SLTV itself has improved its picture quality a lot since that post a year ago, so whatever decoder you get, there won't be any difference. In fact, the older decoders can get FTA, but these new ones can't, however, the new ones can scan automatically for new channels, while the old one requires you to manually scan for them. That's the only plus. The dealer is only trying to take more money from you.
