CrimeRe: Ghanaian Man Arrested For Having Sex With A Goat. Photos by cytell56: 8:42pm On Jul 25, 2018
BoneBlogger:
A man has been arrested by police authorities after he was caught having sex with a goat.

The 32-year-old man is currently cooling his heels in police cell for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a goat in Ajumako Anyan Asiam District of the Central Region of Ghana.

According to reports the suspect was arrested by the youths of the area and subsequently handed over to the police.

It was gathered that the owner of the goat had tied the animal at his residence to feed before leaving for church.

On his return, he said he heard an unusual noise from where he had tied the animal so he approached the scene only to find Daniel on top of the goat with his trousers pulled down.

The complainant raised an alarm and the youths helped to arrest Daniel. He said the goat was seriously bleeding at the time it was brought to the police station as an exhibit.

The residents who caught the suspect in the act reported that there were blood stains in the cloths of the suspect.

In a video footage trending online, the suspect confessed to committing bestiality with the animal.

PoliticsRe: 'It's Annoying To Link Police Invitation Of Politicians To Buhari' - Presidency by cytell56: 9:30pm On Jul 24, 2018
Correctgist:
President Buhari has frowned at Nigerians always linking police invitation of high ranking politicians to him.

In a statement released by his media aide, Garba Shehu, President Buhari said he does not in anyway interfere in the proceedings of security agencies. Read the statement below

The Presidency has taken note of the orchestrated campaign against President Muhammadu Buhari each time a Very Important Person (VIP) is invited by the law enforcement agencies, in the discharge of their legitimate duties and functions.

The law of the land is intended for all, not for the poor or those at the lowest rungs of the social ladder.

It is odd, strange and bizarre that while ordinary citizens can be called up to answer questions or be interrogated, the VIP cannot be questioned without the annoying insinuations of partisanship, persecution or outright politicization.

This country cannot achieve development in peace when important cases are viewed through a political prism and the law is considered as being applicable to some, and not applicable to others.

The workings of law enforcement agencies are set out in the constitution and the laws of the country. If they worked at the discretion of past presidents, who decided who to question and who to detain, Nigerians should get used to the fact that this President is different. President Buhari does not and will not influence or interfere with cases.

The constitution clearly directs law enforcement agencies to promptly report and investigate any actual or potential infringement of the law and also initiate proceedings against all those involved.
This President is not the one who directs them on what to do.

President Buhari does not stand in the way of law enforcement either. Under our constitution, he has no powers to stop the investigation of anyone or institution. When they are set to investigate anything and anyone, the best friend of the law is the one who lets them do their work.

The President’s constant refrain is that he will not tolerate any form of illegality including corruption and the law enforcement agencies have been given complete freedom to identify and bring all culprits to justice. His instructions to them are very clear: Anyone with a case to answer or found guilty should not be spared.

Accused persons should approach the courts to plead their innocence rather than going to the public to plead persecution.

The country is better served when the law enforcement agencies are allowed to do their work and we must stop the actors of this dangerous game of politicizing law enforcement.

CrimeRe: Edgal Imohimi, Bans Policemen From Patrolling In Mufti & Commercial Vehicles by cytell56: 5:08pm On Jul 24, 2018
damiloladuke:
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Edgal Imohimi, has banned policemen in the state from patrolling in mufti and commercial vehicles.

He made this known to the public in a statement released today by the spokesperson of the Police command, SP Chike Oti.

Read the statement below

To ensure that policemen in Lagos are at their professional best always, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi has banned police operatives in the state from operating in mufti and commercial vehicles such as the yellow buses popularly known as Danfo or other commercial buses. Unmarked vehicles will only be used occasionally for covert operations targeted at a specific individual or group based on credible intelligence.

The Command is not unaware that some unscrupulous individuals impersonate as SARS operatives. To this end, the CP urges members of the public to take note of the dress code for SARS operatives in the Command. The dress code is as follows:
1. A black jacket and a fez cap.
2. In the front of the jacket, the word police is written in white at the top right part.
3. At the bottom left part of the jacket,
F-SARS 039 is written there.
4. At the back of the jacket are
inscriptions "F-SARS LAGOS," "SCORPION" and a red image of a Scorpion.
5. On the fez cap are inscriptions
"F-SARS" and "SCORPION."

The CP had, on assumption of office, set up a Citizen Complaint Hot Centre (CCHC) with the following telephone lines solely dedicated for lodging complaints against wrong actions of policemen. They are:
1. 08067945296
2. 08063025274
3. 08063104759
4. 08113615350
5. 08113683077
6. 08096283148
7. 08096283173
8. 08089781657
9. 08126404930
10. 08081426895

Members of the public are enjoined to always make their complaints against erring policemen including those who violate the patrol guidelines and the dress code by calling any of the lines above. The Command can also be reached on the social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) via @policenglagos.

It will be recalled that the Command as part of its disciplinary measures, recently dismissed eight policemen for various offences against discipline.

