Do you live in the US? If no, then I understand the reasons behind your ignorant rant and subtle insult. Due to the impact of slavery on American demographics, the cognomen "African - American" is almost entirely reserved for black Americans whose parents are not first generation migrants and the likes. A Nigerian born in the US under the current system is recognized as a Nigerian -American and a Somalian in the same shoe is recognized as a Somali - American. The successes and achievements of Nigerian - Americans is online and even CNN recently made a special broadcast on it. In sports,medicine, science, technology, businesses, education and many more - Nigerians are at the very top. Do your research!

The US has the highest amount of universities across the three most recognised higher education ranking agencies (ARWU, QS and THEHigherEducation). So it's amusing when you state the bold. Expensive? Yes. Certainly not overrated. Moreover, there are many other top schools aside Ivy league + institutions and unlike Canada, the funding opportunities are immense. Same Canada you mentioned has a higher visa refusal for African and Nigerian students (8 out of 10 Nigerian prospective students are denied student's visas - https://studentimmigration.ca/canada-rejects-most-african-students/). Additionally, scholarships in Canadian universities are far and in between which mainly cater to the top 1% of students.

The US might have her flaws but for a Nigerian who cannot afford huge fees (10 million plus) or compete for scholarships, it's the most preferable option. With a degree from a R2 universities in the US, a tenacious individual can work anywhere.

Don't mind him. American universities are the most expensive in the world but you can never compare the available opportunities in terms of funding and career progression to any other country. Most of the scientific and technological advancements of this century came from American universities. Contrary to what he said, there is OPT that you are automatically entitled to and you can stay back to work with a company that can even sponsor your H-1B visa.

Let me give you a brief opinion about each country:
US - Their schools are overrated and expensive. Upon graduation you will not be allowed to stay back except it's an IVY league schools ( Harvard, yale, princeton, Stanford, Columbia MIT, Brown etc) since you want to relocate US is a no no

UK - Very easy to get admission and it's quite pricey too but like the US you cannot stay back after graduation.

Canada - this is by far the best choice for the following reasons
1.) Affordable school fees
2.) Friendly and tolerate environment
3.) You can stay back after graduation with a post graduate work permit (pgwp), its 1 yr prep for 1 yrs program and 3yr pgwp for programs of 2yrs or more. This us important because you are expected to use the work permit to get a job and process your permanent residence.

With this canada far outweigh the others for young single guys and even families.

Go to canada and see yourself prosper

This is an ignorant post. Firstly, US schools are expensive but not over-rated. Do you want to compare their research(patents, innovations, Nobel Prize winners) with any other country of the world? Most of the technological and scientific discoveries of the 21st century started in US universities.

You are also wrong that you must leave the US upon graduation. There is what we call OPT - which provides you with the opportunity to stay back and work between 1 to three years upon your graduation. I'm currently in the US and most of the Nigerian students here get OPTs of up to three years upon grad.

Nigeria’s Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua was the Speaker at this year's Commonwealth Service which held today, 9th of March, 2020 in London.

My review is based on two high end/ flagship devices of Samsung and Apple.

You would see that all the pages would start reloading, and they won't show with your data off.Then try that on the 12gb ram phone with chrome.


Ios is just pure hype. Apart from frequent updates and security, there is nothing special about it. Why it seems so smooth is because apple is in full control of the hardware and software of their devices unlike anndroid. Google has to create software for countless brands like samsung, huawei, sony, motorola etc and also different processors like qualcomm, mediatek, exynos and kirin.

If apple had the same challenge, ios would be the laggiest os ever.

I just tried what you just said on my Safari Browser and nothing reloaded. Mind you, I use a WiFi 99% of the time.

9m naira for graduate school in the U.S? That can barely pay tuition for a semester in many programs - mind you, Master’s degrees are usually for two years in the US. The average graduate school program in the U.S costs around 15m naira per year(and this is just tuition).

I've used the two phones for months bro and there is no way the iphone is as fast as note 10+,the only think you can say is the user interface on the iPhone is smoother, but when it comes to running things the Samsung beats the iphone,in terms of ram management they don't even come close at all cos the note 10+ is far better in this aspect.
Try exporting an 8k image on adobe Photoshop on both phones at the same time and you'll know what's up.

Wow. I'm surprised by your comments on the RAM management. Usually, the Samsung 10+ uses more RAM for similar activities to the iPhone and when you start running many APPs, downloads/installation and stuff like that, it will begin to slow down. Whereas, the iPhone will still be running smoothly as if you did not open any app or you are not downloading anything.

