queensera: A couple and their son have been arrested for breaking into a house at No. 8 Ade Onitiri, Harmony Estate, Langbasa, Ajah, Lagos, with the aid of the son’s girlfriend.
It was gathered that the burglary occurred when the owner of the house, Folashade Odunuga, embarked on a 3-month vacation. Tega Teddy's girlfriend, Karima Edom, a close neighbour of the victim, allegedly passed information of the victim's absence to her boyfriend.
Uroye Teddy, 45, and Margaret Teddy, who are parents of 18-year-old Tega, also aided in the theft. The stealing had been going on for weeks until the victim's househelp, Eniola Abisola, visited.
She couldn't understand how the thieves entered the apartment as all doors to the house remained closed.
She immediately alerted the police. Ddetectives checked on all in the neighbourhood and the stolen Chevrolette Aveo saloon car was found parked in front of Tega’s parents' house.
He was promptly arrested. During interrogation, he revealed that he entered the victim's house through the ceiling and gradually, he began to pack the household items to his father's house.
He narrated that his mother helped him to hide the stolen items in an uncompleted building while his girlfriend, Karima, hid some in her house.
The suspect, Tega, further revealed that his father went with him to the victim's house to tow the aforementioned car. It was seen that Mrs Teddy had put the stolen properties for sale.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects include: Chevrolette, 42 inches flat screen TV, LG Home theatre sound system, electric generator, one standing fan, 5 leather bags, an iPad,baby shoes and other personal items.

Crime › Re: SARS Officers Torture Driver Over Lost Bag, But Owner Misplaced It At Airport by cytell56: 12:49pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
winkmart: A Taxify driver, John Otuechere, who was wrongly accused by his passenger of stealing her bag and eventually tortured by the SARS operatives she reported to, has filed for charges over violation of his human rights.
The driver added that he was arrested, detained and tortured on the order of one Mrs Alice Isah.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Isah who came back into the country from training in Dubai on Sunday, July 15, had called the Taxify driver to pick her up from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and drop her off at her residence on Lekki Gardens Estate, Lagos State.
Otuechere said while they were on the way, his car developed a fault which prompted him to park to examine the vehicle.
He said:
“We were on the Third Mainland Bridge when my car started making an unusual sound. I did not stop because it was dangerous; so I managed it until we left the bridge.
“I eventually parked beside a RRS Patrol vehicle to examine the car. While examining the car, a guy crossed over from the other side of the road to assist me. I don’t know him, but he said he was a mechanic, and we discovered that only one nut was left holding the tyre to the bolts on the driver side.
“The woman (Isah) at this point got down from the car to observe what was going on. She saw that we had to unscrew one nut from the other tyres to fasten the tyre on the driver side to the vehichle. I gave the man N100 and he crossed back to the other side of the road before we moved on.”
The 37-year-old driver said they had no other stopover till they got to Isah’s residence where they brought down her luggage. He said the passenger, at this point, discovered that one of her bags had gone missing.
Otuechere said he suggested taking her back to the airport to check whether she forgot the bag, adding that instead, Isah accused him of conniving with the mechanic to steal her bag.
He said:
“I told her that I would take her to the airport and back for free, but she insisted that she personally put the bag in the boot of my car.
“She held me and started slapping me, calling me a thief. One of her neighbours and the estate’s chief security officer accompanied her, and I was taken to the Ogombo Police Station.
“The second day, when the policeman who investigated the case suggested that we searched for the bag at my house and the airport, she said he was supporting me and she petitioned the state police command and the case was transferred to Ikeja.
“Immediately I got to SARS in Ikeja, a policeman, identified as Omoleme, hit me many times with an iron bar to make me confess in the presence of the woman. He said he would kill me and nothing would happen. I was in tears because of the pain; my blood was all over the floor and I was told to pull off my dress and start cleaning it.