PoliticsRe: Blockade Of Saraki’s Home Must Have Been By His Security Aides, Police Claim by cytell56: 3:16pm On Jul 24, 2018
DONSMITH123:
Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, has said that the blockade of the Abuja home of Senate President Bukola Saraki must have been by his own security aides, rather than by the Police. as widely reported.

Moshood, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon, said that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has consequently ordered a probe into the incidence.

The media had reported earlier on Tuesday that operatives of the Department of State Services and policemen laid siege to Saraki’s home in Abuja.

Saraki had also alleged that the siege was an attempt to stop some members of the Senate from defecting from the ruling party.

However, Moshood denied that the Police blocked Saraki from leaving his residence in the morning, noting that the “unathorised blockade” must have been carried out by his (Saraki’s) security aides.

He added that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered an investigation into the incident.

So now if they split the APC, rush back to PDP they will have the president for 8 years and who knows after 8 years they'll have it longer.

PoliticsRe: Even The Person In The Other Room Cant Get Ideas Into Buhari's Head- Sheikh Gumi by cytell56: 1:00pm On Jul 24, 2018
ayusco85:
Sheikh Gumi: You Can't Change Buhari... Even The Person In The Other Room Can't Get Ideas Into His Head
“I cannot get to the other room with him because I am not his wife but even somebody who has access to the other room cannot get ideas into his head," Gumi said. “How do you blame somebody who does not have access to the other room? You cannot change Buhari. He is already cast in a mentality. He believes that most Nigerians, if not all, are rascals, thieves and 419. He believes only his own circle are the good people. You cannot get across anything."

Sheikh Hamed Gumi, a northern cleric, says it is impossible to change President Muhammadu Buhari because even his wife who has access to ther other room cannot.

He also said the President believes most Nigerians who are not in his circle are rascals, thrives and fraudsters.

The Islamic cleric said this in a scathing interview published by Punch on Saturday.

When asked why he chose to criticize the President instead of advising him on how best to lead the country, Gumi said: “I cannot get to the other room with him because I am not his wife but even somebody who has access to the other room cannot get ideas into his head.

“How do you blame somebody who does not have access to the other room? You cannot change Buhari. He is already cast in a mentality. He believes that most Nigerians, if not all, are rascals, thieves and 419. He believes only his own circle are the good people. You cannot get across anything.

“He has castigated Nigerians in many fora and everybody to him on knows that. He is somebody who always blames others; he does not take responsibility for anything. We are not castigating him. We are talking about this publicly for two reasons: first, his followers have to accept something is wrong.”

Gumi also said things have deteriorated even below what former President Goodluck Jonathan was castigated and voted out for. He argued that the nation was in a better place under the leadership of Jonathan.

“Definitely, the situation now is worse. The economy is worse. Feeding is a problem; medical care is a problem. There are problems everywhere. Nigeria is down. Nobody is secure.

“The honest people in government have pulled out. Look at what a Governor said recently; that he was resigning his position as the chief security officer because he is helpless. Another Governor said we have to face the fact that there is a problem in Nigeria. We can’t deny that.

“Buhari is just a common man. He is just an ordinary one man in Nigeria. We cannot be hypocrites, hiding facts because of a man. Why are people shivering because of him because he has a team of illiterate, fanatical followers? We can deal with them. They should not hold us to ransom. He is a victim of this ignorant, unemployed and senseless followership.

“... There is problem with and in the government. We have absolute failure in government. People are dying, things are not good. We cannot continue this way."

He advised the President to resign from his position, insisting that Nigeria needs a new crop of leaders, plus a leader who will unite the nation rather than polarize it.

“When I see a leader polarising or dividing the polity, no matter how he claims to be good, he is not good for the situation. You see, it is not every time you have a leader that is good for a situation. Every situation has its own remedy. We need in Nigeria a person who can listen and bring everybody together and also have a way of negotiating in the murky water of politics.

Gumi argued that despite the fact that the north had produced more leaders, the region had nothing to show for it.

“The northern region, even though supplied many leaders, has been backward. One of the reasons is the nature of the northern man. He has a psyche that is molded by the emirate system before the coming of the white man, which is the absolute control. In some places, you cannot even put on a very clean cloth because they will say you are competing with the king.

“The society has not changed. They feel that they are the new kings. An ordinary northern leader thinks of northerners as subjects. He does not want to improve their economic and social well being. For instance, it is high time we stopped this genuflection before the emirs. They don’t have any power over us. We are human beings.

“They maintain the feeling that ‘I am superior, the others are subjects’. They do not want to assist the region. This is the northern psyche. Even though they have been ruling for a long time, the north has been backward. The masses have been looking for a messiah that will free them from this bondage.”

PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Associates Fear Buhari May Turn Against Him After 2019 by cytell56: 11:14pm On Jul 23, 2018
MadeInTokyo:
Alleged o whittle down Tinubu’s political influence in S’West

Say some govs working against Tinubu’s interest in Osun

As the 2019 presidential election draws closer, some political associates of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have expressed fear that President Muhammadu Buhari may turn against Tinubu after the 2019 elections.

