yemi1504: With the God that is a preferential God and his adherents that are mostly not a light to the world like they should, why would he not quit?
It is not like they are ever give serious messages in those places of worship these days anymore asides prosperity preaching. God loves mankind and this is demonstrated in Christ death for the sins of world. Romans 5:8 tells us that "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
The Scriptures emphasize that God's love transcends our imperfections. Even when we were lost in sin, God's love remained unwavering. Those who believe in His name, as mentioned in John 1:12, are granted the extraordinary privilege of becoming children of God. Maybe this is the preferential treatment you're referring to but this doesn't in anyway make God biased.
It is important to know that God's love holds no prejudice. There is no discrimination based on tribe, religion, race, or gender in His divine plan. This claim is reinforced by passages like John 3:16, which declares, "For God so loved the world," demonstrating that God's love encompasses all of humanity. In the eyes of God, no one is left out or favored over another; His love is impartial and all-encompassing.
I agree with you that as Christians, we are meant to be light to the world but maybe we do not really understand what being light means. This is where we need understanding through the guidance of teaching priests and also through the study of the scripture.
Serving God and serving His purposes is not really difficult as many people think. It will interest you to know that many unbelievers are keeping the laws of God even without knowing it. This is a concept of knowing what is right from wrong and doing it even without being told or watched. In the Christendom however, many of us are not really Christians because we do not know God. We are just religious people. There is a difference between both.
You said above that Churches don't preach serious messages aside teachings on prosperity. While I agree that most churches do this to grow their members, I will also like you to know that prosperity is not out of God's agenda for mankind. It is not God's design that you will be a spirit-filled Christian who can blast in tongues but still struggling to pay rent or children school fees. That doesn't in any way glorify God or portray you as light to your world. If anything at all, it exposes that person as a cancer whose faith is not worth following.
The church is meant to be a body that helps christians grow spiritually, morally, financially, and in everything you can think of through practical and faith tested teachings. Your faith in God does not mean you should be docile or incompetent at work and expect not be sacked. It doesn't mean you have a wasteful spending habit and expect not to suffer lack. Being a victorious Christian means growth in every aspect of your life. This growth must be biblically complaint, and result must be visible and tested even by unbelievers.
If you feel your church is not teaching such truth, then you shouldn't be shy to find a religious body that does. This age of the internet even makes it better as you can listen to recommended messages and see if it conforms with your belief. |

kkkp: What they do mostly is they generate fake application code which will be on your invitation letter sent to your mail. Reason for this is to cover tracks because many were complaining that they did screening and were not called. So even during investigation the replacement guys will be seen also as they did screening. Though they have not started calling replacement guys fully, till after this Thanks man. |

Ojoto1: for some of you blaming me I accept it in good faith but pray you doesn't come a time you have to make a difficult decision like I did. the job is well paid job but family have to come first. thank you all Any man with responsibilities won't mind moving anywhere as long as he can provide for the needs of his family. The point here is that you have choices. It's good to have choices and I envy you for that but you should also understand that it is very unusual for a stranger on the internet to grant favors like this and even more painful that the recipient let it go to waste. I believe you've thought this through and you are taking the decision you feel is best for your family. I wish you well for the future but I would advise whatever you have to say should be said to Nwanyiogwashi in private. There is no point seeking for pity or justification of your decision here. It's pointless. |

Gabicon20: with all due respect what is wrong with him paying in million to buy the job for his nephew or at least hustle around for even a c-list agency for him so the young man sort his way out from there. Note the guy said he graduated and tabled his matter b4 him somany years b4 his daughter graduated, there was no opportunity but the moment his daughter graduated there was an a-list chance. The uncle has always had that chance with him. He is clearly a wicked man who doesn't just prioritize his own children but takes joy in seeing his children grow above his brother's children so they will worship them in the future. I advise the guy to assume he has no such uncle and double his hustle out there. So the uncle shouldn't do anything for his own children simply because there are nephews he hasn't be able to help? All I see is a sense of entitlement, nothing like wicked uncle. E easy na im your own papa no run am for you? |

it's a sensitive stuff and I needed information from her based on one of her previous posts to enable me follow up with something very important (not job related). I believe she has the information I needed, and that's the only reason I'm reaching out to her.
Honestly speaking, I just hope she respond's to my DM. You've been quoting her here all this while without any response. That should tell you she isn't interested in talking to you. Quote her on a dead thread with your enquiry if you are really serious and have no ulterior motive. She will decide if your question is worth responding to. |

Please and please if you guys come any agency recruiting please do carry me along o. Thank you all in advance. In this age and time, the internet is enough for every information you need. Nairaland on its own is filled to the brim. While published vacancies on National dallies is a confirmation of recruitment, and I think to fulfill all righteousness, there are many openings that won't be advertised. Gfan: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Are you trying to say you have give up or what? Calm down, any moment from now the successful candidates will be contacted.
The reason why the recruitment was not concluded last month was a result of friction between federal character commission and the NERC.
FCC wanted slots and the NERC chairman was insisting on not giving them, so they withhold the process. At the end, he has to comply by giving them the slots.
The process is now on the DESK of NERC.
Any moment within this month is a most because the chairman will be retiring soon.
Cheers to those who have high hope and faith in the process 🍷🍷🍷 You don't comment much around here but it is always helpful whenever you do. Thanks for the update. |

Skankamola: Pause this holier than thou thing and ask yourself, if your child has asthma attack and on your way to the hospital there is serious hold up, would you break the law and drive a one way route or maintain the law and wait for the hold up to clear? Yes the man is guilty of this, and likely many more things but this is not the right instance for the punishment he may deserve. Btw im sure nidcom writes letters for other unknown people you will never hear of since they are not "big men" At the bolded is such a pathetic attempt at comparison. How about I give you a better one? Let's say your life is in danger and you can save it but then you have to endanger someone else's life in the process, and you did it. Now here is the question: should the appropriate authority punish you or they should just forgive you because you had no other choice but to save your life? I mean your life is more important than the other person whom you just endangered. Isn't it? |
Politics › Re: Dabiri-Erewa, NIDCOM Plead For Leniency As Ekweremadu Awaits UK Court Sentence by Crazeworld(m): 12:46pm On May 03, 2023 |
Will they be writing letters if this happened to an ordinary Nigerian?
Why is no human rights agency in Nigeria clamouring for judgement on behalf of the boy involved? He is Nigerian as well, isn't he?
Why does it look like some people are 'too big' to be punished for something that has long be established as an offense?
The point remains that the elites doesn't give a shit about you. They care for themselves irrespective of political or tribal differences. |