“I was taken to the man in charge of SARS; when I tried to explain to him that I was innocent, he ordered his men to hang me because I was not saying the truth.
“SARS cell is a graphic picture of hell; I saw over 70 people inside one room and immediately I entered, I was welcomed with several blows, slaps and kicks.”
The Abia State indigene said it took the intervention of his lawyer before the SARS operatives agreed to search for the bag at the airport.
He added that the bag was eventually found and recovered at the airport where the woman forgot it.
Otuechere, whose two fingers had been broken during the torture, said he wanted justice and compensation for being humiliated and tortured for a crime he did not commit.
He said:
“When my lawyer saw my condition, she was annoyed with the officers for torturing me without investigation. She insisted that they should search for the bag at the airport; so a policeman went with my sister. I was told that the bag was found at the airport.
“When they returned, I was released. The woman has not called to apologise; even the officers of SARS did not apologise for torturing me without investigation. I want justice, I demand a written apology from F-SARS and Mrs Alice Isah for wrongful accusation, detention and torture.
“I also demand N10m compensation for my inability to provide for my family because of the torture.
Otuechere’s sister, Chika, said Isah was not remorseful of what she did to her brother after they recovered the bag at the airport.
Chika said:
“When we got to the airport, we went to where they normally put missing luggage. We didn’t even stress ourselves before we found the bag there. The airport officers told us that they picked it on the floor of the airport.
“The woman was not remorseful about what she caused. The SARS officers were even harassing me despite knowing that she was the one who forgot the bag.
“They broke my brother’s fingers because of this issue. I want the government to fight for us. They should end SARS, they are killers.
Isah, however, said she never took the law into her own hand, adding that she involved the police because she needed them to recover her bag which contained vital document.
Isah said:
“The car started jerking on Third Mainland Bridge and he stopped to examine what happened and discovered it was the tyre. I had to tell him to manage it till we left the bridge.
“After disembarking the bridge, one strange guy came and I saw them looking at the tyre. The driver told me that it was some missing nuts that caused the problem.
“When we got to my residence, we could not locate the bag. Because of those two stopovers and the strange fellow, I thought that that was how my back got missing.”
Isah said she reported the case at the Ogombo Police Station, where Otuechere was detained, adding that she reported to SARS because she urgently needed her bag.
“I was the one that went to the SARS to report. When they heard from me and John, they decided that we should go to the airport where the bag was found. I don’t know how to explain how I felt when I saw the bag at the airport. I did not torture him; I only reported the matter to the law enforcement agents because I wanted my bag.
“When we were leaving, they said we should bring our lawyers, so I went there with my lawyer and they exchanged addresses and phone numbers. I have been waiting to hear from my lawyer since then.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer, CSP Chike Oti, said Otuechere was not tortured.
He said:
“What happened was that a case of stealing was lodged against him at Ogombo division. Before investigation into the case could start, the complainant in the case moved it to another level of police investigation, which is SARS.
“Through diligent investigation by the F-SARS team, the missing bag was recovered. The Taxify driver was subsequently released on administrative bail. I must tell you on good authority that throughout the period of the investigation, he was not tortured by the F-SARS men.
“However, it must be noted that the suspect was roughened up a bit by a mob. For him now to turn around to put any form of blame on the F-SARS men who worked hard to recover the stolen bag is most unfortunate.
“Meanwhile, investigation into the case is still ongoing and efforts are on to identify and arrest the mob that attacked him before he was handed over to the police.”

Kayus4real: The Presidency on Tuesday said there was no truth in the claims that President Muhammadu Buhari has a hand in the move by minority members of the Benue State House of Assembly to remove the state governor , Samuel Ortom. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr . Femi Adesina , said this in a statement made available to journalists Adesina said Buhari would never be part of any unconstitutional act . He added that any attempt to link the President with the inglorious past , when minority number of lawmakers removed governors, will not stick.
