Viqtour: Good day house.
I am an ardent follower of this thread and shouldn't be asking this question. I've been using First Bank for TBILLS mostly in secondary market.
First Bank is having issues with TBILLS so I decided to try GTBank however, I invested in primary market yesterday but till now I haven't been debited.
I don't know if I should call my account officer or if that's what is obtainable for GT customers. Is First Bank Having issues with T-bills or the issue is general?cos I used first Bank and I'm panicking already |

Mills55: I went to Stanbic this morning and I was told that there's no more secondary market. I tried to inquire, I was told that it's from CBN. that one can only place order for primary market only for now. The lady at First Bank also told me something similar, she said there are a lot of rules guiding it now. |
Phones › Data Charge At High Rate On 9mobile by crowntoro(op): 4:56am On Oct 29, 2019 |
Guys, Please come to my aid.. I use a 9mobile sim with also a 9mobile modem but the rate at which their data gets exhausted is appalling. Between Wednesday and Yesterday (Monday), 4.5GB data was exhausted without doing anything tangible on the internet but the data just keeps getting reduced at a very high rate even without loading a page or streaming any video. Between Saturday and Sunday alone, a data of 3GB was exhausted. Guys, please assist me. This is too much to bear. Help me. What can I do? |

hoyze24: Please each time I check returns on treasury bills, I see different levels for 91, 182 and 364 days. What's the major difference between these changes. From my knowledge, why invest for one year when I could get similar percentage in 91 days? Or are the 91 and 182 days percentages a division of what's obtainable annually? I need answers please. Thanks. the last sentence is the answer to your question. If the rate is 10% and you decided to invest for 91days which is three months, the profit will be divided by 4 and that's what your return will be |

Hello everyone!!!! I was at first Bank on Friday to invest in the secondary market but I didn't receive any alert so I came to the bank this morning and I was told that they were not able to verify that it seems they don't want people to be investing in T-bills again that there are a lot of rules guiding it now. How true is this please?? |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by crowntoro(f): 2:17pm On Oct 24, 2019 |
c3000: To be honest sir, the decision is yours. Secondary market stems from primary investors calling up funds and the financial institution swapping the remainder of the portfolios. Considering these are historical placements, the interests may be higher but expectedly, the bank will take its own margins, offer you yours and cancel off any costs of the swap.. so you may very marginally find it close to what current primary market rates are. Truth be told, banks are in it to make money and you have little choice but to take what you are given. So in answer to your question, when you see the rates and tenor, you will know.
And to your second question, call up FBank early in the morning by 10am and you will get a secondary rate for that day Thank you so much for this explicit response... I don't take it for granted. |

koonbey: Nobody responded because it's obvious you didn't do even basic reading to understand the nuances in what you're about to put money into.
In addition, you're asking what is "advisable" regarding something that's highly situation-dependent. No one here knows the details of your situation such as how much you want to invest, how long you intend to invest for, what your purpose for investment is etc... all of which are factors in determining what is advisable.
You're about to part with your hard-earned cash. The least you can do is thoroughly read and understand what you're entering.
In any case, enter "secondary market" into the Nairaland search bar and choose the "Investment" section. You'll see a long series of posts regarding secondary market investment and its pros and cons relative to primary market. you need to know that for me to even mention Primary and Secondary rates then it means I have an idea of what I want to invest into. I only came here to seek for people's opinion and it's not that I'm going to swallow it hook, line and sinker. The decision that I'm going to make still lies with me.. I have seen people come here to ask 'how do I invest in the primary market?' and people have answered them with nice responses and not a harsh one like the one you provided here trying to sound like one intellect. I think sometimes we need to do better as human beings. |

Frodd or Mike deserves to win because they both have the attributes of a winner while Frodd needs the money more than Mike because Mike is made already. On the other hand, Neither Omashola nor Mercy nor Seyi deserves to win because they do not have the attribute of a winner. Omashola is made already and he has achieved what he wants to achieve by coming to Big brother which is popularity. Mercy on the other hand, will only use the money to do body surgery and waste the money. Seyi is arrogant based on the history of his Grandfather, now imagine he wins the money, then I don't know what to expect from him.
In summary, Frodd or Mike for the money. Keep voting till your finger hurts |

The person that really needs the money is Frodd so I would prefer he wins and he has the attribute of a winner. Also, Mike can win too cos be has the attribute of a winner but he doesn't really need the money in my own opinion. |
