Are you sure about this?. I have the same issue as well, I have gone to renew my passport but they told me that it will take 6 weeks and I need to resume September 1st.
I still have a year validity on my passport but they said they need a year and 3 months validity on the requirements page.

Before I though it was that passport will be valid 3 months before visa application without knowing that is 3 months after your said program or returned date. I just noticed it last 2 Friday and I have paid my tuition. So I made some calls they said I can't renew till after six months, I called my guy that works in immigration before, he connects me with his friend in Abuja. And they said it can't be done in any state except abuja, I prepare and went to abuja on Monday he did the registration and capturing on Tuesday and on Friday I got my passport. But he told me that it will take maximum 3 weeks but I got it within a week. You can DM let me show you the passport

Pls i just called my plug i was told they are still waiting on my nin confirmation did it take much of you time

I did it In Abuja, the I was connected to the guy that was working inside the data capturing room. He told me maximum 3 weeks but something might happen and I will get it before then. I was surprised when he send it yesterday

Based on experience lithuania is way easy and more costly but the visa success rate is also high

On behalf of a friend is there any school someone can apply for master with upper credit (HND GRADUATE) in poland!

Someone talked about not being to get a passport if it has above 6months validity. That's actually not true except for the fact that it can only be processed at the immigration headquarters, Abuja.
Mine was about 8 months validity and wasn't ready to take chances.

Please go and renew your passport before booking an appointment.

It will be so frustrating to book an appointment now and you're turned back by the VO for not having up to 1 year passport validity left.

Someone I know was turned back for having 6 months left.

It’s not a big deal, just to show that the passport details you gave was not falsified.use rubber vand to join the m together so they can easily cross reference. As mentioned here, you won’t be issued a new passport if the current one still has more than 6 months validity. Just go ahead with your process...you put your return date earlier than when your course will end/passport will expire. Apart from that sef, you can renew your passport in Nigeria’s embassy over there. These things aren’t a big deal

Only attached the old and the new passport together. U don't need to update ur school document. Or olds passport is still valid. visa issued will be on the old passport

Listen bro or Ma, go ahead and Apply with your visa.. simply means your return flight ticket will be 3 months before may 2022.
Immigration will not reissue another passport if u still have over 6 months Validity. And guess what Embassy will never deny you visa based on this.

You can get another passport next year and join both together with rubber band.. its not something to stress about..
