President Bola Tinubu is on a state visit to the UK and as with all such state visits, the military parades and pomp and circumstance will take center stage.

However, the visit is not only about ceremonies. Major new investment will flow between Nigeria and the UK.

The UK will invest £746 million in expanding and upgrading the Apapa and Tin Can Island ports, Twinings Ovaltine will open a £24 million factory in Lagos and many other such investments will be announced or signed during the visit.

Nigerian companies like Zenith Bank, Moniepoint and Ebony Life are also investing in the UK.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday attacked Sabon Gyero community in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing one person and abducting seven others.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the attackers stormed the community in large numbers in the early hours, breaking into a residence and abducting three women and four children.

During the raid, the bandits were said to have also attacked a phone charging centre, where they shot and killed a young man identified as Abdullahi Lawal, popularly known as “Kurma.” Lawal, who was deaf and dumb, reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to a hospital but died before reaching medical care.

Sources in the community said the assailants also stole several mobile phones and laptops from the charging centre before fleeing the scene. The deceased was later buried in the community in accordance with Islamic rites.Reacting to the attack, the Commandant of the Joint Task Force in the area, Uwaisu Yunusa, told our correspondent that the operatives responded promptly after hearing gunshots.

“Our men heard gunshots and quickly moved to the area. We tried to pursue the attackers, but they had already escaped before our arrival,” he said.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force had not yet issued an official statement on the incident.

But the visa details on tracker site indicates its to the end of passport validity. You know, the tracker site shows visa details such as number and validity. Infact, it’s from this details that some know they've been issued visa even before receiving PPR letter.

Self-application with following usual documents:

-Detailed cover letter explaining why hubby initially said he'll be travelling alone but now, after getting his visa, wife is applying to travel with him (this gave some concerns during the application but relieved it didn't work against the application).
