Anambra lawmaker, Maureen Chinwe Gwacham has come under fire after a viral video of her seconding a motion she has no idea about. In the viral clip from the Nigerian House of Representatives, the APGA lawmaker, who represents the Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, stood to support the motion as moved by a colleague during a plenary session. Moments later, the speaker was heard asking, “What motion is that?”, but Nigerians were left in shock when Honorable Maureen could not tell the motion. “You called me to second a motion,” exposing that she had no idea what she was endorsing. The roughly 25-second video has since sparked widespread outrage online. Social media users have described the moment as a glaring example of legislative unseriousness, with many questioning how lawmakers who “represent the people” can vote on issues without basic knowledge of them. Gwacham is one of only 17 women elected to the 10th National Assembly of 469 members comprising the Senate and House of Representatives.

Multiple reports suggest that the Nigerian Police took to their heels when the terrorists arrived at Angwan Rukuba and started shooting sporadically. A police post is located directly opposite one of the major scenes of the shooting, but according to residents, the Police were nowhere to be found as they all ran away.

Threats were issued, promises were made, that after the fast, there will be bad news, and they have now followed through. 14 have been counted dead as at this morning. It is alarming how these gunmen could enter a Christian area on motorcycles and open fire indiscriminately, attacking innocent people right in the heart of town. SpencerForbes:His exact spot was Varlaine Lounge, i dont stay in Jos, but i am from Jos, and i go home like every time, I know almost all the clubs in Jos, and I am abreast of the happenings. This happened about 4-5 days back, and he was caught at Varlaine Lounge, and i tell you, Varlaine Lounge is not cheap either. He does not need to buy a 150k drink for each girl; it's not a drinking competition. You are shifting the goal post from 3 nights to 3 drinks. The guy never said he was gonna do any, and the argument was that you can't do that in Lagos, but fortunately, you can do that with your 1.5m, just as well as you will in any other state. |

It's a big town, but everything is centralized, all the chilling spots, hotels, etc, are in one area, so if you are looking for someone you are sure will be at a chilling spot, you just need to enter rayfield and move around all the chilling spots there.I assure you, if the guy had run to another local government, eg, Kanke, Wase, etc, he will still be a free man, but he won't enjoy the money the way he wants there. |

A friend told me sangotedo was burning this morning but I thought he was joking, since I didn't leave my house. The road is becoming something else lately, just 2 days ago, a fuel tanker fell, causing total and complete shutdown of the road, the traffic was crazy. It's unfortunate. That is why i love the process of the church i attend. Before even counselling, you will be sent to a hospital owned by a respected Deacon in the church to run all the required tests. You have no business coming with the results, as the hospital will mail them directly to the church's Family Affairs department. Any result not from that hospital, then you need to go find another church to be joined together. I wonder how people do serious relationships without checking these things. Immediately I met my then-girlfriend and was sure I could settle with her, we went for the Genotype testsin 4 different hospitals and labs. One lab even gave me AS as a result, I just laugh cos dem no know wetin dem dey talk. My entire family, no one has any 'S'. Something that I have been checking since school days? EmperorIsaac:Mutfwang will definitely be voted back in no matter what party he is in, but as you know, the presidential elections are a different ball game entirely. If you know Plateau, you will know that if they don't like you, they don't like you. Wetin just dey pain me be say this man na from my state. Well, one thing I know is that Plateau people are not the type that can be swayed into voting who they don't want, (only those benefiting from APC in Jos are firm supporters) APC has never won the state in any Presidential election, and next year won't be an exception.
