitted our application. And my annual leave starts soon.
NOTE:
My wife has appeared in those embassy b4 we were married and she confided in me that she could not find those documents due to movement from abeokuta to ibadan and lagos city due to her education.
Please i need your expert advise on the next line of action.
Thanks in advance @worry359 no need repeating what his concerns are, look for solutions. Well, your first step is to seek if you where placed in any restrictions on any future visa application. Please this is very important. Reason been; 1. They told you guys lied under oath. If they did, find out what is the restrictions and for how long will it last. 2. Find out if there is any waiver, even though I doubt if there is because you are applying for visit visa. Now, if you do not have any restrictions, you can go for an administrative hearing and attach all necessary documents and reasons why you did not add the denier form. A decision will made under this arrangement. Good Luck |

davvic: Pls all nairalander I'm planning to apply for visit visa to us. But I've once won visa lottery few years back but d us embassy in lagos deny my visa base on my waec result dt has just 4 credits . I never try us visa again after dt but now I want to try visiting visa. I'm married with 3 kids n financially I'm not good, I got a uncle who is ready to sponsor the trip for me alone. My uncle is a civil servant and he has pure water and bakery big one.. I have once live n study in uk before I came home to meet my family voluntarily in 2009 . Pls help me what are d document dt I will have to provide. I got a friend who is ready to invite me. Thank u. Documents are there in the website so also instructions to follow. Your denier previously is not really the issue now if what you stated earlier on was the reason for denier. The main issue you've got is the ability to convince the vo that you are a genuine tourist. Letter of invitation from your friend is not as important as you, proving that you are a genuine tourist. You have to provide them with necessary supporting documents stating your ties here in nigeria, such as kids certificates, marriage certificate, what you do here in nigeria and other documents that shows you ment to visit only. Good Luck |
