CelebritiesPeller Proposes To Jarvis In Ghana by Cutezt(op): 1:40pm On Jun 04
In a rain-kissed nighttime setting that quickly set social media ablaze, popular Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, proposed to his frequent collaborator and fellow TikTok star Elizabeth Amadou, famously known as Jarvis (or Jadrolita).

The romantic gesture took place outdoors in Accra, Ghana, framed by an elaborate setup of glowing candles, a vibrant heart-shaped arch, and dramatic pyrotechnic sparklers. Despite a light drizzle, Jarvis accepted the proposal, marking a massive milestone for the duo whose collaborative videos have dominated West African social media feeds over the past year.

The public reception to the engagement highlights a growing trend among Gen Z digital creators—specifically those in their early 20s—who frequently blend their personal milestones with content creation to maximize audience engagement.

While thousands of fans flooded the comment sections with genuine congratulations, a significant wave of skepticism followed close behind. Because the duo built their massive brands on couple-themed comedy skits, viral challenges, and orchestrated internet drama, it remains unclear whether the proposal represents a genuine commitment or if it is simply the latest—and most elaborate—in their long history of publicity stunts.

CrimeRe: 7 Suspected Bandits Nabbed With Bullets, Machete At Baba Adisa, Ibeju Lekki by Cutezt(op): 5:03pm On Jun 01
Sccarrr:
Good one, flush everyone of them out
The fact that they’ve infiltrated Lagos is worrying enough.

I visited a friend around that axis early this year, and the sheer number of okada men was insane. It really shocked me because a few years back, I used to frequent that area, and I know how hard it was to even find an okada in the evening when people were coming back from work. Driving back, when I got to the bus stop, I was literally fighting for the road with them; they were absolutely everywhere.

Usually, bikes are scarce when people are coming home from work in this area, cos i stayed there for some time, but they were there in droves. I even turned to my friend and said, I won't be surprised if we hear bandits have taken over this area, because that sudden, massive influx is honestly alarming.

Crime8 Killed, Over 10 Injured In Fresh Plateau, Foron District Village Invasion by Cutezt(op): 12:30pm On Jun 01
Tragedy has once again struck Plateau State as an armed invasion by suspected Fulani terrorist gangs left a trail of death and critical injuries in Gwom-Ajang village, located in the Foron District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.

The late-night assault occurred at approximately 9:30 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the remote village situated about 15 miles southwest of Jos, the Plateau State capital. According to local sources, the attack specifically targeted a women’s gathering happening in the community.

Initial reports on the casualty count vary slightly between local witnesses and community leadership, placing the death toll between seven and eight people.

Local residents and eyewitnesses reported that the terrorists descended on the village suddenly, opening fire indiscriminately on the gathering. According to witnesses, the attackers spoke the Fulani language and were heard shouting "Allahu’Akbar" as they unleashed violence on the unsuspecting women and bystanders.

An official statement released shortly after the incident by Rwang Tengwong, the National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youths Moulder-Association (BYM), condemned the bloody raid:

"At least 8 persons have been reportedly killed in another armed invasion perpetrated by terrorist gangs of Fulani at about 9:30pm or thereabout of 31st May, 2026 in Gwon-Ajang village of Foron District, Barkin Ladi LGA," the statement read.

In the immediate aftermath of the gunfire, community members scrambled to assist the survivors. More than ten individuals sustained severe, life-threatening injuries during the attack.

The victims are currently being rushed to nearby medical facilities for urgent clinical attention. The atmosphere in Foron District remains incredibly tense as families await news on the condition of those hospitalized.

This latest incident adds to a troubling pattern of targeted violence in the Barkin Ladi axis, raising fresh anxieties regarding the security of rural communities in central Nigeria. Local leadership and youth groups have repeatedly called for stronger security interventions to safeguard vulnerable populations.

The Berom Youths Moulder-Association has indicated that they are closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds.

"More details would be furnished in due time," Tengwong assured.

No official statement has been released yet by the Plateau State Police Command or the military task force, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), regarding arrests or containment measures.

CelebritiesSkit Maker Mark Angel Remarries Years After Messy Divorce by Cutezt(op): 11:06am On Jun 01
Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Mark Angel has reportedly tied the knot in a traditional marriage ceremony, just months after a highly publicized and controversial split from his ex-wife, Mandy.

While details surrounding the identity of his new bride remain unverified, social media reports suggest he married a long-time partner.

The low-key traditional ceremony comes on the heels of severe allegations leveled against the content creator earlier this year. In January 2026, his ex-wife, Mandy, went public with shocking claims about the breakdown of their marriage. She alleged that Mark Angel had consistently pressured her into uncomfortable marital situations. Most notably, Mandy claimed that on their wedding night, he pressured her into participating in a party with a stranger—an allegation that subsequent online posts claim the comedian later admitted to.

