It did not start today and won't end tommorow. This same scenario plays out in almost all sector.
For instance, most Universitie lacks the required man power to run the institution. When ever NUC comes for accreditation or to supervise a department, they University management will go ahead to hire Professors and qualified Lecturers from other departments or institutions to fill in the gap. And thus deceiving NUC. And once NUC leaves, things goes back to default.
I remember vividly when NUC came to my School during my Undergraduate days to accredit a particular course, the University management carved out a particular spot in the School Library and arranged them with books which they borrowed from the same library. This spot was reserved for the new department. NUC officials came but where deceived.
Unemployment should have been minimized, should all government agencies conduct genuine employment. |

Our correspondent Chimelum Ajanma who pictured the scenerio said the accident was really tragic, security personnels were present at the scene to safeguard the goods.. The J-5 was actually conveying Cola nut and red oil. And casualties were actually three; the driver, the conductor and the woman who owns the goods. The conductor died at the spot, while the driver and woman were badly injured and their chance of survival is very slim. Luckily, the market( Aluminum International Market) where the accident occured was not open. The accident occurred around 6 o'clock in the morning. The cause of the accident was either over speeding or the driver falling asleep. |

#60k in three months, about $ 165 in 3 month; with all the natural resources available. And at the end, this will be listed as an achievement.
Meanwhile, Switzerland is about implementing a minimum wage of about $3500 a month and they have no natural resources compare to Nigeria. Sometimes I wonder from which part of "evil" especially those governing are from? |

Let me begin with: 1. Availability of natural president.( not resources) One dies and another is provided immediately that even the citizens won't notice because of the speed of replacement.
2. That the country is not void of reasonable people who keep on demanding for a better nation.
3. That we are blessed with public office holders who have great talent in acting. You probe them and they faint on national T.V. |

EzzyCarter: Well, In no particular order:
1. Nigerian women: What's there not like about our Naija babes? with their zero entitlement mentality and the fact that they are loyal to their man even when things aren't good. Even if millionaires are hitting on her , she'll still stand by you...When you compare Naija girls to their counterparts in other countries, Naija girls come first in brains, beauty, intellect and manners
2. Nigerian government: Oh, my country is blessed with proactive, sensitive, kind, morally just and highly responsible leaders who have the interest of their citizens at heart. They make promises and make sure they fulfil them...Little wonder our country is amongst the most fulfilled and enviable nations of the world.
3: Nigerian Citizens: Wow, Nigerian citizens are responsible, kind and so loving to each other, in fact the sense of brotherhood is incredible. Each tribe treats the other with much love and respect. Indeed we've got each other covered for life . Some notable sensible Nigerins I've met on this platform include A.rrewa, and the likes. These guys deserve a national award for their intellect and staunch patriotism ...
By the way , God bless Naija 60 years of bliss and prosperity |

Fellow Nigerians, Northeners
I speak to you today as your President
"Our founding fathers understood the imperative of structuring a National identity using the power of the state and worked towards unification of Nigerians in a politically stable and viable entity".
But you are busy tearing the country apart by your loopside appointment. Nothing causes much disunity than nepotism and favouritism.
"It has been demonstrated time and time again that Nigerians in the diaspora frequently excel in science, technology, medicine, sports, arts and many other fields."
