Just imagine if just 10% of this money is invested on a programming tournament for the next Nigerian hackers, or a robotics challenge for university students. The ripple effect would be massive . Nigerian companies are behaving as if Nigeria is America where they can afford shows like this. They forgot that the funds the US invests on R&D from both private and public sector in a year dwarfs Nigeria's foreign reserves. Nigeria is not a First World country. We cannot afford to spend 45 million on a group of idiots whose productivity is sex. |
That "Americanah" book is turning out to be her most successful book even more than "half of a yellow sun". A very rare phenomenon, since most great authors including the great achebe strike gold from their very first book and then decline. I don't know if it is because of the title, or the fact that chimamanda is now a reknown writer, the book just resonated across America and the western world in an unprecedented manner . Anyway, I believe she deserves a Nobel Prize for not just her outstanding literary achievement, but also because she is a leader of thought for millions of women around the world, most notably Beyonce. |
Brilliant. Easy mobility and enough availability. This would save a lot of lives. |
I don't think she would care. When youthful swag and mature class met, maturity wins most times. Look at this old man dressing like an adolescent. Nina is smart enough to at least recognize something better which was why she hopped on the next train. Miracle Igbokwe trumps this guy hands down. |
The ideal girl friend. The sex would be good, but you know she has given you no good reason or obligations to marry her. |
PrimadonnaO:na, she is a hoe. Any experienced guy can tell. What do you call a young lady with parents who is busy cohabiting with an animal like Davido ? -An Evangelist? |
No big deal. She is not different from most women. How many Nigerian men can claim they met their wives as virgins? |
I get constant sex from a very beautiful friend of mine. Why exactly do I need a relationship? |
But some men can be dumb o. Some guys on nairalsnd actually believe that your lover's phone is beyond bounds? For this era? Even husbands are advised to check the paternity of their children, let alone one hustling guy still playing the boyfriend-girlfriend game. I have learnt a lot from personal experience. She won't even know that I checked her phone. |
That is a fact. The Chinese are colonizing Africa enmass in ways the US would never dare to think of. |
MissRaine69:says who? A girl that is sexually chaste and one who has being around the block many times -who among them naturally has the better moral character? The answer is clear. Of course, there are rare exceptions. |
Jethrolite:If there is anybody more loose, that would be terrible. Only full blown prostitutes are that loose. The guy she is currently banging is not her boyfriend. She came, saw a fine boy and started banging at the drop of a hat. Others had to conform too so as not to get voted out for being dull. |
I want to see what becomes of Nina after the show. That is the only thing I am looking out for in the Bbn. And it is not just because She had sex which is nothing really nowadays, afterall sex is no big deal. Her looseness and tendency to quickly "remove pants" on live TV on the other hand is what is shocking. She had already banged miracle many times ,before others even started their own. The poor guy that would wife that girl must really be something. He must not work far from home ,and All his friends had better be ugly, else She would bang the living daylights out of them. |
ShadowFighter:There is nothing overhyped about the isi-agu, you ignoramus. It is an emblem of a sophisticated culture. If you are looking for an overhyped piece of shitt, Look no further than the agbada. Its superflousness is tacky and ridiculous, a man wearing a piece of bed sheets that can serve two houses. And its proliferation across western Africa makes it over-used. |
Rangojack:That is the problem. Engineers corpers work as teachers. And there is no way you can expect to be paid as much as people who work in a hospital. If the FG starts posting engineers to oil firms, refineries and food manufacturing companies, doctors salaries will no longer look special. The main solution is to stop posting graduate engineers to public schools. |
ConcernedNL:Anybody that have not seen Yoruba tribalism must not be a Nigerian. You are tribalists. Even your awolowo as educated as he was,was a staunch tribalist. How much more an ignoramus like you. Abeg dey go. |
ConcernedNL:Now you don't care what igbos do. I will remind you when I catch you talking about igbo tribalism. |
Born2Breed:You don't need to get emotional. The consequences will begin when other states get a wind of this. It is only a matter of time. Yorubas are the majority in the oil sector, I am sure the niger-deltans will welcome this policy in their states. The precedence is already there. |
