A candidate might have the spread and still not win the highest votes and another can win the highest votes and still not have the spread.
If both scenarios happens,then both will go into run offs but I don't see this happening.

Learn from the best countries of the world. Buhari failed Nigerians because he didn't listen to call for total restructuring. Nigeria is too big for the Government to handle from Abuja. For the records obi is winning SS and SE landslide while NC and SW he is also gaining some grounds... For either APC or PDP to win this election they must need to form a coalition which I don't see dat coming.. PDP n APC will massively share votes in NW n NE while in kano, kwakwanso will try to win his state to show his superiority in kano n northern politics and also win some house of reps and Senate position in his party, so he won't become politically handicap in kano or in the north.

You are quite right but there are 19 states in the north but with 13 of it form the core north.
Obi can't get 25% in any of these states.
