Mtakahela: Success is not is o
At first and till yesterday the training fee was stated 5000 naira, i struggled(Only God knows how i suffered) to get this amount of fee .
To my disappointment while i wanted to process the payment i found the price was doubled ,
So family to get into this business apart from his training is there another option ? Reading from page one is recommended but what confuse me is how to pick a domain from ED.
Also i heard someone is selling e book, is it worth for begginer
Your help is needed. I believe you're talking about the personal tutorial fee. In every new adventure, one always feel lost at first which is why the training is recommended for personal tutorship. Not to worry though, just start reading from page 1 of this thread. It is very important that you do. I was lazy to read the thread too so I had to pay the OP for mentorship. But I had difficulty grasping the knowledge because I don't even know what I'm being taught. A fellow newbie which we subscribed to the training together put me through some very simple things. Turned out he read the first few pages of this thread before paying for mentorship. And when they say read, it doesn't mean reading like you have an exam. Nobody can read almost 2000 pages of NL comments and except to remember all. Even some of them are petty comments. Just read/skim/glance to learn even if it's some few terms. If you like read page 2 and jump to 700 and go back to page 10. Knowledge is knowledge as long as you've gained something you won't forget easily. Namepros also have some interesting topics for beginners which is not so congested like the one here on nairaland. Silverrock once shared a PDF file of gathered information from this thread. If you can get that, it will help too. Some guys here (khalyfah, simpsonrocket) have blogs that you can learn from. Just check them out. I will also see if I can put together some terms in domaining that can help newbies. And don't be afraid to start. I'm not sure there's anyone here who didn't register crappy names at first. I still do. Read up and get your first set of crappy names with your 5k. |

uruba23: I am having problem linking my Africard account and I am tired contacting customer care. The first reply was that my BVN wasn't linked. Later they said they have to deactivate my BVN from a previously linked Africard and I told them I don't have any previous Africard with them, the last time I bank with them was more than a decade ago. Then they say it is gtpsecure was able to login change the password yet account not linking as card is still been declined .I like to believe I am wrong and trying to pretend I didn't hear the BVN story, mind you I have activated the card on their ATM. I want proper advice before I take the next step. Thank you. Is the card funded already? |

AirFireEarthH20: You missed the point about what the guy mean by nothing special. Would the end user have bought the domain at that price if the owner hadn't priced it @$4,888? Reread his statement very well. This is a special sale bro. Not because of the price but because of the perceived value of the domain that sold for such amount. How many domainers (even the veterans) will valuate that domain at that amount before it sold? Of course it is true that if you don't ask for it you won't get it, but that doesn't mean end-users will throw cash at you because you feel your domain is worth it. $4.9k for the sale of an 18-letter three word geo domain name doesn't happen every Sunday. |

AwesomeDuru: You're not alone bro, I also get these random messages and calls.
Personally, I feel Dingtone recycles numbers that have been used and left by previous owners.
Sometimes though, some of the calls are from websites/contact forms you filled while outbounding and they are only following up.
I get random texts/whatsapp messages all the time from people I have no clue how they got the number.
See screenshots of two instances. Mine didn't even work on WhatsApp |

budosky: Some bitter truth about this biz
1. Until you go six months straight or more without a sale and you keep on learning and buying good domains without being demoralized, then that's when I would say you've taken this income source as a real business. But you have few 10s of unsold domains and you are already contemplating if this biz is viable or not, then you need to move on to the next available biz.
2. You need to have other biz you're running to avoid clamorous situations when there is what we call "sales drought". This other biz will cushion the effect of "no sales" for a long period of time.
I have forgotten the remaining points I wanna make... maybe later.. Those two points are enough lessons already... |

It seems he's interested but the location na something sha Move on to the next end user. How come you message people whose locations are not related with your domain? |
