1) Torres wasn't caught offside "like 5 times". Exaggeration.
Dude was in the MF nearly as often as he was up front.

2) Shouldn't have been a penalty. Torres developed spaghetti legs and fell.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester City (3 - 2) Southampton - 19th August 2012 @4pm by Cristalz(f): 3:59pm On Aug 19, 2012
City should take this without breaking much sweat.

coogar:
jealousy is a female trait....

"like seriously" is the phrase that peeves me the most especially coming from a human with gonads. when females utter it, it can be understood cos women are just what they are - women!

On behalf of all females, I object to the above sentences of yours, fellow Manc.
Stick to lashing the dude for the drivel he posted and leave your obviously sexist views out of it. Haba.

And this is me asking nicely. grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Cristalz(f): 3:24pm On Aug 19, 2012
Chelsea didn't look threatening to me, but hey, a win's a win.
Can't say "good defending" either 'cos there wasn't much of Wigan to defend.

MOTM= Victor Moses grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Cristalz(f): 3:16pm On Aug 19, 2012
Abeg you guys should sell Torres. grin
Shoulda been 3!

nateevs:

Moses' ability is at least one step above his team mates.
WTH happened to Cech?

Can't blame him for dozing a lil'. . .Wigan weren't giving him much to do.
BTW, Meireles has got the ugliest mohawk I've seen so far.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Cristalz(f): 3:08pm On Aug 19, 2012
I feel bad for Moses. Dude's sowing hardwork on that wing and reaping frustration in buckets.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Cristalz(f): 3:01pm On Aug 19, 2012
No fair. Lampard shoulda gotten a yellow for that.

It will take a while for all to gel.
Don't be too much in a hurry to see the silky things. cheesy

Yeah, I know. Kinda like Arsenal.
Oscar is beautiful on the pitch but not solo. Better when he dances with others, like that neat pass to Ivanovic just now.
Chelsea's attack will be glorious when (if) all the new boys get to understand each other.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Cristalz(f): 2:47pm On Aug 19, 2012
FBS: 15 brilliant minutes (and 2 well taken goals) but after that we are basically chasing the game. It's like we are playing with 10 men.
Perfect sight. grin
Wigan outplayed your guys in 1st half, that is after gifting y'all the first goal.
Now this half is plain boring. . .guess Wigan haven't got any fight left and Chelsea is still as mechanical as ever.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Wigan Vs Chelsea (0 - 2) On 19th August 2012 by Cristalz(f): 2:16pm On Aug 19, 2012
Didn't that dude know to lift the ball over Cech's head? What a waste.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Wigan Vs Chelsea (0 - 2) On 19th August 2012 by Cristalz(f): 2:05pm On Aug 19, 2012
Havilah93: why are these wigan guys so rough angry

Frustration. That, or they don't care if they go down to 10 men.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Wigan Vs Chelsea (0 - 2) On 19th August 2012 by Cristalz(f): 1:36pm On Aug 19, 2012
Penalty. Bad to worse.

That has gotta be the easiest goal of the week; buildup and all.
Gift from Wigan.

I think Arsene should seriously consider buying Berbatov grin

It's only the first game though; the new boys and the old ones just need time to get used to playing together.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Vs Sunderland (0 - 0 ) On 18th August 2012 by Cristalz(f): 4:54pm On Aug 18, 2012
Well, at least Arsenal didn't lose.
Draw still okay, considering that this is yet another "new" team still trying to get used to each other.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Vs Sunderland (0 - 0 ) On 18th August 2012 by Cristalz(f): 4:39pm On Aug 18, 2012
Sunderland are busy misplacing passes crazily and making defensive errors.
Would be quite sad if Arsenal fail to capitalize on this.

Emperoh: Hmmm!! And she makes an august appearance.
The Mancunian First lady!! grin shocked

To what do we owe this appearance Cristalz?

RVP's acquisition grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Cristalz(f): 10:07am On Aug 17, 2012
Does changing your name from Miss Alicia Wenger to Mrs Alicia Ferguson make you a different person? undecided grin

BTW, I'm with Deballzky on the trophy ownership thing.
Why else are City currently called 'title defenders'? Cos it is theirs to defend. . .trophy included.
We won it, we lost it. Get used to it. grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Cristalz(f): 10:02am On Aug 17, 2012
True, United do not need RVP, but there is no denying that the dude will add to the team's arsenal (no pun intended grin ).
He is injury prone, but I don't think he had any serious injuries last season. . .and let's not forget his scoring record. He may be hitting 30 but he definitely ain't washed up yet. And he is very hungry for some silverware so he will work hard for it.
I'm sure you guys will be putting him in your fantasy squads soon enough.

The issue with his addition as already pointed out is that it would leave Chicharito, Welbeck and Berba fighting hard for starting places.
But on the upside, therez nothing wrong with some healthy competition, and there are indeed enough games for everyone to get a taste of.
Personally I think this gives the team less predictability, more depth and more stamina in the sense that when the injuries start to hit we are not likely to get slowed down.

As for the DM issue. . .hmm.
Breaking up opposition play in the middle is important cos then you force 'em to make mistakes and thereby ease the defenders' workload.
When you have opponents with the kinda chemistry between Oscar and Neymar coming at you and you fail to interrupt 'em in the middle and wait till they get to the edge of your 18 or within the 18 itself, you risk penalties and dangerously-positioned freekicks.
Not saying defenders cannot handle their jobs, but having a DM minimizes risk.
But if Fergie feels one is unnecessary, okay.

Still feels darn good to have snatched someone vital from the Arses grin

Steal one cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by Cristalz(f): 8:30pm On Mar 12, 2012
You guys are pretty sad. grin
Instead of admitting that Ivanovic was sh*t on the day, you're sidestepping by asking how other players performed compared to him.
Who cares?? In 45 minutes, he had only one chance. Which he missed, of course. Everything else he did was nonsense. It's not like he had 5 chances and missed just one.
The point is, Ivanovic was inept given the freedom he was handed and had to get off the pitch. End of story.

@lalaboi
Me and RDM go way back. grin
Ivanovic had all of 45 minutes to make himself useful, but he did the opposite. A headless chicken equally oozes confidence and believes it can fly.
No player's perfect. . .even Messi has sh*tty days sometimes so quit getting unnecessarily defensive 'cos Ivanovic had a bad day.