The statement read , “ Even while attending the ECOWAS/ ECCAS Summit in Togo , strident attempts were being made to drag President Muhammadu Buhari into the unfolding drama between the executive and the legislature in Benue State.“ Statements have been issued by different interest groups , insinuating that the President may have a hand in the development in Benue . “ This is paranoia at its worst , coming from people who have wittingly positioned themselves against the clean - up of the country, and the way we do things . They prefer business as usual.
“ President Buhari will never be part of any unconstitutional act , and any attempt to link him with the inglorious past , when minority number of lawmakers impeached governors, will not stick. It will simply be like water off the duck's back.
“ Those with open minds know this , but those who cavil would rather source everything untoward to the President . It is murky ground in which they are now marooned, as fallout of their resistance to change in the country. “ When it suits them , they preach separation of powers and true federalism, and in another breath , they call on the President to interfere brazenly in affairs at state level.
“ President Buhari will always stand by all that is noble and fair , and will reject attempts to drag him into infamy . “ People who stoke fires by deliberate acts of omission or commission , and then summon the President to come and put it out will find that this President will be guided by the Constitution at all times , no matter the attempt to entangle him in unwarranted controversies . ”

Politics › Re: EFCC Probes Ortom, Benue Lawmakers, Perm Secs, Others For Alleged N23.08b by cytell56: 8:40am On Jul 31, 2018 |
sophsia62: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is investigating Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and many members of the House of Assembly for alleged diversion of N23, 088, 586, 206.
But the governor said last night that he had no fear over the probe. He demanded fairness.
About N22, 713, 586, 206 was withdrawn in cash, allegedly on the governor’s instruction as security votes and other “curious” overheads.
The Assembly members are expected to account for N375million.
The anti-graft agency said some of the cash withdrawals were made in bits of N10million over the counter.
The EFCC found it “ridiculous” that 500million was cashed in one day.
Besides the governor, more than 30 suspects are being investigated. They include 21 members of the House, three permanent secretaries, four cashiers, a contractor, directors of Finance, some accountants, and bank managers.
The EFCC believes that most of the funds were diverted, with, according to the agency, the governor directing permanent secretaries to tear the disbursement lists.
Here is the breakdown of the funds allegedly diverted: N1, 916, 635, 206 (withdrawn from the Government House two accounts); N19, 468, 951, 590 (cash taken from two accounts of the Bureau for Internal Affairs and Special Services); N1, 328, 000, 000 (withdrawn in cash from the account of the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); and N375million meant for the purchase of Prado SUV for House of Assembly members but N275m shared by 21 lawmakers
These highlights were released at a session in Abuja by top officials of the anti-graft commission.
On the alleged diversion of N1, 916, 635, 206, the fact-sheet said: “On the 31st of January, 2018, an intelligence was received that some officials of Benue State have diverted about N8billion. Based on the intelligence, the EFCC commenced investigation. It was discovered that between June 30, 2015 and March 2018, cash was withdrawn from the Government House accounts and diverted.
“Two accounts actually belong to Government House.
“These accounts received about N1, 916, 635, 206 between June 30, 2015 and March 2018. The huge sum was withdrawn by some cashiers, namely Emmanuel Aorga; Patrick Aba; and Ochoga Peter.
“From bank details, Aorga withdrew N369, 728, 950; Ochoga cashed N704, 041,000 and Patrick Aba N130, 199, 386.
“In most cases, they were issued N10m cheques in order to withdraw the money in bits.
“For the Government House, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Gabriel Iangba, who was interrogated, claimed that these are funds for security, governor’s travels, protocol services and security votes, among others.
On the N19, 468, 951, 590 taken from the Bureau for Internal Affairs and Special Services, the EFCC’s fact sheet indicated that the money was withdrawn from the Bureau’s two accounts.
“The N19.4billion was withdrawn between June 30, 2015 and March 2018. These funds were cashed in similar manner like that of the Government House Accounts. The withdrawal was effected by a cashier in bits of N10million. In a day, the same man withdrew N500million in a N10million per transaction model.
