When they say 2, multiply it by 50. That’s the actual number of people that must’ve been killed.

Ribadu must hear this.

Wow thanks for this, how was the experience on the ship, no racism or abuse whatever towards you been African?
Noting like racism … there were few blacks there though.

It was a pleasant experience, very fun too.

The food was great, the staff were pleasant.

I went with celestyal cruises, on their celestyal discovery ship.

There are many other cruise companies you can choose from.

Yes, I booked the cruise from Nigeria.

I got a Schengen visa.

It was a four days cruise of the Greek islands and turkey. We visited Mykonos, Heraklion , pathmos , Santorini and then Kusadasi in turkey .

Last year September, I finally ticked Turkey off my bucket list. I’m a Nigerian women from Port Harcourt, and I had been saving for almost a year for this trip. My main goal was to explore Istanbul and taste their food I always saw on YouTube.

The visa process was not too stressful because I applied early. I booked a cheap Airbnb near Sultanahmet Square so I could walk to most tourist spots.

On my first morning, I visited the Blue Mosque, architecture is out of this world. Then I got lost in the Grand Bazaar (and I didn’t mind at all 😅). I bought a handmade scarf for my mum and some Turkish delights that almost finished before I came back.

My favorite part of the trip was the Bosphorus cruise at sunset. Sitting on the deck, watching the city lights reflect on the water, and hearing the call to prayer in the background… it felt magical.

One funny thing is "a shop owner thought I was from Brazil until I told him I was Nigerian". He smiled and said, “Nigeria... Good football” 😂

Honestly, Istanbul is a place I would visit again. If you love history, food, and shopping, just go. You won’t regret it.
Omo, no try am.

Turkey is very beautiful… one of the countries I have been to am will visit again .

What if you went to Cappadocia and Antalya? Oh my gawwd!

No no no… no just talk am again.

I think the whole of the Mediterranean have that vibe.

Just returned from Greece less than a month ago.

Visited about 5 island on a cruise ship.

Greek islands are to die for, especially Santorini.

He's throwing stones at himself, he increased poverty in Anambra when he was Governor. He left them poorer than he met them. Your media chochocho keeps demarketing you and exposing your hypocrisy.
And no reasonable person with a working common sense will cite the present Argentina as an example. Millei recently borrowed $20billion from world bank, imagine Tinubu borrowing that kind of money, it is hypocrite like Obi that will carry vuvuzela blowing it to the world, but same person is praising Millei. As at today, Argentina is one of the most expensive countries in Latin America with one of the lowest purchasing power. Trash!

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Government ‘100 Times’ Better Than Tinubu’s – Amaechi by cucumbar: 2:15pm On Aug 10, 2025
WizardOfNG:
Absolutely. Amaechi is hghly and condemnably irresponsible in both words and action. A total disaster.

I've lived away from Nigeria for many years starting from early teens so I've been influenced by other nations.

It is returning to Nigeria and formally engaging in business ownership that has shown me Nigeria is the worst nation in the world per those totally unfit for political and public administration leadership gaining important positions.

Look at UK politics for example. Keir Starmer is a fitting Prime Minister who deserves office from being a dogged, ever present and valiant leader of the Labour Party who led them to victory because he was always available to espouse the merits of the Party and reiterate the need for the British people to vote Labour.

Atiku, after losing election, returns to Dubai and totally abandons/neglects the affair of the political Party he ran on to then show up four years latter demanding to be President. How can any sane and fairly politically sophisticated Nigerian vote for such a character who'd be viewed a caricature, aberration and joke in British and European politics?

In fact, Atiku is a tragic reminder of how politically unsophisticated, to their own detriment, most Nigerians are.

I want honest people, whoever they support, to really reflect on issues and point to any Politician who wants to be President in 2027, other than Tinubu, who practices Party politics as Starmer and his peers in the West do.

Tinubu is always exemplarily available working hard relentlessly and dedicately for any Party he has built and helping such reach the apex of Nigerian politics be it ACN or APC.

He gives his all demonstrating always, as an example of desirable world best practice , what fit and proper political leaders , who should be in charge of the lives of an electorate , must be about.

