Evilthoughts:
Some African leaders are doing that but you just refuse to notice it. That includes Tinubu with his reforms that have brought temporary pain. In future you'll thank him when we displace South Africa from our rightful crown as African big economy and developed country. You will not see Nigerians immigrating just like the South Africans because Nigerians will have all the things that they need in our country. We just need to be patient and work and support the president. Rome wasn't built in a day .
Be deceiving yourself, you hear?

Nobody is refusing to see anything.

If it’s there, it will be glaring for all to see.

Continue deceiving yourself and your likes.

Your crown and your life will be like Nigeria under tinubu…Amen

you can’t put class, elegance and intelligence in the same sentence with APC or Tinubu’s government.

Rather, they are synonymous with agberoism.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Aide Slams Obi: “Blatant Distortion” Of Nigeria's Debt by cucumbar: 2:34am On Jul 09, 2025
TimeManager:
A heated political debate has erupted over claims by former presidential candidate Peter Obi regarding Nigeria’s mounting debt under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The controversy, ignited by Obi’s assertion that Tinubu borrowed more than his predecessors—Yar’Adua, Jonathan, and Buhari—combined.

This has drawn sharp rebuttals, with the Debt Management Office (DMO) data at the center of the storm.

On July 7, 2025, a post on X by President Tinubu’s aide, Daniel Bwala, Obi’s claim is a “blatant distortion.” Bwala cited DMO figures, stating, “Naira debt rose from ₦87tn (2023) to ₦149tn (Q1 2025) due to devaluation, while USD debt fell from $113bn to $97bn—a net repayment.” He accused Obi of “classic misinformation for political points, preying on uninformed followers,” and directed readers to grok.com for further analysis.

The claim has sparked a broader discussion on Nigeria’s debt dynamics. A Punch newspaper analysis supports the currency impact, noting,

[b]“Naira devaluation raised Nigeria’s external debt by about ₦30.03tn between 2023 and June 2024,” despite a $258.18m USD reduction. This is said to align with the World Bank’s International Debt Report, which highlighted a 30% surge in interest payments to $406bn for developing nations, driven by high global rates.

“Multilateral institutions have become the last lifeline for poor economies struggling to balance debt payments with spending on health, education, and other key development priorities,” said World Bank Chief Economist Indermit Gill, as reported by Punch.

Let Peter Obi contest alone in 2027 without coalition to test his popularity.

The 6 million votes he got was deliberate so that not to allow Atiku to have the edge. But if you guys are still confuse about that, let Peter Obi contest again under LP to check his popularity
Oh, the 6m votes was deliberate, meaning that the figures were manipulated by INEC right?

You need to explain more. Seems you know what we don’t know.

They have started again this early morning ndi uchu. Is only a foolish man that blames others for his misfortune. Association of failed politicians. I can't wait for next year they will conduct their primaries, I want to check something. Their only agenda is to remove tinubu not to work for Nigerians. Even the most corrupt among them is saying that he will fight corruption. Ndi ara.
😁 Let them remove him first, then we will talk about them working for Nigerians or not.

No government can be as inept as Tinubu’s government.

You can take that to the Bank of the North.😁

Welcome2Lagos:
Hello Nairalanders,

Oshodi is always alive — a melting pot of people, hustle, noise, and energy. I recently passed through and took a few snapshots that I believe capture a glimpse of this ever-busy part of Lagos.

The busy streets, market hustle, yellow buses, and the everyday Lagos vibe. Can’t upload everything here (Nairaland has limits).

📸 No fancy edits. Just Lagos as it is.

What about you?

•When last did you pass through Oshodi?
•What’s one thing you’ll never forget about that area?
•Has Oshodi changed for better or worse?

Drop your thoughts 👇
let’s continue celebrating mediocrity.

You'd be better served trying to gain more knowledge, to have a deeper understanding of issues. Your opinion, outlook and personal situation are not the only ones that exist or to deem superior ro that of all others.

One of the biggest issues with Nigeria is generational poverty that affects everything beginning from how useful an individual can be delivering solutions for himself, his community and nation.

If we hosted the right system that drastically reduces generational poverty then Nigeria would have more solutions providers, from the vast population of ordinary Nigerians, in Agriculture and food sufficiency, STEM (science, technology, Engineering and mathematics) , capacity to manufacture and produce majority of what we need and even exportable surplus etc, etc, etc.

