Now, if she lied about the case, then with her mouth she has landed herself in serious debt. The Oliver Twist crooner has reached out to his lawyers who are ready for a case with Miss Babatayo. The letter also demanded an apology to be published in at least four national dailies. The letter was addressed to Miss Babatayo’s lawyer, Ojoge, Omileye and Partners, dated June 15, 2020. Here is a list of the details of the letter. First and foremost, an outright apology and a total retraction of each and every false allegation made against and concerning our client. Secondly, the said apology and retraction shall be published in four national dailies. It will also be published on social media platforms and handles being used by your client and her hirelings. Thirdly, your client makes a compensatory deposit of the sum of N100m. This shall be done only through this chambers in favour of our client to assuage his battered image. In addition, D’banj stated that his accuser was only a gold digger. She was on a mission to destroy the reputation he had built for nearly two decades in the music industry. The musician said he was married when the purported rape took place. Moreso, the allegation was an insult to his wife. Miss Babatayo took to social media to call out the star in the same period Uwa Vera was raped. Uwa Vera was a student of University of Benin. She was raped while reading in her church in Benin. Nevertheless, D’banj is all out to clear his name and defend himself. The former Mo’Hits Records star has the backing of his lawyers. Continue reading: https://9jababa.com

All Progressives Congress committee has upheld Godwin Obaseki’s disqualification. It was upheld by the Screening Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress. The appeal committee presented its report to the National Working Committee headed by Adams Oshiomhole on Saturday. Dr Abubakar Fari led the committee. He cited discrepancies in the dates on Obaseki’s University of Ibadan certificate. Fari said it is incredible that the same University will award two certificates with separate dates for the same graduate. He stated that it is difficult to vouch for the authenticity of Obaseki’s National Youth Service Corps certificate. This is because where he served was not indicated. For that, they uphold his disqualification. Continue Reading: https://9jababa.com/all-progressives-congress-appeal-committee-upholds-obasekis-disqualification/ Adams Oshiomhole commended the chairman and members of the appeal committee for a job well done. All Progressives Congress Prof Jonathan Ayuba headed the screening committee of the party. On Friday, they disqualified the governor from participating in the party’s June 22 primaries. The reason was because of the discrepancies in his names and certificates. Moreso, for taking the party to court which is against the party’s rules. Ayuba noted that Obaseki claimed to have obtained a Higher School Certificate. He got the certificate from the Institute of Continuing Education in Benin but that he did not produce the certificate. The document he produced only had proof to his attendance. He said further that the governor’s NYSC certificate reads ‘Obasek Godwin’. However, it could be an error on the part of NYSC, but he governor never took any step to correct it. Obaseki and two other aspirants, Chris Ogiemwonyi and Mathew Iduoriyekenwen, were... @ https://9jababa.com Did Pepsi accidentally make a promise they couldn’t keep? It started a year prior. Pepsi was trying to break into the Philippine market where Coca-Cola was already dominant. This was the 12th largest soft drink market, with a rapidly growing population of 62 million people. The economy was weak. Lots of people struggling to make ends meet. Tens of millions worked in rice fields and other physically demanding, low paying jobs. Pepsi executives decided to do a promotional campaign that promised to have lots of payouts. Each Pepsi bottle cap would have a number that correlated to a prize that would be announced. There were be lots of small winners and then two huge winners of $40,000 each. One Massive, Massive Problem Pepsi hoped the allure of prize money would convert many of the low-income Coke drinkers. They strategically planned to give out a total of $2M in prizes. However, a computer glitch with one of Pepsi’s vendors caused them to manufacture 800,000 bottles with the number “349” on the bottle cap. The number “349” was the $40,000 winning number. Pepsi had explicitly told its vendor factories not to print this number at all. The two bottles with that number would be specially manufactured and sent to the Philippines by Pepsi themselves. So here is Pepsi, churning along each month, not knowing they accidentally sent $32 billion worth of winning caps to the Philippines. Meanwhile, everyone in the Philippines is going bananas for this promotion, buying up all the soda bottles. This disruptive campaign increased Pepsi’s market share from 4% to 24.9% in just two months. Fast Forward. The big day arrives. All the Filipinos have their TV’s on. Pepsi goes on to announce the winning bottlecap number, 349, and across the Philippines, crowds of people are cheering. They’ve won enough money to buy a large house. Pepsi then realizes they’ve made a terrible mistake. They do their whole, “Whoa whoa whoa, hold up.” The optics of the situation aren’t pretty. You have this first world multibillion-dollar business that has made this huge monetary promise to these poor people, only to backpedal and blame it on a system error. One could see how it wouldn’t sit well with a rice farmer. Pepsi realizes they can’t just walk away without paying anything. They make an offer of $18 to each patron. It came out to $8.7M in total payouts, versus their original budget of $2M. The people don’t find this offer very appetizing. A 349 Alliance consumer action group forms. They begin protesting across Manila, in front of government buildings as well as Pepsi’s local headquarters. Things start to get more violent. Then, full-blown riots break out. More than 30 Pepsi trucks are firebombed in the process. Then the situation escalates even more. Police are called in and rioters begin fighting with them, throwing rocks. The fighting continues on throughout the day. By the end of all the carnage, five people die and dozens more are wounded. All because of a marketing promotion went wrong. Following all of this, Pepsi faced thousands of court claims that it had to work through in the following years. There was a lengthy trial and the Philippine commerce courts eventually ruled that Pepsi’s mistake wasn’t malicious and it hadn’t committed a crime. At the end of everything, Pepsi’s total combined losses, between physical, legal, and brand equity costs, would top $20M. Their market share would plummet and take years to rebound. But Pepsi, ever the resilient brand, would recover its market share in due time. But not before “revisiting” a few of their internal processes. The simple lesson learnt from all of these: I need you to tell me, i'm a student! Source: medium.com