News of the quick remarriage has ignited intense debate across Nigerian social media platforms. Rather than outright celebration, public reception has been heavily clouded by cynicism.

Mark Angel's management team has not yet issued an official statement regarding the wedding.

CelebritiesRapper Skepta Calls Out President Tinubu Over Insecurity In Nigeria by Cutezt(op):
Renowned British-Nigerian rapper and music executive Skepta has sparked intense debate across social media after directly calling out Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the worsening economic hardships and rampant insecurity plaguing the West African nation.

PoliticsRe: IGP Disu Warns Against Recording Police On Duty For Content Creation (Video) by Cutezt(m): 1:38pm On May 31
Idiot!! Who will just carry a camera and put on police officers face to create content? Are the officers comedians or dancers?

The sole reason why any sane individual will record is because of their own safety and as evidence, nobody records an officer for content except they have an agreement with the officer to do so, and in that case, you hold your officer responsible, not the content creator.

Personally, I don't even record to my phone, I just go live on Facebook straight, just in case anything happens, then after the whole ordeal, I will either delete or put the video on private.

The WHOLE of Oyo and ALL the country should have been SHUT DOWN immediately the attack happened.

But Nigerians are too USED to calamity.

Nigeria has Airforce.
Nigeria has Army.
Nigeria has Navy.

Nigeria has NSCDC.
Nigeria has US Military.

Yet children remain CAPTURED by illiterate TERRORISTS who use them to create TORTURE porn on Social Media.

How hard is it to DUMP all these UNIFORMED forkers in the forest until they EMERGE with those CAPTIVES or NOT emerge at all.

The degree of INSECURITY in Nigeria right now is UNPRECEDENTED.
Yet the ONLY time the President deemed it fit to declare a State of Emergency was to address Political Rascality.

MADNESS!
Lwt the country shut down because they captured a few yoruba people?

Has the country shut down since 2009 that they have been killing and capturing minority tribes on the middle belt? Or are yoruba people's lives more valuable than that of the middle beltans?

Bro, life goes on, weather they are released or not, nothing go happen, the demon you turned a blind eye to for almost a decade, is now right at your door step.

PoliticsConfusion In Plateau PDP As Factions Produce Two Governorship Candidates by Cutezt(op): 3:09pm On May 29
Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been plunged into further confusion as two factions of the party have produced two separate governorship candidates for the 2027 general elections in the state.

The two factions backed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and Tanimu Turaki, conducted their primaries during the week and nominated two different candidates for the upcoming elections.

The Wike group which conducted its primary on Tuesday, nominated businessman and philanthropist, Kefas Ropshik, popularly known as Kefiano, as its candidate while the Turaki faction conducted its own primary and nominated a retired permanent secretary and former gubernatorial aspirant, Sunday Garba Biggs as its candidate.

While announcing Biggs as the authentic flag bearer of the PDP, the Turaki faction’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Felix Choji, said he was the only recognized aspirant and had passed the screening exercise conducted by the party’s committee in Abuja.

According to Choji, the screening outcome had automatically qualified Biggs as the PDP candidate in the state pending a formal affirmation scheduled for later this week.

“He is the only aspirant who submitted the expression-of-interest form. The party has cleared him and will formally affirm him as our gubernatorial candidate,” Choji said.

Earlier, the Wike-backed faction in a statement, had said that Ropshik was the only candidate recognized and accepted by the party and any other candidate produced by the opposing faction was not an acceptable aspirant.

The nomination of the two aspirants by the two factions of the same party has however, thrown party members into confusion and has raised the question as to which candidate will be recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the election.

The emergence of two governorship candidates from rival PDP factions has once again highlighted the lingering internal crisis within the party in the state, raising questions about reconciliation and legitimacy as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

PoliticsI Am Banking On Nigeria Not To Get Better, So I Will Support Tinubu - Keji Giwa by Cutezt(op): 2:02pm On May 29
Prominent real estate developer Keji Giwa, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Landlords and Giwa Gardens Water Park, has ignited fierce public backlash across social media following a series of controversial remarks regarding his political alignments, business strategies, and views on the Nigerian economy.

In a podcast episode that has gone viral, the UK-trained entrepreneur openly declared his backing for President Bola Tinubu's administration, stating that his endorsement is rooted purely in calculated business interests. More strikingly, Giwa admitted that he is actively "banking on" Nigeria's economic situation not improving.

Addressing potential concerns about local instability or inflation, Giwa remarked that his family remains entirely insulated from the day-to-day economic struggles facing average citizens. "Whether Nigeria gets better or not, I’m perfectly okay," citing his family's reliance on private schooling and accumulated generational wealth.

The comments immediately triggered a wave of condemnation from the Nigerian public and diaspora communities. Online commentators quickly labeled the developer's stance as "selfish," "exploitative," and emblematic of a detached billionaire class that thrives precisely because of systemic failures, poor governance, and corruption.

