Negro_Ntns: John Akpabu was not a suicide bomber. He was part of a staging for a dramatic event at a future date. His detection and arrest were choreographed.
My brother u av summarised it all. I can't imagine myself as a suicide bomber, having accepted to die for a cause, allow myself to be caught with all those explosives.

Yes i believe same. Am an Igbo guy who was born n bread in Lagos, i take Ikorodu where i grew up as my place n i represent Ikorodu where ever i find myself.
If people inter-live there wouldn't be unnecessary tribalism.
Am proud to be Igbo!

i be ibo boy from imo state, but i love dbanj and am proud of what his doing..both dbanj and donjazzy are good. the fact that oliver twist was mixed by donjazzy doesnt mean the whole credit should go to donjazzy for makin the beat..what about dbanj who spent his time crackin his brain to write ''oliver twist'' .am a talented song writer, and i know how hard it is to write good song like ''oliver twist"...so my brothers from the east dont hate dbanj, because his not ibo..he did nothing wrong by leaving donjazzy, nobody would like 2be under someone forever...leave all the beefin and thank God that dbanj is makin it in Uk..i believe that one day,God wil bless me and make me a superstar as how he made dbanj today..up chelsea, up dbanj, up donjazzy. i love u all.

PoliticsBoko Haram Threatens To Bomb Senates President House by CY09(op): 8:32am On May 21, 2012
BY PETER DURU
MAKURDI — Otukpo, the home of the Senate President, David Mark and headquarters of Idoma land in Benue State was at the weekend plunged into deep fear following alleged text messages being circulated of plans to bomb the town by a militant Islamic sect.

The development forced security operatives to mount intensive security patrols around the town to forestall any security breach. Vanguard gathered that the Islamic sect last week sent text messages to security agents alerting them of plans to bomb the police station in the town, the Otukpo Main Market and St Mary’s Church, among others.

However, security agents in the area, not cowed by the threat went round the town with security vehicles including armoured personnel carriers, APCs in company of vigilante members, Okada riders and other well meaning members of the town to denounce the threat.

Senate President David Mark

The development has thrown the town and its surroundings into a state of uncertainty as residents kept away from public gatherings, including church services yesterday.

Vanguard recalls that sometime last January, the town was also thrown into similar security threat when members of the sect were alleged to have visited the town and had gone round with the aid of commercial motor cyclists to locate their probable sites for bombing.

The police in the area, at the time, using its plain cloth detectives went into surveillance in order to identify members of the sect or those that may have link with them.

In the main, the Police in the state have fortified surveillance and security at its commands with the erection of heavy iron barricades at its entry points which makes it difficult for anybody to force his way into the premises.

When contacted, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Alaribe Ejike said he was yet to be informed about the development.

Police in APCs and members of the vigilante groups were patrolling Otukpo streets yesterday after residents received text messages from members of the Boko Haram sect who threatened to bomb the town.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/05/pandemonium-over-threat-to-bomb-senate-presidents-home/

I wonder what makes David Mark so special that he should be provided with such amount of security. I feel is high time our so called political leaders start feeling the wrath of this Islamic sect so that they will understand what we are passing and may be it will stir them towards providing a lasting solution to the security crisis.

bittyend: Why all the hate? Someone is trying to break the ceiling, and make afrobeats bigger, yet you guys want to hate him because he isn't from your tribe.. Must everything be about tribe?? If Don Jazzy made D'banj, let him make another D'banj, simples... Only time will tell if he can make another one because people love D'banj not only because of his music, but because of who D'banj is..

To be honest, if it's a tribal thing, you guys should leave it.. Yoruba people make the best music in Nigeria, period... All the musicians who have brought fame to Nigeria are mostly Yoruba, you just can't hate on what's God given...

Roll Call:

- Fela Kuti.
- Femi Kuti.
- Sade Adu.
- Seal.
- Wale.
- Majek Fashek.
- King Sunny Ade.
- Lighthouse family..

The list is endless... Let the guy be, and let him enjoy his fame. He wasn't born with fame and riches, he achieved it.. Rather than hating on the guy, why can't you just acknowledge what he's doing?? At the end of the day, none of you guys buy his records; leave those who pay to see him and buy his records to be the judge... You haters should be more concerned with those politicians looting your national wealth, than a guy who hasn't taken anything from you..

Leave D'banj the phuck alone, I would love to be in his shoes...

The nuclear reactors in Japan still need a lot of hugs, you can do humanity a favour by hugging them if you hate a hardworking guy achieving greatness mofos.
U spoke well in ur 1st paragraph but I wonder y u had 2 delve in to tribalism. Talking about achievements, every trbe av areas where dey av made dia mark. No one or tribe has it all so instead of inciting tribalism stick to da topic.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: FA Cup Final: Chelsea Vs Liverpool (2 - 1) On 5th May 2012 by CY09: 1:49pm On May 04, 2012
mukina2: Back in the days of Jose Mourinho and Rafael Benitez, Chelsea versus Liverpool was as keenly-fought an engagement as any in English football. The two went head-to-head so often that they became as sick of the sight of each other as the rest of the nation was of watching a series of attritional battles that were won by a single goal at best. A pair of 0-0 draws in the group stages of the 2005-06 Champions League was the nadir.

Those were halcyon days for both clubs. They were among Europe's best with two of the best coaches in the game. The last time the pair met in a major final was the Carling Cup final of 2005, where Mourinho won his first trophy at Chelsea on a day where Steven Gerrard, heavily rumoured to be joining the Blues that summer, scored an own-goal he later described as "one of the lowest days I've had as a footballer".

At 31, Gerrard is now the veteran one-club man whose experience of the big occasion is expected to carry his team-mates through. His opposite number is John Terry, the same age and similarly loyal to the club where he made his bones. Both lead clubs whose 2011-12 has been soap operatic but now has a chance to end in glory.

Should Gerrard lift a second cup for Kenny Dalglish, to follow February's skin-of-teeth triumph over Cardiff City in the Carling Cup, then this can be remembered as a season of marked success for Liverpool. Despite pitiful home league form at Anfield, the abandonment of hopes of returning to the Champions League and the Luis Suarez affair, there will be no asterisk next to the club's name in the record books' roll of honour.

With Chelsea's push to qualify for next season's Champions League via the Premier League all but denied by Papiss Cisse's rocket-guided shooting in midweek, this is likely to be Terry's last chance to make a meaningful contribution this season. Thanks to his own recklessness, he must sit out the continental showpiece in Munich in a fortnight.

Terry and co, and especially Didier Drogba, are old stagers at Wembley while Liverpool are making only their third visit to the five-year-old stadium. Having been favourites in both their previous visits, including the Merseyside derby semi-final with Everton, Liverpool are slight underdogs this time. That perhaps plays into the hands of Dalglish since his team have noticeably performed better against bigger teams than supposed lesser lights. Tuesday's no-show against Fulham saw precisely nobody of his second string play their way into contention for a final spot, and confirmed the squad's struggles against supposedly inferior opposition.

For Chelsea, the reign of Andre Villas-Boas, barely two months ago, seems a world away. Roberto Di Matteo has brought unity, and some tactical nuances that would probably appal "AVB" but have been markedly more successful than the man he once assisted. In delivering Chelsea to Munich, and Wembley once more, he has given himself a more than fighting chance of being the next Chelsea boss.

Both he and Dalglish have the chance to put previous ills behind them via the ever-reliable panacea of silverware.

Chelsea player to watch: Didier Drogba: Chelsea's Wembley wizard confirmed his love of this stage with a tremendous opening goal in the semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool have been a particular speciality in the past too, and Jamie Carragher specifically has often been on the wrong end of Drogba at his unplayable best. Despite Fernando Torres' recent rush of form, Liverpool fans will have to wait to boo him, since the two do not work as a pair and Drogba is almost always the man for the big occasion.

Liverpool player to watch
: Luis Suarez: For those invested in the brave new world of social media, then the most-discussed player of the 2011-12 season has been Suarez and all will know the reasons why. That debate will probably continue to pointlessly bubble on for years to come but the Uruguayan can be remembered for far more positive reasons should he put in a match-winning performance here. It was his instinct and coolness that turned the semi-final with Everton when he seized on Sylvain Distin's error to pull his team level. More of the same will be required at Wembley.

Key battle - Roberto Di Matteo v Kenny Dalglish: The cynic may suggest that both are battling to be in their current job next season. Di Matteo's remit would seem to be winning the Champions League or bust, though the small matter of an FA Cup may help his cause. In the light of Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho looking unavailable it may just be enough to get him the gig. Dalglish meanwhile, is still the untouchable legend among the majority of fans so any departure would still seem to be in his own hands. It would take a brave Fenway Sports Group to axe him if he wins this trophy. In terms of on-field matters, Di Matteo seems to employ horses for courses, with the renaissance of Salomon Kalou being a notable result of this, while Dalglish's pride would seem to dictate that he will field as many of his big-name signings as possible. So, expect Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll to play their part.

Trivia: On all three occasions Liverpool had beaten Everton in an FA Cup semi-final before this season, the Reds went on to lose the final.

Stats: Excluding the Community Shield, Didier Drogba has scored in all seven of his matches at Wembley. Suarez has scored in all three of his FA Cup appearances for the Reds.
