To almost all situations in life, there are two possible outcomes. Until you've tried, you'll never know "what would have been".

If he really has genuine feelings for her that go beyond mere friendship, he should go for it. Who knows, the girl might be nuturing the feeling too but waititng for the guy to lead the way.

As long as the feeling is there and he doesn't know what her answer would have been, he'll not have rest of mind when he's around her. And for the rest of their lives, or when other guys walk into her life, he'll forever wonder "what if" . . the worst part is that he might never find hapiness with someone else, Cos his heart lies with her.

If he does try and she says "no", then they could both coninue as friends, but he'll be able to put it behind him and if they do try out a relationship and it doesn't work out, he shouldn't regret - - - if it had worked out, he wouldn't have.

Life is all about chances, and each chance we take leads us to a different stage in life, the ones we don't dare to take might never be regained
