One thing I always admire about your writing is how with written expressions you are able to clearly commumicate facial and physical expressions that would have only been perfectly conveyed psychologically through observation by sight.

I dropped my resignation letter where am working presently and it was declined because I did not give a month notice. What's the implication of just leaving the place and going for service in the future. I need good advice.

Just to emphasize on certain aspects:

1. The rule for resignation is: NEVER BURN THE CANDLE BEHIND YOU. We now live in the information age where things and times are changing quickly and frequently; of which the only way one can get along with such changes in addition to self development and God's grace, is through HUMAN NETWORKS.

2. Employers tend to respect and trust job applicants who have their previous employer(s) as one of their Referees. This is because experience has made these Employers to know that many people leave a job out of a perceived ill-treatment which results in a broken relationship between the parties involved.

3. For some certain key positions and responsibilities a job applicant is vieing for, prospective employer(s) secretly make intensive findings about an applicant to the extent of his/her background, places lived and visited, friends and family settings, religious beliefs, activities on social media (like facebook, linkedin, twitter, nairaland, etc), and most importantly, PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS' RECOMMENDATIONS

My summary is, even though it will require you using NYSC's inconsistent nature as a veritable tool for lieing about your sudden resignation, MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE THAT ORGANISATION IN GOOD FOOTINGS

Its quite unfortunate that we live in an era where many people do not (and are not interested in paying attention to) know the value of Time, Plans and how several Milestones (both Short-Term and Long-Term) are put in place so as to achieve some set Plans, Goals and Objectives.

Its also annoying that we are surrounded by most people who only get inspired into action at the SPEED OF THOUGHT - which NYSC as a body, is a victim.

From the first week of February this year when I came into full understanding of the fact that the NYSC as a body do not have any predefined blue print upon which the entire NYSC Scheme is being run and were short-circuiting my life, plans and long-term goals, I decided to take another job (after resigning from the previous one that paid me 40k in addition to what I currently receive) in order to lessen the idle moments.

GOD WILL HELP US IN THIS COUNTRY!
