You assume anyone supporting Tinubu had to have collected something or expecting something?

But that’s not true! We at some point will come to a realisation that Nigeria had been bedevilled with difficult challenges that will take sometime to fix. I’m not saying he is perfect, but there is no other way he could have handled the economy considering where we were!

For me I think the coastal road is necessary, but he should have focused on other projects first especially healthcare and Education.

Having said that, every government comes in with their legacy project, what they want to be remembered for, maybe that is Bola Tinubu’s. But to say he should have focused on alleviating the sufferings of Nigeria is nonsense cos we must at some point pay painfully for the decades of subsidy we enjoyed and wasted for years! And the best time was 2023, in fact we had come to the end of the wall! We had no other way to go!

Nigeria could no longer settle its forex obligations, we were borrowing to pay salaries so there isn’t any talk about infrastructure. Nigeria was truly at the verge of collapsing! And the pain you are seeing today is as a result of removal of subsidies (petrol and forex).
If not for the war in the middle east things were beginning to ease!

As per security, i think we all know the problem in the North are the Northern elites, and you can’t help who doesn’t want to be helped.

First these states have governors, why is no one asking what the governors are doing?
Second, the ministers of defence are northerners, NSA is a northerner, 2 of the 4 service chiefs are northerners. Why can’t they fight tooth and nail to save their region? What else do you expect Tinubu to do? Carry gun?
Does it look like this government is working on making anything better or you are blind and deaf ?

This is the viral video that has the entire Nigerian internet in stitches right now! 😂

In this hilarious clip, a passionate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu supporter, seated comfortably in her wheelchair, is being pushed through a sleek modern indoor walkway (looks like a high-end mall or airport terminal). While casually chatting and gesturing with full energy, she drops what has now become one of the most quoted lines in Nigerian political comedy:

“I want to lie down on President Tinubu’s mandate because my leg is paining!”
She says it with so much conviction and zero hesitation — a next-level twist on the famous APC campaign chant “On your mandate we shall stand!”

The video starts with her being wheeled along, smiling and talking excitedly to the person pushing her. It then cuts to a close-up selfie-style shot where another lady in the group is beaming at the camera, clearly hyping the moment and enjoying the vibes. The whole thing feels like pure, unfiltered Naija fan energy mixed with comedy gold.

This clip perfectly captures how some supporters take loyalty to the absolute next dimension. From “stand on the mandate” to “lie down on the mandate” — the internet is calling it the most creative political rebrand of 2026! Whether you’re a die-hard Tinubu supporter, an opposition fan, or just here for the laughs, this video is blowing up for a reason.
Hehehe 😁 after laying on his mandate what next , hippopotamus?

Hello everyone, I planned to move to rwanda as a Nigerian family of four currently living in Kenya. I don't want to move blindly without knowing how things works and fees of some required permits.

I recently checked the Rwanda website to confirm the prices, but noticed I have to be in the country before I can even access those pages.
What's the best way to settle down in Rwanda as someone who work legally remotely? I am actually looking forward to going to business. What's the price of the permit to get a business permit? How easy is it? What are the proces? Do I need to get a shop before applying for the permit? Do I have to wait for 3 months before I can apply for the permit? If I go for business permit? My remaining family would become my dependant.

What permit would they need? How much would it cost?

Overall, how good is Rwanda to family?
why are you moving?

IslamRe: Islam Stands Against Racism And Tribalism! by cucumbar: 11:04am On Mar 27
Rashduct4luv:
Islam Stands Against Racism and Tribalism: A Call for Unity and True Brotherhood upon Truth!
It is deeply painful to witness racism and tribalism manifesting within the Muslim community, especially when a Black Muslim brother faces hateful slurs and his Egyptian wife is shamed simply because of their racial and ethnic backgrounds. Such behavior is a grave contradiction to the teachings of Islam and the example set by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The Islamic Position on Racism and Tribalism
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made it crystal clear in his Farewell Sermon:
“An Arab is not superior to a non-Arab, nor is a non-Arab superior to an Arab; a white person is not superior to a black person, nor is a black person superior to a white person, except by taqwa (piety and consciousness of Allah).”

This profound statement rejects all forms of racism and tribalism, emphasizing that the only true measure of a person’s worth is their God-consciousness and righteous deeds.

Qur’anic Foundations Against Racism and Tribalism
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“O mankind! Indeed, We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.”(Surah Al-Hujurat 49:13)

This verse highlights that diversity in race, ethnicity, and tribe is a divine wisdom meant for mutual recognition and respect, not for arrogance or discrimination.

The Story of Bilal ibn Rabah (RA): A Model of Equality!
Bilal ibn Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him) was a Black Ethiopian slave who embraced Islam early and endured severe persecution for his faith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) elevated Bilal to a position of honor, appointing him as the first muezzin (caller to prayer), a role of great respect and responsibility.

Bilal’s story is a powerful testament that Islam abolishes all racial and tribal hierarchies. His elevated status in the early Muslim community exemplifies that piety and character, not race or social status, determine a person’s rank in Islam.

