meobizy:
Say he wants to buy a few things from a shopping mall a kilometre away, he’ll waste unnecessary fuel taking a helicopter flight through the short distance? Don’t make me laugh. So, he is somehow immune to fuel scarcities which frustrate almost every citizen in the country? If you live in Nigeria, one or two of our useless conditions must touch you. There’s a reason thieving government officials find means to travel out occasionally. The headaches in this shithole are too many.
Lmao! Even rich men who have less than 10% of Adenuga's wealth don't worry about getting things from shopping malls, fuel scarcity and stuff like that. Mind you. Adenuga is an oil tycoon, a nation-wide fuel scarcity can never be a problem to someone that has numerous oil depots, thousands of petrol stations - all culminating into millions of litres of petrol. I have a friend who is close to the Adenuga family and he once revealed that even one of their their family Chefs is a Caucasian foreigner. Billionaires don't bother about getting groceries from malls - they have a handful of domestic staff who are primarily employed to get this done. They buy these things in bulk - capable of lasting for weeks(or even months) and they have unflinching access to the producers/suppliers of these items - which means they can get as many as they want at any given time.

So you actually think Adenuga goes to Lagos malls to get groceries? Lmao! I doubt if he ever gets to even think or worry about that.

there is no Corona virus in nigeria. the ministry of health wants to get their hands on the 620 million set aside to fight d disease. the Italian 'if any' na scam.

we dint see his picture, they dint tell us his name, which airline carried him? was he the only Italian to have entered the country that day? yet one man came out to say he was d uber driver that carried him, did the health ministry post the Italian picture anywhere for us to see, how did d driver know he is d one?
This is one of the most Stu.pid posts I have ever read in my entire life.

Even in the United States where a Corona virus patient died yesterday, have you seen any picture of the deceased or the other 58+ cases in the U.S?

Mind you, if you have been reading the news, you would have known that he came in to Nigeria via Turkish Airlines!!!

The man that came out to be his Uber driver may have been acting alone - after all there have been bunch of fake and idiotic rumors being peddled around - like the fake reports about someone threatening to infect people unless he is paid #100m.

So because of a mere 620million naira?(which is not even up to 2million dollars), a billion dollar company like LARFARGE will be acting a useless script?

The worst part of what you wrote is the fact that some simpletons actually believe this gibberish claims and they are promoting it as well.

Smh.

Running up and down is actually not Joshua’s style of fighting. He only used that strategy to get his belts back from Ruiz. Go and watch his previous matches on YouTube. Joshua is a beast at his best!

How can u say AJ has fought more high profile matches.. AJ has 24 fights, 1 loss, Fury has 31 Fights, No Loss.. Wilder has 44 fights, 1 loss.. When did AJ come 2 d limelight.. These guys actually been around way more than AJ.. Don't compare AJ to them play..
AJ biggest star? Stop reasoning with ur Anus.
What are you even saying? How many high profile boxers has Wilder fought compared to A.J?

Yes. A.J is the biggest star in the Heavyweight division. What is the worth of Fury and Wilder? What is their match sharing formula? If A.J wants to fight Fury, he will pocket more money than him because he has a bigger fan base and he has more endorsements. Have you ever been to a boxing match in the U.K or U.S before? A.J is by far the biggest of the three.

After Fury had dealt with Klitschko.. AJ won't accept those belts if Fury hadn't surrendered them.. Fury beat Klitschko got d belts n had 2 check into Rehab Wen he was behaving funny.. d belts were taken from him.. AJ would avoid fought Fury for those belts n he would avoid been eaten raw.. AJ can't run for life.. look at d way Wilder n Fury keep on going at each other.. no fear.. they r not fighting unknown boxers n running away from d big guys.. they will soon get a rematch again.. AJ will av 2 fight these two guys one day.. or he is waiting for then 2 get old like Klitschko b4 striking..
You don't know what you are talking about. It seems most of you started following A.J after his loss to Ruiz. You tried to gloss over A.J knocking out Klitschko and the fact that A.J has defeated more high profile boxers than Wilder. Do you even remember that A.J wanted to fight Wilder badly early last year? That Wilder spoilt the arrangement by demanding for equal pay when A.J is the biggest star in the Heavyweight. The cash cow!

