Adeboy007: Preparation for Migration and Settling Down in United State After Visa ApprovalThanks,I've just sent a post on the link to Seun mentioning the title. |
Hello Seun,I have not had the pleasure of conversing with u as I have only been active on the DV thread.I want to thank u and Justwise for the wonderful work u guys are doing.U are worthy ambassadors of this country.I learnt so much from the thread and it made my interview preparation easy.May God bless u. Pls,kindly help me with the link of a thread created by Obatide titled: Preparation for Migration and Settling Down in United States After Visa Approval. Thanks. |
osufamily: i was there this morning and they are on strike, confuse thou but i will go with the short form of birth certificateWhat I meant is that u know we have State and Federal High Courts, someone mentioned to me in an unrelated conversation that one of them is not on strike.Just confirm pls. |
Obatide: Birth Affidavit is compulsory to obtain NPC attestation of birth but not necessarily from High Court, so you may try alternative courts except Notary.I don't think the Federal High courts are affected.Someone said so,pls do confirm. @Obatide;Our able Captain, its nice that u are more active now.We still need u.Pls,cld u tell me the exact title of ur thread Thanks. |
justwise: Post the question here for Seun and the tile of the thread you want info from https://www.nairaland.com/1794940/concerning-catastrophic-loss-valuable-data/1#1794940.57Thanks.Lobatan,our fight don end.God bless u sir.I think this is also for the others that need it to take note. |
@Justwise;Pls I still don't get how to find the old posts again.I especially need the one created by Obatide as i need it badly. Kindly explain in detail and a way I can undertstand.Thanks. N.B Now,let me see if u won't answer this one cos its Seun Osewa that will settle this fight o.lol. |
Adeboy007:U,don't worry.I will report u to Royal father to call the council of elders in the house to decide on ur fine.Maybe u'll take us all to Chinese restaurant or better still an Iya Sikira buka.lol.Remember the V.O said she likes the smell of Eba. At all;do av a nice day and let's pray for the security situation of this country and the Chibok girls.God bless u. |
VisaOfficer: I apologize for causing such a kerfuffle! I promise not to try to be funny any more.@V.O; U trully amaze me,u are indeed a gem.I am not surprised that u feel this way.God bless u now and always. To my fellow nairalanders,if u do have a question or clarification do not hesitate to ask the V.O.Its better to err on the side of caution and God has blessed this forum with sm1 that gives advice for FREE!!!!!Although this should not take away from us adequate preparation and honesty.Remember our 5Ps:Prayer,Perseverance,Prudence,Planning and sm1 pls remind me of the 5th one .@Justwise:how far now?Shey u did not see my post ni?At least congratulate me now.... .So its only 007 that can make u come out of ur shell |

VisaOfficer: "Old"?!?!?!?!? Hey now!Hello our dear one and only V.O,I'm very sure u are conversant with Adeboy's antics which earned him several nicknames on this forum. He even used to call me his TradoMedical doctor and it was until when I met him in person that he desisted. He is our Prince of Nairaland so do pls forgive him.His big mouth, ehn ![]() U definitely are not old because I was also opportuned to see u,u are graceful and matronly, that's how I will describe u sha.Have a nice evening. |
Dekonjay: @ ADEBOY, I read your interview experience and I was deeply touched. Because of that I decided to register on NL again as my initial registration was lost in the NL tsunami. A VERY BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU my brother, you really deserve this opportunity God has given you and I am so happy for you. Continue to be who you are, giving support and encouraging others, it will carry you farther than you have ever dreamed.Madam Dekonjay;Where hast thouest been We have missed u.Myself and Adeboy still talked about u on our way to Qlife.Have u had ur interview?Best wishes and warm regards to ur family. |
@Justwise & Seun Osewa; How are u?I am sure u know by now that I have had my interview.I am effusive again with my appreciation.I got to know about Nairaland after I was denied student visa in 2010 and I realised so many things I took for granted. When I won the DV I ran back to NL cos I know that information is key,if u are not informed u are deformed. On the day of the interview,I found myself advising pple about phones, makeup, keys etc when we must have read about these dos and don'ts a million times on thread.Ur mind is free to concentrate on more impt things.Although one was anxious but I can't imagine making short trips to and fro the car and rejoining the queue. For those that were diligent on the DV threads u realise that what u know was not told u by a single person but the sum total of all the testimonies, questions, arguments(rmbr Gentiger & Temmytanny of 2013 thread) lol.All these gotten for free. I'm extremely grateful for this platform.God bless u. |
Yaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy,u already told me some of this but I didn't imagine it was this bad.Thank God for your life and sincerity.Bask in the euphoria dear.God bless u. |
GiftedHandz: Welcome back our HERO. The embassy couldn't swallow ur testimony of victory. The good you did to members of this great forum screamed out for your visa.congratulations!Yes,u are very right. |
Hello Greenhouse, wonderful testimonies rocking da house.Doro 007,I know we have talked earlier.I remember when you just joined this forum with your jests, openeness and youthfulness that is so refreshing.I have had the opportunity to meet u in person and u were just like I pictured u.When NL was dull ,u were the only one responding to pple's queries, anxieties and outright problems.U rarely get angry and u spent so much of ur hard earned money on calling pple and making sure we are all ok.God bless u our selfless Golden Prince of Nairaland.See how u are being celebrated by every1.U are a gem.God bless u. I know u are very tired psychologically after ur interview, the end justifies the means.Makes u appreciate what u have.Ur Greencard was not given u on a platter of gold but u worked hard for it.CONGRATS!!!!!!! |

