Hello gurus
please help me. By next week it will be one month we got medical request and we had upfront already and have sent to all webforms and emails but till now it hasnt been updated. someone gave me a number which i called and was told that i should contact nairobi as the application is there. Pls anyone with nairobi phone number should help me as i am sacred of what may happen if they dont see the medicals after 30 days. i have sent uncountable times to the nairobi webform and emails.

please anyone who has had this experience should please help me. This medical request in on the VV application not the SOWP. Same thing happened with the sowp which was in october 2021, after we sent upfront medicals, it took till feb this year for them to update it. I am super worried and loosing sleep, please offer guidance if this has happened to u.

Please house who has encountered this issue and how was it resolved. i got medical request 12 days ago and i sent a webform immediately. i have still sent it 3 times and sent email twice over these 12 days and yet no reply and it hasnt been updated. owing to the fact that we were given 30 days which is seriously counting down. i am confused. anyone who has been in the shoes should please help. Most applications from Nigeria are processed in Nairobi, so send to Nairobi. You may also send to some other ones like Lagos and Abuja.

Pls since i dont know the visa office where my application is, where should i send the webform to cos the form is asking me that question.

so i went through your past posts to try to understand what your whole situation is, and if i am correct you applied for your 6 and 4 years old kids and your husband in one application? however the 6 year old should be applying for a study visa and not a visitor visa because the child is above 5, however all these are very adjustable in canada.

your situation isnt dire, your husbands sowp will not waste as much time as an applicant applying for sowp without any accompanying applications. the only thing you may need to start doing is be aggressive, i sent exemption webform 2ce and IRCC threatened that if you send more than once they will deny you and yet i still got PPR. try getting a gcms note as well, it makes them pick up your application to process the gcms note. another option is emailing an MP and asking to process urgent request and highlight why your husband and your kids need to be reunited with their mum.

children in canada are subjected to free education, they barely ask for info or papers until you are of college age so the child will go to school while you correct that 6 years olds issue. in canada applications are treated very fast so it should be out within 2 months for the kid.

please dont do another application thats waste of money for your situation, applications like yours are usually sorted out without taking too much time. you have to just be a bit more aggressive with nairobi office, send emails everyday and reach out to your MP for that urgent processing. they went on holiday from Wednesday and will resume on the 3rd of January in the MPs offices. so before then send emails, weforms and spam IRCC.

congratulations again Sam. is it true that if my husband come on a visiting visa and myself who is a student and hasnt spent one year in canada, then my kids cannot access free education? pls its this info that has kept me from applying for visiting visa on the new portal. pls do u have this info, and do u know how long it is expected to take to now get SOWP from inside canada? i am frustrated here especially because of my kids who ve been largely affected. thank you

I will be a big ingrate if i dont give back to where i collected and shared so much vital information on.

ok so basically guys the honest truth is SOWP is still dragging, I dont want to give you false hope. this situation that has happened to me is like when a duck is gracefully swimming above water but the legs are paddling like crazy under.

first of all if you can get a reasonable MP that is patient and will request an urgent processing. when i gave up on my SOWP was when i processed an urgent processing from my MP and IRCC indirectly told him that it will be ignored. that was the straw that broke the camels back. the MP told me to contact him in 4 months to attempt again, meanwhile i was already on my 6th month in October then. I proceeded to apply for visit visa on October 27th and did an exemption webform. 30 working days passed and still nothing, at this point i started sending webforms again up and down.

frustration set in for me as my 8 months SOWP was totally off the table and i had put it on the back-burner and was chasing the Visit visa under reuniting with immediate family.i reached out to the MP again to do an inquiry on my Visit visa and it came back with their usual rubbish, so i decided to do an urgent request on that one where i attached screenshots of numerous application timelines of people in my similar situation getting their visit visa in mere days meanwhile i was on my 39th working day.

i used the gc key to apply for both applications I was getting desperate and wanted to do another visit visa application with the fast portal, i came to find out on nairaland that it was generally October applications that were being ignored. the use of gc key came to be my saving grace as they must have treated both my applications as one general eligibilty test and then gave me my PPR.

guys my long and short is sending webforms indiscriminately is not enough please be strategic, if your own MP for your area is being difficult, claim you are from another postcode and email the MP there and test your luck. also it is very worthy to note that as usual stand alone SOWP are still not being prioritised, so if you can apply for a visit visa.

Hi,

You (the visitor visa applicant) need to write a 2-3 pages cover letter like your LOE/SOP justifying why you need the written authorization with one or more section explaining how you meet the eligibility requirements (see the instruction link and click "How to Unite with Family Members" for more details).

Generally, your letter should have introduction summarizing what you are requesting and why. You then use each of next paragraphs to show one eligibility criteria at a time. The number of criteria you meet and are trying to explain will determine total pages of your letter. Then you need a concluding paragraph of course.

Typically, you show;
Evidence of immediate family members related to a temporary resident in Canada
How travel will ensure family reunification and provide mutual support system for you and them
Proof you vaccination status and show evidence
If you have kids going and they have received or applied for study visa's then say something about enrolling kids in school

Finally, you will add documents to support your claims because the unit in-charge won't go and search for you.
Copy of visa(s) and study permit, LOI from when they got visa, SIN, LOA, passport copy, enrollment verification of person in Canada to show their temporary status
If the applicant already has visa approved or LOI or PPR, they must add some or all of these.
Proof of relationship with the person -- marriage certificate, birth certificate for you two and your kids to show your relationship, any other document to proof this. BUT NO Family Pictures -- they specifically said not to add these.
Add the full vaccination records for both of you.

Merge together in pdf with the cover letter and make size less than 3MB then attach. Remember to add all your UCI numbers in the letter and/or body of the web form, if accepts. NB: Body of the web form accepts limited info but still needs a summary or abstract of everything without duplicating what you already have in the letter.

i applied on the 11 of oct for sowp and visitors visa for my two kids. upfront medicals done 21st oct but has not been updated till now. i am also worried i did not put any covid exemption on the applications. any advice plss, should i use this new portal and do visitors visa for all of them again?

if you dont get it, send a mail. mine didnt come neither did counterfoil drop and it was over 10 days after my passport had come back. i wrote them and both dropped 30mins after d mail with a mail apologising for the delay.

See how I responded in uppercase and then even emphasized the alacrity with which you must do it! I made the same mistake of not doing medical for my 2 year old son who applied for visitor while the older ones who applied for study permit did. IRCC requested medical for my son 4 months later we now did it. Better you do it upfront or add via webform if you already submitted. BTW, am not sure why you are applying for visitor visas for the kids when they are eligible for the faster route of study permit if one of their parents is a bona-fide study permit holder.[/quote]

Lianna pls my kids are 6 years and 4 years, i applied for visitors visa for them while moine is SOWP. do they need to do medicals? sp that we can just all travel at once