And you are talking as is A.J is way younger than.them. Mind you, Fury is only a year older than A.J!

It’s unfair when you people try to judge AJ’s career based on his matches with Ruiz. Were you guys following AJ before then? AJ has fought and knocked out stronger opponents than Wilder and Fury has ever done in their careers. The only thing about Wilder is his right hand - he lacks tactics and A.J will finish him. How many top boxers has Wilder fought in his career compared to A.J? Fury is not even the Heavyweight Puncher that A.J is. You people only started following AJ’s career after his first match with Ruiz and you guys are now under-rating him everyday. Do you guys think it’s easy to unify those belts he has? Do you guys know how many top ranking boxers he fought to win them?

Joshua schooled in Mayflower shagamu, Nigeria is what makes him thick .. in a competitive sport like boxing, you need confidence and the best way to boost your confidence is to go to your root, visit where you grew up, see thing that helped shape you

to me any time I feel abit down I just drive around my child hood neighborhood , I visit my primary school, secondary school and other places that seem so big and scary to me back then and I see how tiny it had shrunk or how old I have become.. this to me is the best therapy a man can ever have.. it works 99% of the time

many Nigerians calling Nigeria shithole do so because they are poor and disadvantaged , if you can gurantee your own comfort (inverter/solar , good estate, little change in the account and good ride) you would understand Nigeria is a very very lovely place to enjoy your life,

.
Bro, you just spoke to my heart. I'm currently thinking of how to save up a lil bit and visit the town that groomed me(including my primary and secondary schools there). My heart has been drawing to them for a while. Such trip is always refreshing and spiritual.

Hello dear nairalanders.

Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.

Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.

I have two thoughts.

1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.

I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.

Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.

So this is what i plan on doing.

1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25.
Will that be advisable?

2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?

3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job.
Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.

Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.

Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.

All i want is to take note of good advice.

I already know a reliable traveling agent.

Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.

Please help

Some people who have suffered enough in this country wouldn't mind staying away from Nigeria for a lifetime..

You are just yaning opata like this because you even had the privilege to travel out in the first place.

I'm sure your view would be different if there wasn't any possibility of you ever traveling out of Nigeria
I guess you don’t even know my background. I spent the first 21years of my life in Nigeria( and my current age is below 25). My Uncle could not get a job many years after graduation. We’ve been homeless in the past. One of my uncles lost his investments to govt recklessness. My family and I have lived in slums and villages(I’ve experienced Nigeria at its worst) but Nigeria is forever our home and we will forever love it.

We love Nigeria not because of its political leaders or its difficult environment but because of its people, the Naija spirit and culture. When I was in Nigeria, I also had this mentality that if I get the opportunity to travel out of the country, I will never look back again. I was wrong! A few months after I left, I began to miss the country - so much so that I had to return to spend some time home. Nigeria has its enormous challenges but even America and other Western countries are not perfect as well.

Living abroad will make you understand that Nigeria should be better than many of these Western countries if it properly harnesses its human capital and natural resources.

Exactly my point. I’ve been in the United States for a while now and there is no day I don’t miss Nigeria. There is that special feeling that comes with knowing that your real home is Nigeria. I know of Nigerian - American students here(who were born here by Nigerians but have never been to Nigeria before) that have Nigerian flags in their rooms. Most of them read all the negative news about Nigeria but they still know that their only true home is Nigeria. Some of them will be graduating from college in a few weeks and they will all have Nigerian flags on their shoulders on their graduation day. Some Nigerian - Americans even dance better to Nigerian music than Nigerians in Nigeria itself.

There are many of these Nigerian - American students who apply to intern in Nigeria for free. Some of them will go to Nigerian - intern for a few months and return back to the United States - with stronger love for their roots and country despite all the negativities they witnessed. I never knew how powerful roots and ancestors are until after I left Nigeria for the U.S