Giwa has previously drawn criticism for stating that poor income distribution in Nigeria benefits his enterprise by allowing him to pay lower local wages.

This is not the first time the real estate mogul has found himself in the crosshairs of public outrage. Just months ago, Giwa faced intense scrutiny over a podcast appearance where he openly prayed for the UK government to deport his former employees who had migrated abroad, claiming they had "used and abused" his company after receiving training.

Beyond his public commentary, Giwa’s business practices are facing direct pressure from disgruntled clients. A series of investigative reports and public complaints have exposed severe investor unrest within his primary companies, Digital Landlords and Giwa Gardens.

Several high-profile investors—including a US-based psychiatric technician who invested ₦19 million and a Lagos-based developer with ₦8.16 million trapped—have come forward to accuse Giwa of withholding both their capital and promised returns on investment (ROI) for up to five years. Investors claim that requests for refunds have been met with evasion, legal pushback, and social media blocking, further dampening public trust in his high-profile coastal development proposals like the newly unveiled "Eko Miami."

PoliticsTinubu's Answer To Reporter's Insecurity Question Draws Mixed Reactions by Cutezt(op): 12:46pm On May 28
A viral 59-second clip of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has ignited a wave of mixed reactions across social media.

The footage, captured by Channels TV during a public event, shows the President addressing the nation's persistent security challenges in a delivery style that has left citizens deeply divided.

When questioned about Nigeria’s insecurity crisis, Tinubu emphasized that the core issue boils down to "the law" and the "obedience of law." He further sought to highlight the sanctity of human life over banditry by referencing an ancient scripture.

"Even in the beginning of life, where we take this from, a child was replaced with animal," Tinubu said, invoking the story of Abraham’s sacrifice to underscore the value of human existence. "And that is what the value of life is all about."

The clip quickly went viral, reflecting a polarized public mood amidst growing frustration over ongoing security threats. Critics on platforms like X mocked the President's delivery, characterizing his meandering style as incoherent and disconnected from the urgency of Nigeria's security realities.

Conversely, some defenders interpreted his remarks as a profound religious and moral plea for law, order, and the preservation of human life. They argued that the analogy, though unconventional, targeted the core spiritual and legal principles needed to combat banditry.

As Nigeria continues to battle complex security threats, the intense online debate underscores the heightened scrutiny on the presidency, proving that for many Nigerians, the manner in which leadership communicates is just as vital as the policies they implement.

PoliticsFulani Herdsman Confronts Man Recording His Cow In Abuja by Cutezt(op): 12:05pm On May 28
A video making rounds on social media captures a tense moment on Abuja’s Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway, where a Fulani herdsman aggressively warned a motorist against filming his cattle.

“Don’t video my cows. You can video me, but don’t ever video my cows next time,” the herdsman declared, asserting that both vehicles and livestock share equal rights to the road.

The confrontation, recorded on camera on Thursday morning, highlights ongoing friction over open grazing in Nigeria’s capital. The herder blamed rural banditry for driving livestock into urban areas, urging authorities to “flush out the bandits in the bush” so herders could return. He argued that his cows are valuable property, just like the driver’s car.

The incident has ignited heated debates online. Many Nigerians expressed frustration over cattle disrupting traffic in a modern city, questioning government inaction on ranching reforms.

This episode underscores a persistent national challenge: the clash between traditional herding practices and urban development. Despite repeated promises from officials to curb open grazing since 2023, cows continue to roam major roads in Abuja, raising safety concerns and testing public patience. As calls for sustainable solutions grow louder, the video serves as a vivid reminder of unresolved tensions that continue to shape everyday life in Nigeria.

I alway say it, the south dey suffer when it comes to food.

The quality of food a very rich man in the south eat, is almost the same or even of less quality than that of a poor/average earner in the middle belt.

South no get food normally, to eat varieties and eat well, you need to be wealthy. I was in Jos with my fiance in December, she went to buy bell pepper and asked the woman to give her 1k bell pepper, the woman asked her what she is using that much pepper for? She says she wants to cook, normally one small bell pepper in Lagos is #500, so she thought she was probably getting maybe 5 for 1k in Jos, but when the woman started putting, my girlfriend had to remind her again that it's 1k own she asked for o.

She came back with a full black nylon of bell pepper and it got spoilt at the end of the day, and this is in the street o, not even the market.

Before we left, she went to the market to buy 1k bell pepper, she came back with 2 big nylon of bell pepper, i gave her 15k to buy foodstuffs, na big Ghana must go and plenty nylons we use come back, she had to chatter a marwa to bring it back home, and my friends wife still said they cheated her.

I had to giveaway some of the foodstuff cos I no dey for extraordinary charge at the airport.
