Kokolet11:What he did to Nigeria not what he did to SW. |
VulgarVulvas:Though i don't worship pastors but i serve the living God who is the Alfa and Omega, i'm not defending any pastor. I stand to be corrected, Pastor Adeboye never instructed any Nigerian not even his church members to vote for any of the Presidential candidates in 2015. Let us know if you have any other thing against this man and other churches you stated in your post. It is true that God talked about false prophets but he never mentioned their names the way you did. I will advice you to desist from spreading false witness against this people or condemn them. Remember every man will stand before God to give account of their stewardship. No insults please. God loves you. |
OfficialAwol:Brilliant analysis, Sen. Kwankwaso is more popular than any politician in the north including PMB. Tinubu and co are tired of Buhari b'cos we all know Buhari's sudden preference for his northern brothers to those who worked for his election into office. I am sure Buhari will not enjoy the support he enjoyed in the last election in 2019 b'cos of his rigid style. |
kitaatita:Pls sorry for quotin u but 2019 is nobody's birthright, an Igbo man can do it, a Yoruba man can do it, a Hausa man can also do it etc. let's 4get zonin and vote 4 people based on their competence. The truth is, our politicians have failed us. |
kynbasil01:The same way ibori tendered facts in Nigerian court and was acquitted and jailed in UK for the same case? I doubt if she and her associates will be lucky in their UK trial. I don't blaim them, i blaim our justice system and this Buhari led govt, if they are sincere with their 'war against corruption' they will first work on our justice system. The truth is, our public office holders capitalize on these weakness knowing fully well they have the money to buy justice. I am not a politician and i'll not support those who have killed our dear country or are trying to kill our dear country b'cos i am not in support of the current govt, that's bad for our growth as a nation. Thank God Mrs Deziani is also holding a british passport and she's also been tried in a similar case, let us keep our fingers crossed and watch how everything unfold. No insults please. |
This crisis started the day Buhari was declared the winner of 2015 election. Opposition who were not satisfied with the outcome of the election sponsored SS militant and IPOB agitation to destabilize the country, the youths are now been used as porns in the hands of politicians. Let's remember Buhari will come and go and we have people representing us at the national assembly, we can always speak through them, if they are not effective we can call them back. The truth is every tribe in this country are oppressed, mind you we have just two groups in this country the politicians (rich) and the poor they don't care about us, it's only when some of them are left out in sharing formula that's when they remember they belong to a section of the country which they can allays use to cause problem. Ken Saro Wiwa have gone, Dele Giwa have gone, Abiola also lost his life, so many soldiers have been killed in this struggle, the question is; is it worth the blood of any Nigerian? |
Fayose is an example of a bad leader, b'cos ur party lost in an election does not mean u should sponsor different groups in d country to bring down the country. Yes, ur porns (niger delta militants, IPOBs etc) will distabilize d govt successfully and make d ppl c d govt in bad light which will make the govt less important in 2019. If Fayose and other bad losers really have the intrest of the poor masses at heart, they should allow dis govt work and fail d same way PDP did for 16 years. APC should be given free hand to fail. I did not vote in 2015 b'cos i know it's d same Amechi, Wike, Fayose, Saraki, Tinubu, Bode George, Clerk etc. They have not done anything positive in d past so i have not been disappointed so far. The likes of Fayose, Ekweremadu, Atiku etc should not tell us they are d better alternative, we know they are all d same. Nigerian youths should take what is left of their future either peacefully or by force. The problem with Nigeria is not the tribes but leadership, they only use tribe as a tool to divide us. |
Episteme2:What can you do to help the situation. |
Nten:Good comment, most Nairalanders don't judge based on the constitution, they only support those who share their sentiment. |
lokobyforch:are we saying Senate rules is superior to nigerian constitution. When ever the Senate rules contradict the nigerian constitution, the Senate rule will bow b'cos nigerian constitution is superior to any rule or constitution of any group or body in Nigeria. Melaye and 10 others won their case in court against Bankole's house of reps b'cos suspending them means denying the constituencies they represent their participation in national issues the same thing applies in Ali Ndume's case. |
deflover:This have nothing to do with school admission, the constitution (section 171) is clear on this. If Mr. President is wrong in Magu's case, pls educate us by using a section in the constitution to backup your claim. No insults pls. |
deflover:I think the Senate has done their job by not confirming Magu and they should allow the President do his job by either nominating someone else to replace Magu or allow him continue in acting capacity which is also constitutional. Forcing the executive to play by their rules should not be encouraged. |
I stumbled upon a brilliant write-up on facebook by one Babatunde B. Yusuff which i'll like to share on NL: Is the VC of ABU in possession of any legal document that affirms that the student named Daniel Jonah Melaye who graduated in 2000 from the institution is indeed same individual now known as Dino Melaye. Just beats me that he could make a bold declaration at the senate hearing on monday 27th March that Senator Dino Melaye graduated from ABU in 2000. As an academic (Professor no less), i expected him to just state the facts as they are 'that indeed one Daniel Jonah Melaye graduated from the dept of Geography of the institution in the year 2000'..... Since that is what the records of the school says. The burden of whether 'Daniel Jonah Melaye' is same as 'Dino Melaye' would then be on the highly distinguished Senator. |