“During interrogation, the Permanent Secretary for Bureau for Internal Affairs and Special Services, Boniface Nyaakor, claimed that they normally gave six security outfits some of the cash. When asked to give details, he said while the highest remittance of N10million will go to one of the outfits, the rest will get N5million each.
“He said memos were usually raised and the governor was always approving. He said once the funds were cashed, he will list out how the funds will be disbursed. After the disbursement, he will bring back the paper to the governor and Ortom will ask him to tear the distribution list.
“We discovered that once the monthly allocation hits these accounts, the withdrawal of all the funds is a maximum of two days.
“It should be noted that all the cashiers were invited with their supervising accountants. They confessed that once the money was cashed either in Government House or at the Bureau, they have a place they used to deposit it and the affected permanent secretaries will take over disbursement.
“And apart from banking transactions, all records of disbursement have been destroyed.”
Asked if a governor can be questioned on security votes, a top EFCC official said: “The governor has to show records of how security funds are spent.
“In the case of Benue, the Security Votes Schedule was not even captured in the State Appropriation Act. They only put ‘Tentative’. This is done as a cover-up.”
Concerning the N1, 328, 000,000, the EFCC gave details of how it came about the discovery.
The commission’s fact-sheet said: “A petition was received from a Commissioner in the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), ex-Commissioner of Police Abubakar Tsav on June 10, 2016 alleging that pensioners and workers were going through hardship due to non-payment of salaries and pensions. The petition by Tsav was against Governor Ortom and a former Chairman of Gwer West Local Government Area, Mr. Titus Zam.
“The petitioner alleged that the governor withdrew N 929, 903, 967 account of the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
“Based on this petition, an investigation was carried out and it was discovered about N1, 328,000, 000(N1.328b) cash was withdrawn from the account between October 2015 and June 2016.
“In the course of further investigation, it was one John J. Bako, who is said to be a member of security outfits in the state withdrew N28million from the account while N1.3billion was withdrawn in cash by Andoor Festus, who is said to be a cashier of the Bureau. The money was withdrawn in cash in bits of N50m, N100m, N120m, and N260m.
“A letter of invitation was sent to the State Government. The first letter was sent on July 18, 2016 and reminders were sent but no reply. The last letter was sent to the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on July 9, 2018 but Bako and Andoor are yet to come.
“These are people the EFCC cannot trace. This commission believes the state government should know who they are since they were linked to the account.”
In a follow up by The Nation bordering on alleged apology to Ortom by Tsav recently, a top official said: “The petition bordered on a case against the state. The money he claimed was being diverted was not his money but it is public funds.
“We owe Nigerians a duty to see to the conclusion of this investigation. If Tsav apologized, he has blown the whistle, he cannot retrieve the petition.”
As part of the sleaze in Benue State, the EFCC also uncovered how the state government allegedly paid N80million into the account of a Boko Haram suspect Aliyu Yaminu, who is nicknamed Tershaku.
Tershaku, who was arrested by the Nigerian Army in April, has since been in custody.
The EFCC said: “Between December 20, 2017 and April 6, 2018, the Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAC) has been remitting N20million to the account of Al-Tershaku Global Security Limited allegedly owned by Tershaku. JAC posted N80million to this account as at the time of Tershaku’s arrest. This is aside suspicious cash lodgments by Tershaku himself into the company’s account.”
In the same vein, the EFCC confirmed that about 21 members of the Benue State House of Assembly and a contractor have a case to answer over N417million contract for the purchase of 30 Prado SUV for lawmakers in the state.
Some of the lawmakers were said to have allegedly conspired with the contractor, Alh. Ahmed Baba, who owns Mia Three Nigeria Limited.
“It is a case of diversion of contract funds. A N417million contract was awarded to Mia Three Nigeria Limited (owned by Alh. Ahmed Baba) by the Benue State Government for the supply of 30 Prado SUV for members of the Benue State House of Assembly for oversight functions.
