Good morning from MANCHESTER!

DH is through with classes, and is on 2 weeks break from his work place, so we decided to do small waka. Initially, we were looking at Europe(Turkey) or Schengen but after checking flight and hotels fares etc we decided to put that on hold and do a little tour of the UK.. So I was in charge of logistics and DH was in charge of finances cheesy

DH has always been fond of Scotland, so he wanted us to go there but as the logistics manager, I made him see reasons why we should break the trip, enjoy other cities along the way to Edinburgh grin

Eventually, I came up with Manchester (1 night) - Glasgow (2 nights) - Edinburgh (3 nights) - Newcastle (1 night) - Home

We left yesterday.. SO HERE WE ARE...

Well, the ball is in your court. I think you would have to inform WES to remove your B.Sc from your order. Although, I'm not too sure on how you would pass the information to WES, some have tried it, and it was possible.
Rence22:
If that is the case please can I retract the first application I made to WES since I haven't paid to make another one.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by cuteguy201: 3:55pm On May 14, 2019
This is not true. Oakville19 is correct.
You happened to request for your B.Sc to be treated, that's why it appears on your profile. Many have successfully evaluated their M.Sc degrees only.
Rence22:
When I made my application two weeks ago, WES said I should send my WAEC, Bsc and Msc. Not optional to exclude the BSc if i have an Msc.
Thanks anyway.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by cuteguy201: 3:52pm On May 14, 2019
Hi,
I would advice you visit the foundation programme office to apply in person, they would give you the necessary information and guide you would need.
Just make sure you have your Diploma II Registration Number handy.
On your WES profile, you do not need to indicate that you did the Diploma II programme, inform the foundation office to transfer your transcript to the records office, thus, it would be treated as your first year result and sent as a whole with your B.Sc transcript that covers your academic records from 200Level.
Rence22:
Hello House, this question is in regards to WES and Unilag Diploma II Prog. WES requests that we send our WAEC, Bsc and Msc, or further certifcates. I did Diplama II in Unilag in those days which is now different from the Foundation prog they run. Now, WES says if we did a prog that admitted us into the second year, we should also send the transcripts.
The problem now is that on Unilag Transcript request website, there is no application for Diploma II transcript application. I even tried to apply to the Unilag Foundation if they have transferred our files there, but to no avail.
I dont know if I should go ahead with WES without expecting wahala with WES requesting verification from unilag.
I am seriously trying to cut extra costs.
Thanks.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by cuteguy201: 3:44pm On May 14, 2019
I finished from Unilag, and it's usually like that.
Unilag only attends to verifications from wes via postal mail.
The transit time from WES Canada to Unilag Records office is usually between 5 - 9 weeks after WES has notified you that the verification has been sent.
Nothing would be done until Unilag receives the hard copy from WES, before the verification response processing starts.
Please be patient, and if in doubt, you may visit the Registrar's office on the 5th Floor to confirm if any correspondence in your name has been received by the institution.
magd:
The reason I am here to make enquiries, trust me unilag will keep on telling you they haven't received it and weeks will pass by before you know

Is it that dirty Ghana high in Lagos Island you people are highing like this?!.... Even Paul & Paul opp Hotel Lawa is far far better in Lagos Island.... If you want unmemorable tongue thrills, you can also try the chinese restaurant in mega plaza and Four points fried rice is also on point. Please, nobody should mention Ghana high again!

Lol, when next you're in Naija, since I feel you have a liking for Surulere, try Yakoyo rather than Amala Shitta, and Commint Buka rather than Bank Olemoh Designer Rice. Ghana High Jollof is still okay. Thank me later.

*MY TESTIMONY (14th April 2019)*

*Interview proper*
April 30th finally came. I woke up by 4am, went through all my documents again, finally got to the embassy by 8.23am. Dropped all documents at the reception, sat down quietly waiting for my turn. From the list, I was the first but this people didn't call me till the reception was completely empty. I just waka enter the convenience & started blasting in tongues, didn't care whether my voice was loud I just wanted God to make everyone & everything work for my good. I was planning to ask the security lady for mat or monks/vita foam to put on the floor & sleep (make I just kukuma rest till them ready)

The lady flung all my documents at me that I will hear from them. The interview didn’t last more than 10mins just as I prayed & God heard me.

