This is also an under-stated fact.
Most if not all Universities in Nigeria has significant numbers of Igbos. After the ethnic indigenes of those schools, igbo sub-groups usually make the second largest group of students virtually in most universities in Nigeria.

The southwest were once the top in education but as at today, the Igbos are the most educated in Nigeria. From statistics by Waec, Neco to NBS education statistics. Latest report by the NBS shows that Imo state is the most educated state in Nigeria. Delta and Anambra follows.

Imo state is by far the most literate state in Nigeria and also with the highest number of professors.

The people in football are the best we have. They play at relatively highest level for Nigerians currently in football. Ignoring federal character is the obvious move here to maximize our best pool.

The people buhari trusts are not the most educated, the most technical or an authority in their fields.

OBJ was not a friend of the south west and he won without their votes. Which is why the SW was in opposition all through OBJ and even yar'adua tenures. We can't forget how OBJ dealt with tinubu.
The north just needed a southern bloc to win. It could as well be the south-east or the south-south.
As long as a candidate get northern support including the middle-belt, any southern bloc is enough. It dosen't have to be the SW.