“With less Tax and Value Added Tax (VAT), the worth of the contract amounted to N375million. The cost of each car was around N12.9million. But out of the N375million, about N275million was diverted by the contractor in connivance with members of the Benue State House of Assembly.
“Eight members of the Assembly took delivery of the Prado SUV, one did not benefit because he hijacked a vehicle from the convoy of the Deputy Speaker but 21 others only collected cash from the contractor instead of vehicles.
“The EFCC team has so far recovered N244million from the affected members of the Benue State House of Assembly. Four members refused to pay back the full value of the SUV after remitting. They reluctantly refunded N1million each to EFCC after much pressure.
“These four members and outstanding sums are as follows: Addingi Mguman (N9million); Kester Kyaenge (N9million); Terkaa Ucha (N4million) and Terzeer Adzuu (N9million).
“We have been interacting with the lawmakers since 2016; it is not as if we have just started the investigation. Some of them, including the Deputy Speaker, came to honour EFCC’s invitation last Thursday. It was while we were interacting with the Deputy Speaker that he was impeached.
“They were asked to report on Monday (yesterday) except a member that applied to perform this year’s Hajj.
“These lawmakers and the contractor have a case to answer because the Prado SUVs were not meant for leisure
“The members have been reporting because their case file is with the Legal Unit of EFCC. We asked them to be reporting because we do not know the exact date they will be arraigned.”
More than 30 suspects are being investigated. They include 21 members of the House, three permanent secretaries, four cashiers, a contractor, directors of Finance, some accountants, and bank managers.
‘Let the probe be fair’
Benue State officials spoke yesterday on the planned probe of Governor Samuel Ortom. His Chief Press Secretary Mr. Tever Akase called for a fair investigation.
Speaking with our correspondent on the telephone last night, Akase said: “The point is that Governor Ortom’s government is transparent. He has nothing to hide. Since he became the governor, every year he published the statement of account in national newspapers.
“This is to show that he has nothing to hide. So we welcome the EFCC investigation. This is anti-graft and we believe they are doing their job. However, we are asking that they should be fair in their investigation. A man who is suspected is not guilty until he is found guilty.
“As I said, we hope that the investigation by the EFCC will be fair without any political undertone. We don’t want to read any conspiracy into it because we have nothing to hide.
“Governor Ortom has been faced with security challenges and he is expected to address them. And this he has been doing. He has not embezzled public funds. Neither has he converted public funds to his personal use. In all, we want a fair hearing, fair investigation.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Tahav Agerzua said: “The EFCC can probe any person or organisation based on allegations which may turn out to be true or false. In the case of Governor Ortom, they can probe but I assure you that they will find nothing at the end of the day.”

PrettyCrystal: A man was arrested after purchasing a stolen Lexus SUV for N500,000 in Abuja. It was gathered that the man after repainting the vehicle and changing the registration, had taken his friends out to flex to celebrate his "new vehicle" not knowing the car had been tracked to their drinking spot.
The suspect was arrested after he came out of the bar to enter the vehicle. He made confessional statements which led to the arrest of others involved.
Below is what John Oloche Matthew shared on Facebook;
Last night ended very well with a successful recovery of this stolen vehicle. In brief, the suspects in the pictures moved the vehicle on the 16th of this month somewhere around Garki area 3 Abuja from a parked location. The client instructed his driver to park the vehicle at a hotel in Abuja after dropping him at the airport on his way out of the Country.
The driver claimed the key was missing from his pocket and the car was stolen. Last night we tracked the vehicle to Gudu garden where the suspect was having the fun of his life declaring drinks for a purchase of a new vehicle. He had repainted the car from black to white and also changed registration.
We waited for about 3hrs until he finally came out to pick his new vehicle then he was arrested. Now his confession: He bought the said vehicle for N500,000 only.