I took my tired self to the hotel, changed & went to enjoy a bowl of chicken at KFC. After spoiling myself, I checked my phone & saw that my golden mail has been there for over an hour & half.

*Timeline*
ITA --- Oct 3rd 2018
AOR --- Oct 26th

I appreciate God almighty for being my Ebenezer, my glory & the lifter of my head, my strength, my peace, my provider & my supplier. My champion the host of heaven, the captain of my destiny. Words cannot describe Him, words cannot express my gratitude.

Special appreciation goes to everyone, for as many that are still waiting on God in one point or another, I pray the outstretched hand of God shows up on your case.

Sorry it’s coming late, I just got back from Accra.
Wow! Quite a read! Congratulations, You finally had the last laugh.
Do you mind sharing a transcript of your interview? Or rather, help explain what exactly prompted the interview.
Thanks in anticipation.

TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by cuteguy201:
Yes Boss. There are a lot of bureaucracy involved because you are dealing with government workers within the civil service.

For instance, if I can recollect correctly, there's a stage in the process where the deceased's name would have to be published in the national dailies and once published it would take atleast 21 days before your file can even be touched again as that's the minimum waiting time.
Also, towards the end when you even get the letter, the bank would say they need to confirm if the letter is genuine, and after confirmation, it's not like the cash would be just handed over, but an estate account would be opened before the money can be deposited. That may take close to a month. So you see, two months goneby just on irrelevant issues.

To be honest, try not to fall into the trap of looking for how to fast track because what would be would be and you would be shocked by what people who would claim to help would ask from you. This total amount is roughly estimated to 1.8M, the government would still take 10℅ of the total value, forms, sureties e.t.c. Money don finish lol.

Pertaining to you spending only 2 to 3 months in naija, I think you should be able to get it to the publication stage.

Another key issue which I forgot to mention and a very important fact is that only you can't apply for the Letter of Administration except if you are the only surviving child and of legal age of 18. At least a minimum of 2 children and maximum of 4 children.

7Alexandre:
6 Months ke...

So why does the Letter of administration take so long?

I will only be spending just two (2) to three (3) months in Naija.

Is there anything that can be done to fast track the issuance of Letter of Administration?
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by cuteguy201: 1:06pm On Mar 22, 2019
You can still get it, just that it involves a lengthy process.

Oceanic bank was acquired by Ecobank. All accounts are still active, just a simple change of name that took place - same way Skye Bank is now Polaris Bank, and Spring Bank now Heritage Bank. The account would still be there with the funds intact. Just have the account numbers handy.

There's something called a Letter of Administration. It's a document that is issued by the High Court to enable the children of a deceased person have access to their late parent's estate (Money in bank, shares and property).

Without that Letter of Administration, the bank would never release the money, and stubborn tenants can decide not to vacate and renew their rent if the property was directly let out by the deceased.

Now here's the catch, to process a Letter of Administration now in Lagos state, would still take you atleast a minimum of 6 Months no matter how long your leg may be. Some may take close to 2 years.

I hope this helps.

N.B.
I'm not a Lawyer nor a Banker, neither am I Government official. I just happen to have information about the subject.

7Alexandre:
I don’t know...

My mum had about $3000+ in a dom Account & about #700,000+ in a Current Account both with Oceanic Bank before she passed away...

Now I heard Oceanic Bank no longer exist...

But I still need the money she left in those Bank Accounts...

I will have to wait & see if other people can contribute to this topic...

It’s very important...

Number 5 though grin grin grin
Ifeoma77:
Trust me when I say you are not going to be telling them anything new, they knew that you were lying about the job way back then and that is probably why you didn't get your study Visa.
There must be something in the water they serve at these 'agencies', that blocks logical thinking. How else did you plan to explain that you were a lecturer when your highest qualification was ND. Even if the school is family owned.
Anyway, way forward;
1. fill all EE/e-Apr forms correctly.
2. Explain the truth in LOE and mention that you were misguided by a fraudulent agent.
3. Pray

Additional steps;
4. Find that agent and give him some slaps angry
5. Give yourself some too angry

I've noticed a lot of drivers complain about getting ride requests from Agric and Ikorodu environs, so I decided to comment today.

As a rider, my uber app does not allow me to make requests from Agric. It usually comes up with a "not within geographic zone" error message.
However, I can easily make taxify requests from the same area.

I hope this helps.
