The relationship between the Nigerian Rapper, Odumodublvck and the England international and West ham United star, Declan Rice, seems to be graduating to a higher level as they both plan to link up for the first time.


The whole chemistry started few months back after rapper, Odumodublvck, released his hit single, (DECLAN RICE) which was titled with the name of the west ham star, Not only the hit song was tilted with the name of the footballer, but it lyrics was also largely influenced by the name, “DECLAN RICE”.

18-year-old,Spencer Pearson, repeatedly stabs his ex girlfriend, Madison Schemitz, 15 times before cutting his own throat.


18 year old crazed ex-boyfriend of a popular Florida high school softball star repeatedly stabbed his former partner before cutting his own throat in a desperate suicide bid, cops said.

According to the police, The grisly, broad-daylight assault in posh Ponte Vedra Beach near Jacksonville was interrupted only after a courageous good Samaritan spotted the barbaric attack and intervened.

Madison Schemitz, 17, a rising senior at Ponte Vedra High School, was eating at a restaurant Saturday with her mother, Jackie Roge, and friend Casey Estep when they spotted Spencer Pearson, a recent graduate of the school and a former football player.

According to reports, Schemitz had recently broken up with the 18-year-old and that he had since threatened her with violence.


Pearson’s threats grew so unnerving that Schemitz’s mother was in the process of obtaining a restraining order against him for her daughter’s safety.

“They were like, ‘Oh, we’ve got to go,’” Estep told First Coast News of their startled reaction to Pearson’s sudden appearance.

The party quickly paid their check and attempted to walk to their vehicle, but Pearson intercepted them and began stabbing both Schemitz and her mother.

Bystander Kennedy Armstrong, the 23 year old good Samaritan, was sitting in a parked car nearby when he suddenly heard loud screams.

The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has said he would make consultations with his wife and friends to determine whether or not to take up any appointment offer from President Bola Tinubu.

Wike, in an interview with BBC Pidgin, insisted that his wife and friends are the set of people he would first reach out to.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain who clarified that the President had yet to broach any such issue with him, however declared that he is not too big to serve the country.

However, Wike said he would want to rest for now, after serving as a governor for eight years.

According to him, “I’m going to rest; I have worked for eight years, so I’m going to rest.

“Tinubu has not informed me about getting an appointment; I’m not too big to serve my country, but he has never told me that he would give me an appointment.

EFCC arrests singer, ShalliPopi, 31 Others Arrested for Alleged Internet Fraud in Kaduna

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Command have arrested a popular musician on Tiktok, one Crown Uzama (aka ShalliPopi) and his manager, Ajayi Abdul Hafeez(aka 21 Badda) for alleged internet-related fraud.

The EFCC reported that they were arrested alongside 29 other suspects, including four females: Glory Chinyere Kelvin Ogunwa l, Tina Ochonogor, Favour Baba Dawa and Joseph Judith Iya.

The singer ShalliPopi is known for his viral hit track, Elon musk which he released few months back ft Zlatan Ibile on the recently released remix.


The hit song Elon musk on released went viral with it lyrics on TikTok and was being used by content creators to make trending short skit on the app.

Fuel subsidy removal: Any petrol station caught hoarding products will lose its landed property — Edo government warns


The Edo State Government has issued a warning to petrol dealers against hoarding of petroleum products, with a view to creating artificial scarcity and hiking off prices of the products.

This comes immediately as petrol queues reportedly resurface in filling stations following president Bola Tinubu removal of fuel subsidy on Monday, May 29.

According to a statement by Osaigbovo Iyoha, the Chief of Staff to Governor Godwin Obaseki, warned that any petrol station caught hoarding products would lead to revocation of its landed property.


“The attention of Edo State Government has been drawn to the unscrupulous attempt by petrol dealers in the state to hoard fuel and create artificial scarcity and price hike.

As a responsible government that cares for her citizens, we shall resist this economic sabotage by every legal means possible, he said.

Former Minister of petroleum, Diezani sues EFCC, AGF, demands N100billion as damages for defamation.

The former minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Alison- Madueke, has filed a defamation lawsuit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a series of publications by the commission alleging that she stole billions while in office.

The court document filed on May 26, and followed by CruzTvblognaija on Friday, said the anti-graft authority had authored several reports in a manner that portrayed the former official “as a common looter of the national wealth and a debased and corrupt public officer.

The publications are blatantly false and misleading,” she Isaid in the suit.

Mrs Alison-Madueke is the claimant and the EFCC is the sole respondent, while the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, is the second defendant in the suit.

The EFCC Boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa, had in May said that $153 million and over 80 properties had been recovered from Mrs Alison-Madueke.

Mrs Alison-Madueke is believed to have fled to the United Kingdom after leaving public office as the petroleum minister, a position she held between 2010 and 2015 under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

She is being investigated for money laundering in the UK, an investigation many anti-corruption activists have described as taking too long.

Meanwhile, in Nigeria, the EFCC has named her in various corruption trials while properties worth billions of naira have been seized from her. She has since filed several lawsuits against the anti-graft authority demanding the return of her assets, which were taken in non-conviction proceedings.

In the lawsuit, Mrs Alison-Madueke demanded the sum of N100 billion as damages against the EFCC for the false publications.
She had initially filed a lawsuit in January before the Federal High Court in Abuja to vacate an order obtained by the EFCC for final forfeiture of her seized assets.

FEDPOLY student reportedly took his life after losing his school fees to gambling

A student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Samuel Adegoke, on Monday has reportedly ended it after losing his school fees and that of his friend to online betting.