Politics › Re: FG Clamps Down On Ray Power’s ‘Political Platform’; Imposes Fine by cytell56: 4:26pm On Jul 29, 2018 |
ivandragon: The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), has fined DAAR Communications (owner of AIT/Raypower) N500,000 for persistent violation of the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code.
NBC’s Head of Public Affair, Maimuna Jimada, via a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, said comments made on Raypower’s programme “Political Platform” was against the broadcasting code.
Mrs Jimada said that the organisation was sanctioned due to “provocative, inflammatory and divisive comments” by anchors of the political platform.
She said the Commission on May 2, 2017, Aug. 15, 2017 and February 2018, held meetings with staff of DAAR Communications to caution them on unprofessional manner of anchors of the programme.
She stated that the Commission had charged the team handling the programme to be fair, and balance their reportage.
According to her, during the Feb. 7 meeting, the Commission stressed the need to comply with the broadcasting code to avoid sanctions.
“The Political Platform episode on July 24, was marked by sensational and heated expression of opinion by its anchors, who went on to make unproven and inciting allegations.
“For avoidance of doubt, the Director-General drew the attention of DAAR Communications to the following provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code: (1) Section 1.9.3:
“A presenter/anchor shall not express his or her personal opinion in a programme.”
“Also Section 5.2.7: ‘A broadcaster shall, in using political material for news, avoid taking inflammatory and divisive matter in its provocative form and Section 5.2.5 stated that political broadcasts shall be in decent language,’’ she said.
Mrs Jimada reiterated that broadcasting stations should ensure that anchors of their programmes were properly informed and trained on the ethics of the profession as well as the provisions of the broadcasting code.

Lizzysamuel: President Muhammadu Buhari will on Sunday depart Abuja for Lome, Republic of Togo, to participate in two high-level meetings.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Saturday. On arrival in Lome, Shehu said the President would have an interactive session with the Nigerian community based in Togo at the Nigerian Embassy. He added that on Monday, Buhari will attend the Joint ECOWAS/ECCAS Summit.
He said the summit would deliberate on common security threats to countries in West Africa and members of the Economic Community of Central African States with a view to forging concerted strategies in tackling the menace of terrorism, trans-border crimes and other forms of violent extremism. He recalled that the President had expressed support for the proposed ECOWAS/ECCAS Summit when he received the current Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo on June 29, 2018 in Katsina. “Terrorism now transcends international boundaries, and no country can combat the scourge alone,” Buhari was qouted to have said.
While in Lome, Shehu added that the Nigerian delegation will also participate in a meeting on a Single Currency for ECOWAS with the deadline of 2020. He said being the largest economy not only in West Africa but also on the continent, Nigeria’s leadership role in the sub-regional aspiration cannot be over-emphasised.
On Tuesday, the presidential aide added that Buhari will join other leaders of the sub-region for the 53rd Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
This session, he added, will be dominated by the political and security situations in Guinea Bissau, Mali and Togo; institutional reforms of the ECOWAS Commission to enhance its effectiveness; illegal migration of Africans to Europe; and the worrisome violent clashes between herders and farmers, among other issues.
The statement added, “At the end of the session, a new Chair of the ECOWAS Authority is expected to take over from the incumbent and host. “President Buhari will be accompanied by Governors Ben Ayade and Abubakar Bello of Cross River and Niger States respectively. Others are Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun; Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Danbazau; and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah. “The National Security Adviser , Babagana Monguno; the Chief of Defence Staff , Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin; the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, are also in the President’s delegation.”

Celebrities › Re: Most People Lie About SARS Attack On Social Media — Police PPRO Dolapo Badmus by cytell56: 3:17pm On Jul 28, 2018 |
Gossipblogger: Dolapo Badmus, The Chief Superintendent of Police and Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2, comprising Ogun and Lagos State while speaking with Vanguard has alleged that Most Persons lie about SARS Brutality on Social Media just to get pity, According to her, Even Celebrities do it..
