FamilyRe: Why Do Women Stay In Abusive Relationships by cuteass1(f): 1:12am On Jun 19, 2007
To each her own . . every victim of an abusive marriage/relationship has her own story to tell and reasons to give.

Some are there because they "think" they love the man, what nonsense love, right? but yes, love can be quite stupid and blind atimes.
Some do it for the sake of their kids, don't want them growing without a father, or thinking the kids will hate them when they grow up for leaving their dad
Some do it because they're scared of being alone, they can't imagine living without a man
Some do it because they lack the courage and self-will to walk away, afraid of the unknown
Some are there because they think he'll turn a new leaf the next minute and that if they continue hoping, just maybe he'll come around
Some can't do without the feeling of being Mrs., desperation to be seen as a married woman
Some do it because of morals, who hopes for a broken marriage anyway?
Some don't want to sit back and watch another woman take over their man, they feel its milder if he goes out to meet her than having her move out of the house and give liberty to the "other" woman

And then yes there are those who are scared of dissappointing the society, being a disgrace to family and not living up to other friends who of course are still married!! (But its not the only reason, Cos some whites find themselves in same situation, and believe me most of them don't treat it any better, I'm sure they're not out to please the society, the society couldn't care less)

its a sad story, but thats just how the cookie crumbles . . . .

both r good. the first movie i saw muna in was across d border n it was hot i was like wow shocked. i fell in love with him rite there. i like van too so i guess i can't choose between them
My dear thanks for wakingme up wink

You're absolutely right, the first movie i saw of Muna was "across the boarder" too, and i was like "men, this guy is drop daed hot", he was so cool and captivating in that movie, i felt like breaking the screen and drawing him out lol grin grin

But honestly he's not bad, just that put with Van, the choice becomes something else, and that's maybe because the rest movies Muna has acted, he hasnt been half as hot as he was in that one, but Van on the other hand is always a "charmer" kiss

RomanceRe: Can A Guy Date A Gal That Is Older Than He Is? by cuteass1(f): 10:19pm On Jun 18, 2007
Some can, some can't. I honestly do not know if i could, i'll have to be in the situation to know (was almost there, it was a yr difference though, but it didnt happen) So can't say for sure.
Not my wish or ideal thing but . . love does make us do the unimagineable things, right??

But its a known fact that girls are more practically matured than guys atimes, so it all depends on level of maturity of both parties since to every stereptype, there's a level of exception!!

FamilyRe: My Good Friend Is In Trouble. by cuteass1(f): 7:46pm On Jun 18, 2007
A human/woman heart can only harbor to an extent, endurance has its boundaries, and perseverance would give up at some point, and then there's that point where even love quits. She could only take it to some length

But the truth remains that its her sole cross to carry, no one should take the decision for her. What you can do as a friend is be there for her, lend her your shoulder to cry on, help her weigh the good and bad, comfort her, give her your ears and wipe her tears

I'm sure she's still there Cos she "loves" him, the thought of their kids and to preserve their marriage and home. What you have to do for her apart from being there for her is pray, pray and pray.

If its in her destiny to live with this guy, then God sooner or later will give him a "round-about turn", and if the marriage wasn't meant to last "till death did them path", then in no due time, the courage will arouse in her.

Thats what she needs to leave, courage, self-will and determination, being talked into something like this by someone else doesn't give that "i did the right thing" feeling, and at the long run she might regret heeding to your voice. So yes, your husband is right, there's a limit to what you can/should do.

Like i said its her cross to carry, its hers and her kids future, be her escort through the journey but let her carry the cross alone, it makes any decision she takes the right one for her wink

I know what you yourself is going through couldn't be easy, i pray God to be your strength and give you required grace and knowledge to be the helping hand you were designed to be!!!!!!

I've witnessed such situations and learnt that it only feels right, when they decide its time to call it a day by themselves for themselves, at least if there should be any regrets (hope not), then its better to regret a decision she made by herself than one made by someone else.

Gettolove:
I need to know what a girl really need from a guy, Is it sex / love / care/ recharge cards/ phone calls/ gifts/ every thing
GIRLS WETIN UNA WANT SEF
All girls are different, so to each her own. And the truth remains that you'll find some who fit into each and every category, there's no general stereotype here. Depends on what you are ready to give, determines whether you'll be together or not.

I can only speak for myself and no one else, and what i want and need is of no consequence to you, since we aren't dating, so whats the point in listing it, right? wink grin
