The point of my post was refute the position of the previous individual that Russia have more nuclear capability because they have more nuclear warheads.

I went beyond pointing out that, that assumption is wrong to also prove that US have more capabilities.

I also mentioned in my post that, when it come to Nuclear war, more is not better and does not mean more superior, which is the same position you are taking above….hence the US is intentionally destroying their nuclear warheads.

China only has 200-300 nukes.

Nigeria can send ships to the South China Sea and the black sea, both of which are international waters.

That is due to the presence of America on those Waters.

If America was not there, Russia and China would have claimed those Waters as their sovereign territories.

China is claiming territories in the Philippines, Japan, Korea, India and and the South China Sea.

It is like Nigeria claiming the entire gulf of guinea.

We need US presence in those regions to enforce international waters, right of navigation, and a rules based order.

If the US don't do it, the world is fucckked.

The thing is US is playing a game of "containment" with Russia and china.

It is never going to be an invasion, it is more like a boundary enforcement.

They are trying to restrict those nations to their borders and prevent them from undue expansion.

Take away US presence from the South China Sea, the black sea and eastern Europe, and China and Russia would grow uncontrollably swallowing all their neighbours in their wake.

I think what you intended on saying is that Russia has more Nuclear warheads than the US....having more Nuclear heads is different from having more Nuclear Capability. Also, you forgot to mention that, the continual decrease in USA Nuclear warheads are intentional and they are in a part with Russia to continue to decrease the numbers....when it comes to Nuclear weapons, more is not better or superior, capabilities matters.

The bulk of Russian Nuclear warheads includes active and inactive warheads assigned to military delivery vehicles, plus warheads waiting to be disabled.

The US have more strategically deployed Nuclear Warheads compare to Russia, these includes warheads already mounted on ballistic missiles ready to go; warheads already stationed on different US bombers, US Navy ships, etc....many of these right at Russia's backyard in Europe.

Nuclear weapons are not like conventional missiles.

Just 10 heavy capable Russian nukes are enough to wipe the bulk of human civilisation.

Russia has enough ICBMS that are ready on a moment notice.

And their submarines are on the high seas ready to issue a second strike.

That is enough deterrence.