It was reported that the deceased reportedly used his school fee to play an online betting on Friday but lost. Adegoke, who was a National Diploma II student of Electrical Electronic Engineering, reportedly ended it all on Monday, when his colleagues were preparing for their first semester examinations.

According to reports, he swindled his friend who shared a room with him by getting his password and used his fee to play and also lost. It was gathered that the school had warned that no student would be allowed to take an exam without completing their registration.

Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom in Lagos and his wife Olori Sekinat on Wednesday clocked 20 years in their marriage.

The union which was instituted in 2003 has produced three daughters.

Speaking on their experience as husband and wife in two decades, the monarch said it has been joyous and full of love.

Afro beat singer Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has regained freedom.

This singer had reported to the Lagos Police Command headquarters after the Inspector-General of Police ordered his arrest for assaulting a policeman in Lagos.

Seun was subsequently detained at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) after a magistrate’s court in Lagos ordered his remand.


The police had sought to get an order to further keep him in custody for 21 days pending the conclusion of its investigation.

But then the court directed the police to detain Kuti for additional 48 hours and then release him on bail.

Just last Thursday, the magistrate extended the musician’s remand for additional four days to enable the police continue with its investigation.

She also ordered that his file be duplicated and sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and subsequently adjourned the trial till May 22.

The trial was, however, shifted to Tuesday.But the magistrates’ court failed to sit on Tuesday.

Source learnt that Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun who had been hearing the case, was away on a training.

The Home Secretary of the UK has stated that international students who travel to the country for study purposes will no longer be allowed to bring relatives by January 2024.

According to a statement on Tuesday, the Home Office said the development was necessary to stop people from using the student visa as a backdoor route to work in the UK.


“Last year almost half a million student visas were issued while the number of dependants of overseas students has increased by 750% since 2019, to 136,000 people,” the Home Office said.

The new reforms will come into effect for students starting in January next year. The government will however work with the higher education sector to explore alternative options to ensure the brightest & best students can continue to bring dependents when they study at the UK.

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has reportedly made $103 million on the first day of operation of his refinery.

The refinery, which is the largest in Africa, can process 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day. It is expected to help reduce Nigeria’s reliance on imported refined products and boost the country’s economy.


Dangote said that the refinery is already meeting its production targets and that it is on track to meet its total capacity by the end of the year. He also said that the refinery is expected to create over 30,000 jobs.

Failed Abuja CCTV project: Court orders Buhari govt to account for $460m Chinese loan


A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to answer for how a $460 million Chinese loan was used to fund the failed Abuja Closed-Circuit Television project.

The court said the government must publish the total amount of money paid to Chinese and local companies and contractors, precise details of the identities of the companies and contractors, and the status of the implementation of the project.

Hon. Judge Emeka Nwite issued the directives in his ruling in the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project’s FHC/ABJ/CS/1447/2019 Freedom of Information lawsuit.

The suit followed the disclosure in 2019 by the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, that “Nigeria was servicing the loan,” adding that she had ‘no explanations on the status of the project.’ She reportedly said, “We are servicing the loan. I have no information on the status of the CCTV project.”

According his judgement, Justice Nwite agreed with SERAP that “there is a reasonable cause of action against the government. Accounting for the spending of the $460 million Chinese loan is in the public’s interest. It will be inimical for the court to refuse SERAP’s application for judicial review of the government’s action.”

Also Justice Nwite said that “the Minister of Finance is in charge of the finances of the country and cannot by any stretch of imagination be oblivious of the amount of money paid to the contractors for the Abuja CCTV contract and the money meant for the construction of the headquarters of the Code of Conduct Bureau.”

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has accused the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, of demanding $2 million bribe from him.

He made the allegation amid the growing rift between the governor and the anti-graft agency.

In a statement on Wednesday, Matawalle called for Bawa’s resignation, saying he had questions to answer on corruption.

But the EFCC Chairman responded that he had nothing to hide and asked Matawalle to petition appropriate authorities if he had any evidence against him.

In an interview with BBC Hausa, Matawalle insisted that Bawa could not be trusted.

“It is not just to always blame governors. It is not only governors who have treasury, the federal government also has. What does the EFCC boss do to them? As he is claiming he has evidence on governors, let him show to the world evidence of those at the federal level.

A Federal High Court sitting in Kano, presided over by Justice M N Yunusa has nullified the candidature of the Abia State Governor-elect Dr Alex Otti and all the candidates of the Labour Party in Abia and Kano State.


The court ruled that their emergence was not in compliance with the provisions of the 2022 electoral act.

A copy of the judgement delivered by the court was obtained Friday morning by DAILY POST.

The Court in Suit No FHC/KN/CS/107/2023 filed by Mr Ibrahim Haruna Ibrahim against the Labour Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ruled that the failure of the Labour Party to submit its membership register to the INEC within 30 days before their primaries renders the process invalid.

“The party that has not complied with the provisions of the electoral act cannot be said to have candidate in an election and cannot be declared winner of an election; this being so, the votes credited to the 1st defendant is a wasted vote,” the Judge ruled. The candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the February 25 presidential election, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reportedly met with the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Paris, France.

It was gathered that the discussion primarily revolved around Kwankwaso’s potential involvement in the upcoming administration, as Tinubu plans to form a “government of national unity,” which entails allocating certain positions to opposition parties.

Two staff of the United States Consulate in Nigeria were murdered and their bodies set ablaze by unknown gunmen in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State today May 16

The US consulate staff were in the area for humanitarian work when they were attacked by the assailants who also killed two PMF (Police Mobile Force) operatives.


The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed this in a statement released. The statement reads in part:
