I have lot of friends that are waiting till the last episode before they start downloading and watching. Do you think those set of guys will visit this type of thread??

here is what i believe, i think that guy go get deal with HBO to periodically leak small info for the show so as to make am more interesting to fans.

HBO was actually hacked and the script were stolen (episode 1-4 script had been released months before it was July...) even with the hack games of Thrones season 7 has been a success... breaking records as the most streamed tv series in one night and most pirated . People don't go through all those stress of hacking an overhyped series....

At the End she got the last Laugh. She went out like a Legend she is. Cersei didnt outsmart her. Cersei outsmarted Tyrion and Dany Listening to Tyrion. If u remember in last episode she told Dany not to be a sheep but a dragon. That she has seen alot of clever men but she has outlived them all cause they were all sheeps. Now with her death she has provoked Dany with her words if u watch next episode preview, you hear Dany saying "I'm done with clever plans" she is now embracing Olenna's word and being a dragon. So Even in death The Lady Olenna stays winning. And let's not forget how she played Jamie drinking the poison before revealing it was she who killed Geoffrey. Getting the last laugh and a painless death while still taunting cersei. Just imagine when Cersei hears Olenna killed Geoffrey and got off so easily. Olenna remains the smartest character on GOT and she got the best death. She was old anyways and had nothing to loose. She has planted her words deep in Danys heart. And you'll see those words grow from the next episode.

You've got to love GoT because one of the best scenes ever is where a grandma had an open confession of killing a child. (Totally savage).. Lady Ollena is sure going to be missed....and just like you have rightly pointed out, she will awaken the dragon even in death.

My thoughts on this episode. I think Jamie made a very big mistake going after high garden. The reason why grand mother olenna is still the mother of savages. (Did anyone notice when the Dothraki horde attacked the lannisters on the official trailer?) that was high garden if I'm not mistaken, and drogon came to the party. well, high garden is an open field, no army can stand (except the night king's army ^^) the Dothraki horde in an open field. And I'm very sure yara Greyjoy won't die.

Yea!! I feel the Dothrakis will ambush Jamie and their loots.... The lannisters are not good in an open battles and probably that's why Tywinn didn't attack the high-garden knowing fully well that it might expose the weaknesses of his soldiers.

I'm still yet to understand the point of Greyscale and the significance of Sam curing Mormot . . . .if there isn't a huge outbreak of Greyscale across the country then that whole plot will seem like an unnecessary diversion.

@bolded I feel one of the significance of Sam curing sir Jorah is that Danny needs a war strategist in her cabinet right now... Sir Jorah will come in handy. I'm sure he's heading straight to drangonstone and we might well see another time travelling of a westerousy. ..

Cersei might have outwitted Lady Olenna but that revelation about poisoning Joffery is pleasing enough to me, i hate the way Cersei is getting her revenges but i know they are(show runners) setting up for an epic fall.

I hate the meeting between Jon and Dany because i don't want Jon to drag her to this White walkers mess just like he dragged the great general Stannis Baratheon. Isn't the white walkers gonna affect all?

All the talk about the Army of the dead and none is bothering Cersei, yet Dany told Jon that what if she usurp Cersei and take control over Westeros she will join in the battle against the dead, but Jon told her there is no time.


Going to fight the walkers on Dany part is just like preserving Westeros for Cersei or what do you all think?

GoT is just the best.... so much for the theories ehnn?? Now that Cersie Jamie and Maester Qyburn are winning and outsmarting Tyrion and Danny on every move ( I think tyrion should stop underrating Cersie)....thank goodness ser Jorah has bn healed.

Game of Thrones is an unusual series. It doesn't get really interesting until the midway through the second season as the plot gradually builds up. However, the fact that the series was able to accommodate so many different and intriguing character storylines for so long without the scriptwriters or the teeming audience getting confused, stands it out. It also reflects the age-long fascinating power-play that has shaped the direction of the world since time immemorial, which a lot of people can relate to.

The above notwithstanding, for a series to be considered as the best, it should be able to provide that GRIPPING, EDGE-OF-THE-SEAT, JAW-DROPPING, ORGASMIC moments/story lines CONSISTENTLY for the most part. In this regard, it is my humble opinion that no series (1990s till date) has delivered on this better than PRISON BREAK and 24, which I consider both as the best fictional things to happen to Television. The enjoyment I get from GOT, although sustained, has not reached that gripping, intense, "go-all day without food" level I get from seeing 24 and Prison Break. The only area GOT performs better is its multi-faceted storyline while Prison Break and 24 tend to portray events only from Michael Scofield or Jack Bauer's perspective respectively. However, this does not translate to being more interesting.

For me, ratings do not provide the complete picture. It will surprise you that the series with the highest ratings ever are the soapy, boring, or regular ones that I don't even consider half as interesting such as Oz, Breaking Bad, The West Wing, Friends, Battlestar Galactica, Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, The Wire etc, most of which are rated above GOT, 24 and PBreak. This may be attributed to diverse tastes of global viewers especially one-half of the world's population (female folk) who generally do not prefer action-laced thrillers or complex intrigues.

@bolded only breaking bad is at per to Game of thrones in terms of rating judging by the 3 high ranked critics

Truth be told, action series 24, prison break, Blacklist, Homeland, steike back etc) get lesser ratings from critics like IMDb, tv.com, rotten tomatoes, and that is based on lot of characteristics (such as casts, plots, dialogue, effects, customes, themes, storyline etc). .. besides Breaking Bad, Oz, the Wire, Narcos, Walking dead are actually lovely series. ...

these aforementioned movies are master class ,I purposely didn't see Game of thrones. (let me say I purposely skipped it cause of the frenzy around it though I know its going to be a master class, I can just deal with such a complex movie spanning up to 8th season mehn I can't)

all the series up there are tested trusted guaranteed for education, Class, intellectualism history epic sex politics intrigues betrayals and all form of twist

@bolded GoT has only at most10 Episode per season and 24 (20+ episodes =9 season) if that's the reason you didn't watch the former over the latter.. I'd say you just didn't want to follow the frenzy and not because the series is long.


PS. The Op decided to add Game of throne and 4 others as the topic of the thread shows GoT isn't overhyped.... He could have just said 5 overhyped series in Nigeria and nobody will even open the thread....

Guys, which actors do you think are the best and worst on the show, in terms of their acting?

It's hard to choose the worst actors in GOT because they have all done a very perfect job...but I'll take the acting of Tommen and those sand snakes girls, then I think Euron is not really showing a vicious villain. .

Best actors in no particular order however, will be, Tywinn, Tyrion, Arya, Joeffery, Bronn, Lady Ollena, Jon; Cercie, Sandor, Varys and Little finger

I have noticed that some people have watch too many american movie and are equating it to reality,
My own view after watching the full clip of the cctv

1. you will realize that the robbers car was already outside the bank premises long before the Honda accord car came inside, the robbers had to reverse from their parked position and try to make a way into the bank by parking in-between the gate for a better chance of getaway.

2. There were more than one policeman in the tiny security post (which is tactically wrong)

3. it is actually harder to aim directly at you target using an AK-47 ( AK-47 is an assault rifle and not a defense weapon)

4. The robbers had more magazines than the policemen

5. the dead robber actually got some of the policemen in the security post injured when he shot sporadically at the post

6. the dead robber was foolish enough to enter the post thinking he had incapacitated all the force men in the security post

7, the policeman that ran out of the security post did that not only to save his injured colleagues but to save his own life too... ( it will be easy for the remaining two robbers to riddle the post with bullet and kill all inside.