Men cook, we know! And some cook very well because they were properly taught by their mothers or fathers. Mothers teach their boys to cook because they don’t want any girl to make iyanga for their sons. Yet why is it that when we see a man cooking for his lady, it looks special or even abnormal? We throw jibes at the lady, asking her what she is there for while her husband is cooking. We question the manhood of the man asking if he belongs in the kitchen. A newly wedded couple, who are hopelessly in love with each other, go to the market to buy vegetables, meat and pepper. The market women start to shame the man by asking what he is doing in the market following the woman. Could it be that he is trying to monitor how the wife spends money, they ask. We tie the total worth of the woman to performance in the kitchen and if peradventure, her husband cooks better, we say, “And you are a woman o!“ There are homes in Nigeria where the wife is indifferent towards cooking or hates cooking and the husband gladly makes the meals in the home. You know they exist, I know it too. There are families that whenever they intend on entertaining visitors, the husband cooks before the visitors arrive. But the wife serves when the visitors arrives. Thus creating the illusion that Madam has done them well when the truth is that Oga is the one deserving of the praises. In Nigeria, we attach so much importance to a woman’s performance in the kitchen. It is surprising how Nigerian women are not clinching all the international cooking competition prizes. Don’t get me wrong, food is important. Everybody loves a palatable cuisine. But using that to determine a woman’s worth is total nonsense and should be treated as such. If women were made to be custodians of the kitchens, God would have sent them to the world with a ladle in one hand and Knorr cubes in the other Continue Reading...@ https://9jababa.com/cooking-why-should-the-man-be-in-the-kitchen/

The music industry is an enabler of internet fraud. The lyrics of some songs contain profanity and puts pressure on the youths to get rich quick. Musicians who have little or no talent believe these songs sell more. Hence, they key into it. Internet fraud is fast becoming a menace among the youths and they see nothing wrong with it. The arrest of Hushpuppi is raising many questions among Nigerians. What is the cause of the get-rich-quick syndrome among Nigerian youths? Why are most persons desperate to make a name for themselves in the society? It is baffling that some persons actually see no wrong in internet fraud. According to them, it is the same thing the government is doing. The government is taking advantage of the citizens daily. But Nigerians give a different name to their actions. These overzealous youths prefer to die trying to get wealth and through whatever means than wait for their time. According to them, there is no time for anyone. The arrest of Hushpuppi by INTERPOL is a warning call to internet fraudsters. If they do not desist from their ways, one day, they might meet their waterloo. The music industry has been blamed for encouraging internet fraud. The Beat 99.9 FM recently did a poll asking if the desperation to get rich is influenced by some songs. Most answers were in the affirmative. Songs like Yahooze by Olu Maintain readily comes to mind. 9ice’s Living Things is another eye opener. Read More @https://9jababa.com/