VisaOfficer: I'm glad it went well for you! By the way, I hear we requested additional information via e-mail from your husband. Did you get that e-mail?Oh,thanks so much.Just seeing it and he will reply right away.Do have a nice day. |
Adeboy, our golden boy, doro 007,it is well with u in Jesus name.Amen.Come back and rejoice with your testimony IJMN.Amen. |
Hello V.O: I am so sorry for just posting this.Rushed back to the kids' school for their end of session party as our first child was actively participating.God bless u for the good work u are doing on Nairaland.I had my interview today and very glad I followed ur advice. We (including hubby) were all there as u advised, yes we were allowed to pay for the rest of us.To the glory of God,the kids and I got our visas approved and we submitted my husband's DS 230.After our interview,we were given visa pick-up letter and told that hubby will be contacted later. The kids got so cranky but thankfully slept off.You guys are so so busy!!!Chei.Welldone and God bless u so much. Nairaland is blessed to have u in our midst.Thanks. |
Hellooo GH,the Lord is good.Visa approved, details later, pls bear with me.I had to leave the Embassy straight for the kids' end of the year party for which my daughter was actively involved.Just getting in now.All I can say for now is that Nairaland is blessed without us knowing the extent.Whatever advices given in this forum are impt, however that of the V.O is sacrosanct.I took the V.O's advice, definitely know her onions and I was happy I did.Myself and the kids had our visas approved for pick up next week and hubby's DS230 form accepted today. Its not over until its all over.God bless u all,Amen. |
@Adeboy;Thanks so much. This week and beyond I pray God will surprise us beyond our imagination,we are surrounded with favour as with a shield IJMN.We pray for utterance, calm for our anxieties,Holy Spirit Our Senior Partner we relinquish everything to u.Lets come back with resounding sucess.Amen. @honest122;Lets do it and go in God's strength IJMN.Amen.As you said Wednesday is a day of favour,God will favour us.Amen.U shd be able to recognise me with our signature twin boys and their big sister.See u! |
AREOLA: Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Congrats madam. My family key into this beautiful testimony. |
VisaOfficer: Hmm, this is an interesting question. Usually we like all the people involved in the case to pay the fee (obviously), but if it really looks like you know that he's not going to be able to use a Diversity Visa if it's issuable.... How about this. Why don't you come to the interview with everyone in your family and pay for everyone except your husband. Then, if it turns out he can travel with you, you can pay his DV fee too. You'll probably be told that you either HAVE to pay for everyone or not be interviewed at all; if so, please have a copy of this response with you, and show it to whomever argues with you. Thanks so so much for your explanation. We will definitely heed your advice and also ensure we have a copy of this.It was because of a fellow Nairalander's post (Jehovahfavour) who was almost not allowed for his interview because of some financial difficulties that made me ask this question.U are a lifesaver,do enjoy your weekend. If its God's and ur wish we will get to meet you soon. ![]() N.B: I will be the happiest in the whole wide world if my husband is issued the visa because I KNOW that he is going to use it immediately its issued. We will be coming with his money and form just in case! |
Before the loss of data on NL u did not realise that it was DV and u suggested that he fills a form and pay for the interview.U also said that he will be told the type of ban and may be able to apply for the waiver and even travel with us,however when I asked for the processing times that was when you realised that it was DV because it takes months for the waiver to be approved as its adjudicated by USCIS and not at the Consulate. Sorry,I did not realise that u have answered earlier but my question is; Do we pay for him or await the CO's instructions? |
VisaOfficer: Hello again! I'm afraid I don't remember all the details of your case. You were married but did not list your husband on the original entry, is that correct? Thanks for your reply. No,he was listed in the original entry. He used a false British Visa to enter US in 2001 in the hope of Amnesty/Assylum but left in 2003 when this hope could not be realised and also used this same passport in 2004(brother's wedding) and 2005 for short family vacation (on these last 2 visits he spent less than 2 weeks). On his return on this 3rd trip he was caught at Heathrow on account of the false passport, convicted and sent back to Nigeria. So when we were filling our forms,we felt some parts of the DS 230 forms that says he may be ineligible to receive visa because of the above situation and so we decided that he would follow to join us later as we did not know the type of ban he is. |
Hello VO,I read the post of Eba in amusement. .Its nice to know that u have blended well to like the smell of Eba and able to speak Warri.Hmmh,my family's interview comes up in a few days.I am the PA whose husband did not fill the DS 230 fom because we felt he may be ineligible to receive visa at this time on account of past false misrepresentation and staying in the US for more than 1year some 13yrs ago. You advised before the unfortunate loss of data on NL.We definitely were and still are all going to attend the interview together,my question is with the waiver application processing times and Sept 30,2014 DV deadline do we pay the interview fees for ALL the members of the family or do we hold off paying hubby's and await the CO's further instruction at our interview?Sorry to bother you,I just want to be clear on the steps/paths before some Embassy officials get surprised at us.I don't think our case is an usual occurence. Thanks and do av a lovely day. |
Timika: Please house. Is there a way one can get the NPC cert of birth faster? Just read that it takes about 2 weeks to get.Unfortunately, officially no.But if u get there and explain ur situation they may help. But really go there ASAP.When is ur interview? |
robinobehi: good evening gentlemen and ladies, please i want to be sure if any ID card is going to be required during interview> please i need fast answersI think u'll be safe if u have it. |
