Before accepting these politically motivated figures, we must ask:
1. What was the average number of business closures between 2019 and 2023?
2. How many new businesses, particularly indigenous ones, were established in the same period?
3. How many new companies have been registered in Nigeria over the same period (2023-2024)?
Credible data on the above will provide a clearer perspective rather than sensational claims.
As someone actively engaged with businesses in Nigeria, I can confidently say that the rate of company closures today is not as alarming as it was in past years. In fact, some previously struggling businesses have revived, and many new ones are emerging.
We must not allow politicians to manipulate us for their own interests. Prioritize your future and that of your children. Those like El-Rufai and others have secured their wealth and their children's futures using our national resources—don’t let them mislead you.
If President Tinubu is not performing well, the same people who criticized Jonathan in 2014-2015 for personal gain, these new hawks will not do any better. Back then, gullible Nigerians listened, and today, we see how much further we have fallen. Let’s think critically and not be used as political pawns.
Liar…. In fact, devil the father of liars will be scared of you.
PressMyButton: Keep quiet, enemies of the state. The Visa ban have been lifted but with strict conditions which is what the two countries are trying to address now.

Chucks13: I knew it will end in this. The momentum is loading and Fubara a s s about to be kick out.
I will never pity him a bit if he is eventually kick out which likely will b the case. Those of us who understand the political game on ground warned Fubara to pls slow down there are some political battles you don't fight and if you want to fight it make sure you have base, structure and someone in Aso Rock backing you failure to know this you are going down politically with no one to help you but unfortunately Fubara chose obidient who are already cursed as his back bone surely he is regreting it already.hdecision.
We told him to break off from obidient cus anything obidient touch will crash and crumble, they are nonentities who knew nothing about humanity and political game, they are brain dead mofos whose all they know is burn, destroy, death, bully, arson insult, terrorism, no home training, arrogant thinking in their stupid heads they can bully or threaten anyone to Aso Rock or to governorship forgetting there are more mad people in the street than them who don't give a damn about obidient.

NNPC and Tulumbu don blend all these agbadorian brains inside that refinery. That is why they don't think well.
Nairalanduser10: Ikeja’s once-vibrant biggest street food located in Alade Avenue was an area that brought both cultural richness and economic opportunities to the area. However, this ended after the government abruptly shut down the food spot, citing concerns over noise pollution and illegal trade activities.
This place used to be very bubbly before covid. After covid, activities there became a shadow of itself. Was there last in 2023, and activities there had not increased.
so sad its been shut down, more so, without providing alternatives to the vendors affected.

stevonics: Author and former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has described Peter Obi as the only formidabble political oppostion figure in Nigeria right now as he has retired others who contested in the 2023 presidential election.
Okokri who is an avid critic of the former Anambra State governor said anyone parading themselves and think they are a bigger opposition is suffering delusion.
He expressed his admiration for Obi, who he said despite being severely flawed has trudged on.
This was in a Facebook post on Friday.
It reads, “Peter Obi is currently the Number One opposition figure in Nigeria. Bar none. Anybody in any opposition party who thinks that he is bigger than Obi right now is ‘just deluded’.
“The man, Obi, is severely flawed, but I admire how he has trudged on despite the obstacles he faces. Some people in one or two opposition parties have already been retired by Obi, but they just don’t know it yet because their money is keeping them on political life support.
“If only he could be less Igbo-centric, appeal to his Obidients to use persuasive rather than abusive words and admit, then apologise for his ‘Yes Daddy’ ‘religious war’ comment against the Muslim Ummah, he would go far. Those are his Achilles heel. He cannot cross the Rubicon without addressing them.”
Peter Obi has maintained that he’s more concerned with seeing than Nigeria work than becoming president, even though he has not ruled out contesting when the 2027 polls come around.
Gboom: Stop deceiving yourself, most of you are economic illiterates. Floating the naira is majorly to discourage imports and encourage exports which may improve our GDP and strengthen our currency in the long run.
which long run?😁
Illiterate calling others that are more intelligent than you are an illiterate.
How many of your useless permutation and combination has yielded any positive outcome, other than to impoverish the masses?
Since you love poverty and backwardness, your life will progress like that of Nigeria.
Magnumproperty: The same tax that people are frowning at again? They said Tinubu doesn't know more than taxing people and it's still the same thing you are advocating for ?
you this Werey, you are still here supporting TIfnubu?
How has your life improved since our last encounter?
Ijaya123: When the currency was N700, it was artificially fixed with about $1.5 billion per monthly and that wasn't the true value. Basically, what we were doing was to subside imports at the detriment of local manufacturers.
That apparently isn’t sustainable. What you’re seeing now is the true value.
Understood?
Shut up there. Which true value?
Has it ever been stable? Something that is inching towards 2000?
What value is the true value?
Dumb animal. Be there explaining rubbish like the zombie you are.