Tinubu’s associates, who served in different capacities while he was the governor of Lagos State, equally doubted whether Tinubu made the right judgment to support the president’s re-election in 2019.

Some of his associates recently spoke with THISDAY in confidence, wondering what would likely be the fate of the APC leader if he “eventually helps Buhari win a second term in office as the president of Nigeria.”
One of the associates, who served in the Lagos State Executive Council between 2003 and 2007, noted that the president might want “to use Tinubu to win Lagos and South-west and afterwards, dump him.”

He disclosed that Tinubu’s political allies “have been putting pressure on him to reconsider his decision to support Buhari’s re-election.”
“It appears Asiwaju is resolute to support Buhari despite the way he was treated after he helped Buhari win 2015 presidential election.”
The associate said even though Tinubu shrugged off the warning of his trusted associates repeatedly, realities would eventually dawn on him at last that his judgment to support Buhari’s re-election was not right

He explained that Buhari “has never been comfortable with Tinubu’s vast financial resources”. According to him, the president was also said to be uncomfortable with Tinubu’s political influence, not only in the South-west states, but also across the federation.
“Buhari may choose to cut him to size after his re-election,” the associate said.

Another associate, who is working closely with the APC leader, noted that many of the people to whom Buhari had concentrated powers had not hidden their disapproval of Tinubu.

“When the time comes, the president will simply become inaccessible. The sharks within the administration will turn against Tinubu. They have done it before. They are going to do it again. But Tinubu is not looking at issues from this perspective.

“Buhari could not have come back to Tinubu if the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola could really secure him victory in Lagos State. Buhari returned to Tinubu because none of his new friends could help him win election in Lagos and South-west states,” the associate said.

He revealed that Buhari actually preferred Fashola; Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu; his Ogun State counterpart, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun; Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, but could not depend on them alone to win the majority of votes in the South-west.
Another associate said Tinubu’s political allies were jittery “due to how Buhari treated the APC leader shortly after he was elected president.”

“Despite his contribution to Buhari’s election, he was at a time denied access to the president to the chagrin of his supporters,” he added.
He said the APC national leader should learn from the treatment meted out to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who, despite his support for Buhari after losing the APC’s presidential primary, was isolated and had his business interest harmed by a government he helped put in place.
He explained that the first thing they did was “to turn against his business interest.

They claimed the contract between the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) and Intels, in which Atiku has interest, violated the 1999 Constitution.
“What did Atiku do wrong? What offence did he commit? They simply consider him too rich and too powerful for them. Thus, they tag him a threat to the Buhari government. That is the way they see Tinubu,” he said.

The source cited how the presidency “played former APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, against Tinubu”.
“In order to satisfy Tinubu, the presidency has suddenly realised that Odigie-Oyegun is weak and undeserving to remain as the party’s national chairman. The plot to deal with Tinubu is well known to some privileged northerners within the president’s inner circle. Tinubu cannot deny that such a plot exist,” he said.

An entirely different source shared the fear of Tinubu’s political associates, disclosing that some South-west governors had started working subtly against Tinubu’s interest in Osun State just after APC’s victory in Ekiti State.

Already, the source claimed that some South-west governors “have started promoting the candidacy of the Secretary to Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, in the presidency against Tinubu’s interest and contrary to understanding they reached before Ekiti State election.
“Tinubu agreed to support the Fayemi candidacy on the ground that he would be given privilege to choose the governorship candidate in Osun State. They all agreed to this condition at a meeting facilitated by the Presidency. But they have started breaching this agreement. Subtly, they have been funding and promoting Adeoti against Tinubu’s interest. They are simply working to whittle down Tinubu’s political influence in the South-west states,” the source explained.

Information reaching the PoliticsNGR newsdesk this evening reveals that the Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim Kpotum, has summoned Senate President, Bukola Saraki over the murder of 31 persons after an armed robbery attack in Kwara.

The police said 31 persons were killed in the April 5 attack which shocked the nation. Police said the suspects arrested in the attack confessed to being sponsored by Saraki, describing it as the most deadly armed robbery in the country’s history.

Saraki was previously summoned by the police in June, but the invitation was abruptly withdrawn and the top lawmaker was required to submit his response to the allegations in writing.

The lawmaker quickly responded and sent in his statement to the police.

In a statement released on Monday night, obtained by PoliticsNGR, Idris wrote to Saraki, ordering him to appear at the force headquarters to clear the 'grey areas' in his statement.

The police said Saraki had said in his statement that he would not comment on the purported confession of the suspects since he did not know the details of their statements.

Saraki was asked to appear at the Intelligence Response Team in Guzape neighbourhood, Abuja by 8:00 a.m. on July 24. The senate president has always maintained his stance that he has nothing to do with the robbery case and that the issue was politically-motivated.