If Nigeria is to break the cycle of generational poverty crippling our nation, enduring for decades now because of the wrong and politically expedient approaches previous governments have taken, then reforms, that cause challenges like inflation etal, cannot be avoided for the sake of securing a much brighter future for ourselves and generations unborn.

There is clear, logically valid and macro-economically sound case for the reforms The PBAT government has initiated and how unavoidable they are for a sincere Government that is committed to doing what is in the best interest of Nigerians who will begin to benefit greatly from the reforms in 2 to 10 years from now.

If you could comfortably say Nigeria is recovering with this damage Apc and Tinubu is doing,by borrowing, and increased taxing and nothing to show, then you are definitely not okay upstairs.. You claim persons are doing well, and you failed to highlight many who were doing well before Apc,and can't even feed well now as we speak. You forgot that not everyone can be pushing drugs, involving themselves in shady deals, politics to steal and all of that . How many legit hustlers are currently comfortable in this administration?

PoliticsRe: Seven Coalition Leaders Interested In Tinubu’s Seat – Ex-ADC Chair by cucumbar: 7:08pm On Jul 06, 2025
eazzzy1:
If Atiku gets it, the obidients won’t support the coalition. Majority of the people who voted Obi did so because they wanted a Christian president or a younger president. So more than half of his votes wouldn’t go to Atiku.

If Obi gets it, Atiku will go back to Dubai and stop insulting his friend Tinubu. Most northern leaders wouldn’t put in the effort to support the coalition. Some people think Obi did well in 2023 because he was underestimated and basically ran unopposed. APC and PDP were so focused on each other. This wouldn’t happen in 2027.

All pointers indicates Obi will get the ticket. The chairman of the party is a Northerner. All major southern candidates have insisted on power remaining south. I think Atiku will chill for now and promise to do one term in 2031.

Either ways, non of them can defeat the incumbent. Obi isn’t popular in the North and Atiku’s Northern influence is overrated. He’s ran thrice and he failed in the North all three times. Without the PDP platform he may not be able to get 3m votes in an election.
Gutter analysis.

Be consoling yourself. If Obi gets that ticket, your criminal lord is gone.

He didn’t win that election in 2023.

Except you tell me why they turned off BVAS.

Donbrig:
Banks will always discourage you from investing in instuments that won't favour them much....

Banks makes their billions of profits from two major sources, DEAD CITIZENS AND NIGERIANS FINANCIAL IGNORANCE.

1) Dead citizens with huge funds in their bank accounts is a big boost for our banks in Nigeria, considering the high mortality rate in Nigeria at the moment.. Our banks makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for the families of a deceased person to access his/her money in their bank. Considering the fact that most Nigerians are very secretive with their state of finance, even to their immediate families. About 60% of the funds in our banks (Old generational banks in particular) are owned by dead citizens, whose families can no longer access these funds. Government should do more and pass effective laws that allows banks to release funds of dead citizens without frustrating their families to abandon the funds in their banks.

2) Nigerians Financial Ignorance: This one is self explanatory, in fact, the more you are ignorant about financial investments, the more billions of profits our banks would declare every year, despite their terrible networks and services. Going to banks to make enquiries on how to invest your money wisely is not a smart move, always do your financial research and educate yourself properly, and go to your bank and confidently tell them how you want to invest your hard-earned money in their possession.
Don brigs, who have been feeding you with that rubbish you wrote up there about dead people and banks ?

How many times will you repete this..you just like making noise, reminding us time and time again how shallow you are.

The British Monarch have a French Heritage, at a stage the language of the Noble in England is French, do you still call them French today, or do you translate that to mean the French have taken over England.

Kwara is a multi Ethinic state with Yoruba as the Dominant tribe. The culture in Kwara today is heavily influenced by Islam and the Yorubas..Yes Ilorin the capital City have a royal family with Fulani Heritage. But there are also other Royal families in the state with no Fulani Heritage.

So it is babyish to remind us everytime you get data how the Fulanis have taken over Kwara.

Kwara is a North Central state with a Yoruba/Muslim Dominant population, this is in contrast to Kogi state where the Dominant tribe is Igalas and Yorubas are a major minority group..Ibos are there too as a minor minority.
Dey play …. Thank God you said the CAPITAL have a royal family with Fulani heritage… the others are inconsequential.

The guy you mentioned is saying the truth.

Even the Yorubas in kwara want to be Fulani.

Keep putting your head in the sands like the ostrich.

Kwara don go!