ConcernedNL:But when igbos do the same, it is archaic and tribalistic? Nice |
It should be replicated across the country. State govts should employ only those with credits in their state's indigenous languages. I also expect the local content initiative especially in the oil sector to be driven by state policy, I. E ,only someone who can speak any language from delta state should work in the state in any sector. That is the end product I foresee, which may be even be a blessing in disguise. Though, i expect these yoruba tribalists to later accuse others of tribalism when the consequences begin. Awolowo introduced tribalism into Nigeria., while his people today accuse others of tribalism because others like the igbos, can now beat them to the game. |
It is a shame that conte is still Proving me right. Inept manager. Makes it worse by his arrogance. |
Throwback:You are laughable. You had to write an epistle because of what? on top woman matter? Na which kind woman dey marry mumu men like una? I am certain there are far more igbo men married to Yoruba woman in Lagos than vice-versa given the Igbo man penchant for anything new. And when we do, we marry the crème de la crème of yorubaland. We don't glory about it though because it is not encouraged . Igbo men don't go for any ordinary shade or Funke like Yoruba men go for any average Igbo mgebke that happens to be yellow. WE go for the best . YOu can ask Peter okoye or OC okeje or the thousands of Yoruba women who have upgraded to Igbo men after Suffering from the hands of Dogs. We take care of our wives and they love us. Igbo men are the supreme husbands. That is a known Nigerian fact. We Don't jump from woman to woman because we have a few thousand in the account. We don't blow our children school fees on asoebi and easy women like Yoruba demons do. We are not demons, we are men. And Yoruba women like Lola okoye knows that. |
Throwback:Here comes another one. JUst because Yoruba men have been allowed to marry a tiny fraction of Igbo women in LAGOS, you start making grandiose statements. IF you were smart, you would have realized that children tends more to the mother side than their fathers. THere are lots of Igbo men married to Yoruba women in Lagos, but that is nothing to be proud of. BTW, who is more chauvinistic- is it the average Igbo man that takes care of his only wife or the average Yoruba man that starts philandering after he makes his first million?. |
But miracle is Igbo Na . And he is the baddest guy there. Anyway it is a case of majority population bias The show is based for Lagos population. And obviously the vast majority would be Yoruba men and Igbo women who are obviously in for anything with money and happen to be prettier on average than the indigenous Yoruba population. TAke the show to the east and i doubt if the demographics will be the same . |
Odkosh:Na only una get Na. continue. You people will still complain of the future consequence. |
Slaye:He does obviously. Women don't like men that takes the cynosure of attraction from them. The guy is finner than even his own wife by a long mile. |
They have started another policy again that may set NIgeria back ,by the time other regions retaliate . That was how awolowo introduced tribalism into Nigeria and set a chain of retrogression that we have not recovered from. I expect other regions to retaliate in double foldwhen they get to know. The oil States for example could simply ban yorubas from working in the oil sector. I am sure the yorubas will later accuse them of tribalism when the consequences begin. It is not who begins a fight that wins. |
jagorinho:His celebration style is not what is in question. Players celebrate in their own unique way. It doesn't affect their qualitty. I don't care about his celebration. I care about his goal-stopping ability. |
jagorinho:He cost you a win in yaounde by going for a 50-50 ball scenario after your defenders floped. I hope you know cameroon have not lost at home for a very long time. Ezenwa made saves after saves in that game. If a single mistake means he is not good, then which keeper is good in world football? |
jagorinho:Ezenwa was attending an interntional tournament for the first time in ghana, while Ajiboye was already an international veteran. If Ajiboye was so good, we would not be begging for Enyeama to come back. He would have taken Ezenwa's place in the qualifiers. Ezenwa is not world class, but he has more talent and charisma than Ajiboye will ever have. |
jagorinho:Ezenwa did not bring your far in the qualifiers? Really? In that group of death? You need help. |
jagorinho:Ezenwa has faced tougher oppositions during the world cup qualifiers. Don't forget Ezenwa brought the team this far in the competition. This whole team was poor, agreed. But Ajiboye is not better than Ezenwa based on his own individual performance. |
