Before you date the girl, and you know you're the kind that can't live without sex, I mean sex is the breath you need to survive and the source of your strength, then ask her outrightly, if the conditions don't suit both parties, then keep moving. If both of you can't seem to compromise, then move on and get yourself a girl that share your belief. I don't feel a girl should compromise her principles and morals just because the guy can't do without esp. if she's lived by the principles all along. Always be on the same page, if you guys can't come to a joint agreement, then you're better off without each other. Cheating behind her back because she's not ready doesn't make it ideal, and the damages when exposed arent worth the minutes pleasure. Kindly and quietly call it a day and continue with your lives seperately, she sticking to her rules and you sleeping with whomever or whatever . . but at least nobody is hurting the other person!! ![]() My humble opinion!!! |

The implications is that if you go beyond whatever agreement the blood oat symbolises, the purnishment accorded on the day of oat taking, will be your destiny. I don't know how true it is, Cos i've never witnessed it in real life, only in movies. I know the power of God can break it too, but why go into it if you have doubts of keeping to the agreement, and why do it to keep a vow either. At the end of the day the "once fancied blood oat" becomes a "prison" Love me Cos you love me, not because you're trapped in an oat . . just my humble opinion ![]() |
Dearie, its always hurtful, painfull, devastating, agonizing, sad, heartbreaking, crushing and all what not when turned down by someone you love. Its wrecking to find out someone you have genuine feelings for don't reciprocate them but honey that's just life and love for you. We can't force feelings on people just because we want them to feel the same way we feel, neither can you impose love on someone. And what good does it do to be with someone that doesn't return the feelings?? Believe me hun, you'll be much better off without. Its jsut one of those phases, but you'll survive and sooner or later move on. When you finally get that person who feels just the same about you as you feel about them, believe me the feeling is heavenly, and your life will never be the same Until then, don't settle for less!! |

ThiefOfHearts:lol ThiefOfHearts:Eeerm, she's igbo, and speaks fluent hausa but i'm not really too sure of her yoruba skills, never asked her. But i doubt she knows too much of it. But when you misbehave she'll jokingly say "oloribururku" ThiefOfHearts:ooh ooh, bad bad teacher i met on this thread , but thanks, i'll bear that in mind, incase there should be a next time ![]() |
ikuku:"Dumb" you say, i say "MONEY-MONGER" wife - - LMCAO ![]() |
ThiefOfHearts:My mum says is a lot as a joke. The other two i know are "ekaro" and "kilon shele" Someone corrected me the other day that "ekaro" means "good-morning" so i should use "ekasan" at evening, which i already did. and i already used "kilon shele" already . . So the last but not the least (or maybe least) i knew was "oloriburuku" and i used it as jokingly as my mum usually used it, but unfortunately i was misunderstood. I'm sorry, really. @ thread O da bo (but i'll be back, when my yoruba teacher is awake ) |

GNature:@ G-nature, please forgive my repentant soul. I didnt want to go off-topic, and my yoruba teacher is obviously sleeping at this time of the night lol, i just had to write down the only yoruba word i had left it me. The topic does say "if you can speak yoruba, talk it in here", I spoke the one I knew,no offence to anyone meant ![]() And hey, you didnt have to bring my upbringing into it, i'll pretend i didnt see it, and let it slide by!! |