On the alarming number of SARS brutalisation reports..
She said: '''Well, the issue of this squad called Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and its operational model has been over flooded basically on the social media platforms.
The #EndSARS# started with a group of individuals that, due to their own personal experience or encounter with the operation, started the campaign. They propelled it with social media, escalating the whole issue negatively.
We are aware that bad news sales faster than good news. People have been feigning SARS attack on the social media.
I am a Zonal Public Relations Officer of the Force and I have noticed that people deforms information even when there is no confrontation at all. Most people somehow, do this to seek relevance on the social media. Even some celebrities are doing it.
The issue has spiraled to the other members of the Police Force: when a normal Policeman did anything uncalled for, they tag it SARS. This kind of act is sending a negative picture to the international community about Nigerian Police.
We don’t have any other country other than Nigeria, and whatever we do reflects on us a people. The negative effects rub off on us too as Policemen.
When we are outside the country, they see us as corrupt officers due to social media postings. I have spoken to stakeholders in this #Endsars# campaign group, advising them that there are ways and manners the goal can be achieved without using social media platform to escalate the issue.
SARS integrity has been projected in a negative form abroad, and even some people are afraid to visit home with the insinuation that SARS will attack them.

ckenneths: It surprised everyone, we knew the masses who are closely watching the unfolding political developments in the country were waiting to show their solidarity to Ike Ekweremadu, but none of us knew that this number of people will arrive to welcome him to Enugu.
From the airport, through the whole streets till his house in Enugu, it was a herculean task to control the surging crowd of people.
The deputy senate leader later addressed the crowd in front of his house, and they gave him their assurance of continued support.
If it's like this in Enugu central where he does not represent, (This is Gil Nnaji constituency) how will the crowd be when he travels to Awgu and Aninri later? We beg the road safety officials to be at alert to control the traffic. APC is in trouble |

Politics › Re: Ekiti Election: Fayemi Accuses INEC Of Giving PDP Election Materials by cytell56: 11:23pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
Ekiti360: Still over the Ekiti elections , Lawyers to Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, have faulted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for allegedly allowing the main opposition party to access the electoral documents for July 14 polls.
A member of Fayemi’s legal team, Mr. Tajudeen Akingbolu, said hi party has formally written to INEC requesting for the Certified True Copies (CTCs) of the electoral documents which had not been granted.
Akingbolu who spoke with news men in Ado-Ekiti Today said he had gone to INEC office to see the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Prof. AbdulGaniy Raji , on the development but was told that he was not on seat.
When contacted, INEC spokesman, Mr. Taiwo Gbadegesin, declined comments on the matter saying “only the REC can speak on the development.”
According to Akingbolu, “Immediately after the election was conducted, July 16 to be precise, we wrote an application to the REC to the effect that we need CTCs of Forms EC8A, EC8B, EC8C, EC8D, EC8E and other documents used for the conduct of the election but up till now, we have not been granted access to those documents.
He added that “This is my third time of coming here but we heard scary information this morning that our adversary, that is PDP, have come here and has been given access to those documents.
“We were reliably informed that they (INEC) has opened the store where these documents are kept for them without putting us on notice.
“That is why we want to sound a note of warning that, for any document to be released at all, every party must be available and every other party must be on ground and present.
“We don’t want a situation whereby electoral materials, particularly the ballot papers, will be mutilated, tampered with or destroyed. They can be thumb-printed again to make them look as if they are void.
“That is why we want to warn INEC to be on the side of caution on this issue. We know the character of the people we are dealing with, we don’t want to take any chances at all and we don’t want to be put on the defensive.
“We heard from a very reliable source that they have been having access to the documents since last week. In a situation in which the other party is not given access it looks somehow.
“I went to REC’s office but I learnt he is not available and I have to come out and wait for him. That is not the practice anywhere in the world.”