I use an iPhone 11p max and I can tell you that your number one point in a farce,the note 10+ is better tasked to handle demanding and a lot more better than the iphone in terms of ram management.irrespective of how great apple is with the ram game you can't compare 4gigs of ram with 12gigs of ram.be guided.

Have you tried using both phones for the same tasks at the same time? I’ve tried this several times and the iPhone had a way smoother experience.

I don't seem to get your point. I only compared the iPhone 10x Max with my friend’s iPhone11 Pro Max with a view to confirming or dispelling the claim that iPhones have not changed since Steve Jobs died. Mind you, most of the points I raised are arguments I’ve heard from people on both sides of the debate in the past - my use of both ecosystems only gave me the opportunity to carry out the research and experiments that either validated or refuted such arguments. I still use my Android phone.

You are also wrong. iPhones are not the most expensive in the world. There are android phones that are more expensive than iPhones. The Samsung Galaxy 20 Ultra for instance.

Android is not a thrash. I enjoy how easy it is to customize. It all depends on what you want and what works for you. I will even love to try the new Samsung S20 Ultra soon.

I've been using android phones since 2013 and I specifically became an ardent lover of Samsung phones in 2015 when I tried one of the Galaxy Note series. Since then, I've used and tried so many Samsung phones up to the Samsung Note 10+. A little over a month ago, I decided to purchase an iPhone since 99% of my American friends at work and school communicate via iMessage and this was preventing me from receiving timely information and communication - so I decided to purchase the iPhone 10x Max. And these are my observations.

NOTE: This is not a battleground for android or apple fans. It is just a personal observation and I think both OS are great - depending on what you want. I still have my Samsung phone with me by the way and it's doing fine.


1. iPhones are by far the smoothest phones on earth

The first surprise I had was the smoothness of an iPhone with just 4GB RAM when compared to the performance of the 12GB RAM on the Samsung Note 10+ . On the iPhone, I went on a simultaneous download spree of FIFA, PES, ASPHALT, MODERN COMBAT and many other games but the iPhone swallowed all the task without slowing down, heating or lagging. I embarked on the the same spree on the Note 10+ and it struggled to download at the pace of the iPhone and its performance began to slow down/lag after a few minutes. The ease at which iPhones swallow big tasks and still run so smoothly is shocking.

2. Big SPECS on paper do not translate to better performance in real life

I used to think iPhone users are crazy for buying phones with inferior specs(on paper - camera Megapixels, battery MAHs, RAMs etc) to Samsung flagship devices until after I tried the two ecosystems. In fact, that an android phone has 12GB of RAM does not mean it will perform better than an iPhone with even just 3GB RAM. Paper specs don't tell the entire story. In the same vein, an iPhone camera with 12MP do shoot better videos and take more impressive photos than an android phone with 30MP camera.


3. iPhones are restrictive
Unlike android phones, you cannot customize iPhones' settings as much as you desire. You can only operate within the freedom given by Apple - which is one of the major reasons why many have refused to switch to iPhones. This makes iPhones boring to a lot of people.


4. iPhones are better for Security and Privacy
It's easier to hack or intrude android phones - when compared to iPhones. The encryption and security on iPhones are top notch and this is a deal breaker for millions of folks.


5. It is a big lie that iPhones are the same set of Devices since Steve Job's death

When I compared my iPhone XS Max with my friend's iPhone 11 Pro Max, I discovered that the latter has better camera, better battery, an improved processor and build alongside many other differences. While the average user may not notice the differences or even utilize the improved specs, it is foolhardy to claim there have not been any improvement on the iPhone for years. Even between the iPhone 10x Max(which was launched in 2018) and the iPhone 11 Pro Max(which was launched in 2019) - there are significant differences.

6. iPhones Batteries Last Longer (Flagship iPhone vs a flagship Android phone)
On paper, many flagship Android phones have higher battery capacities(MAH) but in everyday use, the flagship iPhones actually last longer. For instance, an iPhone may have a battery capacity of 3,000MAH but put it and an Android phone that has 6,000MAH battery capacity through the same tasks, the iPhone will still have more juice after 4hours. Perhaps, it is due to Apple’s optimization technology.

I still use my Samsung phone - particularly for WhatsApp with my Nigerian friends back home and it is still a solid device. If you do not give a damn about iMessage/Facetime, top notch privacy/security and other exclusive things iPhones have to offer, just stick to your android devices.