Even Datti Baba Ahmed recently praised Tinubu's special and unique quality of building his ambition to be President over decades of loyalty and devotion to sacrificing for others selflessly and doing the right thing always by his political Party and affiliates.

He warned ADC they would fail if they do not have leaders whose main interests are genuinely about what is best for Nigeria and can sacrifice for her greater good as Tinubu has consistently done.

From Atiku, Aregbe, El Rufai, Malami, Babachir Lawal and Obi to Ameachi etal, they are all disloyal and desperate opportunist jumping ship in pursuit of selfish ambitions to then be attacking the political Party they have departed yet previously swore was the best to deliver Nigeria.

It is nauseating and saddening to watch as an exposed individual. I.e the lack of principles and enduring political ideology by so many politicians bar a few like PBAT, Bode George, Ken Nnamani etal.

If I had the power of God, I'd simply instil requisite political sophistication in every Nigerian adult, so they can see what truly matters , because I believe that is what Nigeria needs, more than anything else, to become truly great.
I’m not sure those other nations shaped you well, that is, if you have truely lived outside Nigeria.

If they did, you won’t be here supporting this failure of a government.

It is abnormal.

yemre:
Of course there is freedom of speech but it has to be with an open mind. This is a credit scheme targeted at the youth to encourage productivity.

For crying out loud, we all know that an average fresh graduate has potentials, has ideas on what to do even while going into the labour market.

It has never happened in this country before, for a government to unveil a single -digit credit scheme and extend it to the youth corp members without collateral or guarantor.

It is also a known fact that the number of qualified graduates far outweighs the available jobs and I can tell you for free that majority of these people have one skill or the other that can actually help them achieve their dreams.

Now that the government has realized this and come up with a solution, the first thing somebody could say is "the government is about loans, loans, loans!".

That is unfair.

If he was a fresh graduate and has a skill that he just needs a little push to start something, he wouldn't say that.

You don't have to discredit every effort of the government. If there are things that are yet undone, call their attention to those things and make separate cases for them.

Thank you
All this talk ontop 200k loan.

Well, I’m glad you have appropriately spelt what you are. That shows you know you are one.😁

Nairaland GeneralRe: How Do I Stop Caring About What People Say About Me by cucumbar: 6:40pm On Jul 26, 2025
emkz:
By showing that things don't get to you.

Before you engage some people, give it time, and do not jump to prove yourself to anyone.

That is where many people miss it.

Here on Nairaland, I used to mistake and respond to some fellows. After baiting you with insults, they'd now report you to the moderators, and you'd earn a ban. When I realized the game, I told myself that someone at my level or better than me would not insult me. It is only those who are below and feel inadequate who say nasty things about others. There was one case where someone was attacking me. I realized later that the person had personal struggles of depression and petulant behavioural disorder. It doesn't reflect on you; it reflects on them. So disengage so you don't put yourself under their power.

Instead of engaging, see them as those not doing enough and need validation from your acknowledgement of their insults. Withdraw that acknowledgement and watch them frustrated. Their frustration is your victory.

Finally, read books on mind control and meditation. It would help you take control of your thoughts. Please never let anyone provoke you with insults. Someone insulted me, threatened me that I'd be fired and said all sorts. All he wanted was a fight to claim assault. I was within my rights to punch him. But punch him hard and he hits the back of his head on a hard surface and blood follows. You'd be held in prison. So before you allow any fellow push you to react because of the things they say, picture yourself in prison uniform. Then ask yourself if you want to ruin your life for a nobody.

PS: Please invest in yourself. Dress neatly and well. When you are walking, raise your head up and walk as if you own the environment. When you talk to people, maintain eye contact. Think of the times you won things for yourself and proved yourself right, not when you proved others wrong. You are not existing to prove them wrong, but to prove yourself right. Avoid ever capitulating to those saying nasty things because you want them to stop. Just use silence as your weapon, and that would break them. In other words, learn not to send anybody papa. Use these strategies for yourself and it would evoke a strong feeling of confidence and security.
See this one Dey talk like person wey get sense.

Na only riff rafts Dey support APC.

You are not better than anyone .