modestofynest:This is indeed the worst. They are bent on frustrating the executive arm of govt and making sure this govt fail in its campaign promises b'cos the executive has refused to share ghana must go bags the way previous govts have been doing and have also refused to overlook their pending corruption cases. I bet you, this senators will decamp to another party next year in preparation for 2019 election and blame this govt for all the hardship in the country knowing fully well the role they played in delaying 2017 budget for political reasons at the detriment of nigerians. We nigerians are quick to condemn the executive which we know they make lot of mistakes too but the legislative arm needs to be closely observed. #opennass. |
'Glass house and the Stone'. What a wonderful movie. |
Nigerians need to analyse issues carefully without sentiments. Delaying 2017 budget b'cos of Magu means punishing the Nigerian people. If the president wants him to continue his work in acting capacity after the Senate has failed to clear him, so be it. It is the right of Senate not to cofirm Magu maybe due to alleged criminals hiding in the Senate addressing themselves as honourable members, it is also the right of the president to allow Magu continue his job in acting capacity. Delaying 2017 budget b'cos of Magu is anti people and reducing EFCC's allocation to Zero b'cos of Magu just signifies their support for corruption. |
leanalyst:In my own opinion, i feel his case is different, he did not fill any custom enrolment form neither did he pass through any form of induction into nigerian custom, he was only appointed by the President to sanitise the system and he will only be there till when his employer feels his services are no longer needed and lets don't forget he is a retired military officer who has passed working age and will not be entitled to any form of pension after he leaves nigerian custom. I feel our Senators only want to ridicule him that's why they are over flogging the uniform issue. |
UNILAG authorities should know leaders are not groomed in prisons or graveyards where they learn in silence and not considered when taken decisions on issues concerning them. If we are preparing them for the future we need to carry them along by guiding them properly in areas of policy formulation not using intimidation as a form of defence each time they ask questions concerning their welfare. |
Please what next after the ADMISSION LETTER PREPARED ''YES'' and SIGNED BY DEPUTY REGISTRAR ''YES'' mail ? |
Please, anyone with useful info frm social works, i got recommendation mail since 14 Dec and no other info since then. |
sleeknick:I concur, #GIVEMEMYCOUNTRY |
SlimBrawnie:I concur, they tried it in Zimbabwe through election rigging but Mugabe has always been a step ahead of them. Using military option at this point which should be the last resort is suspicious but to face the fact it's time up for Jammeh, they are smarter than him so he should take a bow. |
When some people type on Nairaland you'll know where they are from so you can understand their reason for hateing Soworo because of the role he played in GEJ election. We all cannot support one person at the sametime, GEJ won in southwest except Osun in 2011 and lost in southwest except Ekiti in 2015, since then people from a section of the country call people from southwest names, are we saying Nigerians can't vote against a failed government because of tribal sentiment. GEJ performed below expectation during his term in office and that is history now, lets all support this present government and if they fail we'll trying other options till we get a credible leader. As for Omoyele Sowore, we need a parrot who will expose the excesses of our public office holders, that's the only one we have now after Fela and Gani so lets give him the needed support. |
khalids:I support your take on these but PMB should also respect ECOWAS court judgement on Sambo Dasuki. A court in Nigeria has also ordered FG to release El Zarzarki. |
michoim:For us not to be sentimental Robert Mogabe has never lost any election in Zimbabwe, i also frown at his long stay in office but if the constitution of his country permits his re-election over and over again so be it, if Mogabe haters must rig him out of office, they should tell the queen of England to resign or retire too. ![]() michoim:For us not to be sentimental Robert Mogabe has never lost any election in Zimbabwe, i also frown at his long stay in office but if the constitution of his country permits his re-election over and over again so be it, if Mogabe haters must rig him out of office, they should tell the queen of England to resign or retire too. |
we all know PDP is dead, but the truth is our politicians are ready to move to the next available reigning party. The only thing they consider is what they stand to benefit. |
If the Gambian President is using constitutional means to remain in power, ECOWAS and other member states should also use constitutional means to dislodge him. All the parties involved should respect the constitution of the sovereign state (Gambia). Federal Government of Nigeria should also respect court's judgement in El Zarzarki's case. Use of force should not be encouraged, the crisis in Libya, Iraq and Syria should be a lesson to us. |
NosaHenry:PDP picked their minority leaders at the National Assembly level without interference and same thing happened in Lagos. |
hardywaltz:True talk hardywaltz, imagine APC played the same game against the nomination of Godswill Apabio as the minority leader in the senate or Leo Ogor in the House of Reps. That is negative politicking which is designed to cause disagreement among allies, we don't need it. PDP was given a free hand to run the affairs of this country for 16 years without the interferance of other group or groups. PDP failed us for 16 years APC is toeing the same line, lets give them the chance either to succeed or to fail so by 2019 Nigerians will have a clearer picture of either to vote or not to vote at all or who to believe. |