We all know it is the normal affair for a woman to officially change her surname to her husband’s name after the wedding. In some cases, the woman goes as far as changing her state of origin to her husband’s. So you hear things like, “I am Delta by blood, Yoruba by marriage.” However, with the rapid change in our social stances and the cry of gender equality getting stronger by the day, a lot of married women do not change their surnames these days and some single ladies have expressed their stance not to change their surnames after marriage. This may be seen as rebellion of some sort, chaos to a perfect order of living or simply unnecessary but the reasons behind this is perfectly logical. Before I delve into these reasons, let me ask: did you know that there are countries where the wife does not change her surname and the child bears both father and mother surnames? Are you doubtful? Alright, take a look at the Wikipedia profiles of these two thespians, Daniel Padilla and Silvia Navarro. See? The reasons for women choosing not to change their surnames vary: 1. Identity: Some women feel it is not worth the stress. One married woman said, “Everyone knows me as Ms. T. Y. Changing my name and having all my documents bear Mrs T. Z. is totally unnecessary to me. What if an old contact wants to reach out to me and can’t find me by my original name? Abeg, I cannot jare. Besides, if it is not an issue in my home. My husband and the kids bear his surname. I bear my own. Everybody is fine.” 2. Equality: A woman changing her surname after marriage is one of the manifestations of gender superiority. It shows that the man’s identity is far more important than the woman’s and this should not be as man and woman both need each other to coexist. 3. Culture: History has shown us that in most African cultures in precolonial times, the woman always retained her family identity. Prior to her delivery of a bouncing baby girl, songstress Simi announced her pregnancy via her music video “Duduke“. This subsequently birthed a challenge where really pregnant Nigerian women did a few seconds video, dancing to “Duduke” with their very big bellies. Now, it’s no secret that most Naija women “hide” their pregnancies. This is an irony of a sort because you really can’t hide something that is protruding and stretching your cloth out for the world to see, can you? So how they “hide” it is by announcing to a few family members and friends and employers as situation demands. Why? Because there is the notion that announcing your own pregnancy with your own mouth especially on social media may draw evil attention your way and consequently harm the unborn child. So you know someone and most times do not know they were pregnant and the next thing you see on social media is, “I survived the labour room!” “My blue/pink plane has landed!” etc announcing the birth of the baby. READ ALSO: https://9jababa.com/women-who-give-men-their-money/ [HOW TRUE IS THIS STATEMENT?WOMEN WHO GIVE MEN THEIR MONEY ALWAYS REGRET IT] Now, let us come together and reason this matter: if announcing your pregnancy on social media may attract your village people to try to harm your unborn baby, why do you think these same village people cannot harm your child after s/he is born and you splash the pictures on social media? Or is it that after the birth of a baby, 100 years of long life on earth is guaranteed? It would seem that more and more couples are gradually tossing away the mentality that announcing your pregnancy on social media can cause harm to the unborn child. As a matter of fact, there are countless people who didn’t announce their pregnancies on social media or even to close family/friends yet still lost their pregnancies. There is a saying that what God does not keep cannot be kept. Yet, some observers harshly criticise African ladies who “expose” their pregnancies on social media even going as far as to leave really hateful comments/wishes on such photos. READ ALSO: https://9jababa.com/letter-to-barbers-around-the-world/ Ghanian YouTubers Nii and AJ vlogged their entire pregnancy journey up until the birth delivery. Unfortunately, they lost their son a few days after. While some of their subscribers sent them condolences/positive messages, people who were very eager to prove their “I told you so” jumped on the bandwagon as well with a commenter going as far as sending a, “I hope you have learnt your lesson” Continue reading at: https://9jababa.com/pregnant-nigerian-women-doing-the-duduke-challenge-is-it-safe/

Women should give more in my own opinion until they are married into the house. This is when the man should take over. |
https://9jababa.com/women-who-give-men-their-money/ Could it be true that women who give men their money always regret it? Giving in a relationship should be mutual: I give, you give. Usually, the guy in the relationship is expected to make the first move by giving his babe some money or any valuable gift item to show that “he is the man”. However, we don’t all play by this “rule”. Quite a number of ladies in relationships do not mind spending an arm and a leg on their boyfriends. For such ladies, it is simply in their nature to give. And is it not the Bible that says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave…”? While these ladies may not mind “performing the duty of a man” in the relationship as they give because they have good hearts, this behaviour has been criticised by some observers. Ladies who pay all the bills and generously assist their men financially with very little to no reciprocation from their men are termed by these observers as fools in love who are only headed for disaster. Fools because the observers say that no matter how poor a man might be, if he loves you, he will find a way to give you something precious. READ ALSO: https://9jababa.com/we-all-need-that-one-slap-that-will-catapult-us-into-greater-glory/ These observers say that a man should never be comfortable with receiving money or other gift items from his babe all the time. They believe that as a man, you should feel a bit of shame if your lady is the one who constantly shoulders the financial responsibilities in the relationship and that if you don’t, you’re not in love with her but only looking for how to chop and clean mouth. These observers further opine that if you look very well, the guy who is being spent on is taking all the gifts and money and spending it on another lady which could be his side chick or main chick. Truly, some ladies who have played the “Alpha Male part” in the relationship ended up with tales of regrets and bitterness and have even sworn that they would do no such thing again! READ ALSO: https://9jababa.com/tiwa-savage-new-album/ But another set of observers argue that for quite a long time, men have been shouldering the responsibility of providing money in the relationship and barely complain when their babes do not reciprocate. Why then are the ladies complaining when it’s their turn, they ask? Are they not the ones who want gender equality? CLICK HERE TO READ MORE: https://9jababa.com/women-who-give-men-their-money/ Should it be seen as normal if a lady takes on the role of a sole provider in the relationship and not complain because men do it and don’t complain? Or should she have a rethink and end the relationship if she feels that her love is not being reciprocated in equal measure?

There are four different methods that can be used to solve a quadratic equation. Which are: 1. Factorization; 2. Completing the square; 3. The general quadratic formula; 4. Graphical solution. Each of the four methods above can be used to solve specific types of quadratic equation, however our main focus shall be to apply the general quadratic formula also known as the “Almighty formula”. As the alias implies, it can be used to solve any standard quadratic equation. This formula works where all else have failed. For a standard quadratic equation of the form: ax2 + bx + c = 0; EXAMPLE: Solve 4x2-11x - 21 = 0 See more examples here: http://9jababa.com/how-to-solve-any-quadratic-equation-using-the-almighty-formula