Tribalism: A Pre-Islamic Disease Islam Came to Cure!
Tribalism, the excessive loyalty to one’s tribe or ethnic group at the expense of justice and brotherhood, was rampant in Arabia before Islam. It led to division, oppression, and bloodshed.

Islam came to eradicate tribalism by establishing the Ummah — a community united by faith, transcending race, tribe, and social class. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white; none have superiority over another except by piety and good action.” (Reported by Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi; graded authentic)

The Reality of Racism and Tribalism in the Muslim Community
The hateful comments and slurs faced by the Black Muslim brother and his wife are symptoms of ignorance and a failure to internalize Islamic teachings. Such attitudes are rooted in cultural prejudices and pre-Islamic tribal mentalities that Islam explicitly condemns.

What Must We Do?
1. Educate Ourselves and Others: Learn and teach the true Islamic stance on equality, brotherhood, and the rejection of racism and tribalism.
2. Reflect and Purify Our Hearts: Examine our own biases and seek Allah’s guidance to remove any trace of prejudice.
3. Uphold Justice and Speak Out: Stand firmly against racism and tribalism whenever encountered, defending the oppressed and promoting unity.
4. Celebrate Our Diversity: Embrace the rich diversity of the Muslim Ummah as a blessing and a sign of Allah’s wisdom.

Islam calls us to a higher standard — to judge each other by piety and good character, not by skin color or lineage. The example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions, like Bilal ibn Rabah (RA), teaches us that true honor lies in faith and righteousness alone.

May Allah purify our hearts, unite our Ummah, and guide us to embody the true spirit of Islam — a religion of justice, equality, and brotherhood.

#NoRacismInIslam #NoTribalismInIslam #IslamicUnity #TaqwaNotColor
I’ll rather support tribalism and racism than terrorism.🤔

The financial is important but not the all in all. People with huge amount of money have bagged refusals and and people with average account balance have also gotten approval.

I've gotten a number of France Schenghen visas in the past with less than 5m account balance.
Exactly the point I was trying to make.

Naira has lost its value in 2017 when I was going to school my CAD35,000 school fees was about 8.5 million naira.....that’s the main problem. someone would has a proof of funds (POF) of 15 to 20 million naira and still plan to spend 4 million naira just on a visit for 2 weeks... does not add up and will likely get a Visa rejection irrespective of the country

Most people traveling will stay with friends or family members yes I know but that's does not still calculate Airfair and other cost....

No immigration officer will look at someone with 15 million naira (about $10,800 USD) or 20 million Naira in savings.....which is likely their life savings.....and believe it makes sense for them to spend 4 million naira on a two-week trip.

It suggests they cannot realistically afford the trip, and regardless of travel history, the visa is likely to be rejected.

I am using France as a case study based on average travel costs, you simply cannot afford that trip with a POF of 15 million naira, or even 20 million naira.

https://www.budgetyourtrip.com/france

I know that's why fake POF document business is working
I can bet you that Nigerians get Schengen visas with POF less than what you quoted here, especially for frequent travelers, even with the current exchange rate. Not sure of first timers though.
I’m quite surprised at the figures you are quoting here for Canada. Theirs might be different though.

the money you are spending might not be up to more than $5,000 to $7,0000 after flight ticket and staying with family but understand what I am typing....

You already have a 70%–80% chance of visa rejection as a Nigerian by default.

Having a U.S. visa reduces your rejection risk to around 40%–50%.

If you have a solid business that can demonstrate a strong proof of funds , and that POF is clearly tied to consistent income over time, your rejection risk may drop further to about 25%–30%.

Unfortunately, your application needs to be stronger than that of the average applicant.

You should aim to eliminate all doubts in your application and Money linked to a good business does that.....

POF is not just for the 14 days you are traveling; it shows that you can afford life beyond that period and that the 14-day trip will not affect your regular life......

some people will say $15,000 to $20,000 as POF

Look at it this way .....you have $20,000 CAD saved, and IRCC knows that the average tourist coming to will spend roughly $2,084 for 1 weeks. About $4,200 for 2 weeks trip. Also add flight ticket

You are staying with your sister so you are not going to spend up to that

Now, we know that as Nigerians, you might stay with family and not spend that much but IRCC is generalizing based on average spending.

A two-week trip to New Brunswick costs, on average, about $4,200/Per person...in general but number are relatively in any city..

But remember you have family to stay with..

This estimate includes accommodation, food, and local transportation, but it does not include airfare, which can easily be around $2,000 CAD on a good day, or sightseeing expenses. so total can be $6,000

So, from IRCC’s perspective, if you have $15,000 in proof of funds, they will ask: does it make sense for you to spend about 35% of your savings on just a 14-day vacation? To them, that may not seem reasonable.

That’s how IRCC looks at it.

I always tell people to do what works for them some people think I am being extreme which I understand

but proof of funds is not just about covering your 14-day trip. It’s about showing that you can afford the trip without negatively impacting your financial stability.

https://www.budgetyourtrip.com/canada/new-brunswick
This Canada sef, is it that expensive?

On the average You won’t spend 4m visiting Europe with hotel and flight inclusive, except you are a luxury traveler.
