Enskynelson: When I registered PHS804, it was titled "maternal and child health" but when I tried to download the course material, the material was PHS804 but titled "Epidemiology II". On checking all the 800L courses and course materials for Health Sciences, I noticed PHS804 was "Epidemiology II" and there was no course as "maternal and child health"
Conclusion: The course "PHS804" is Epidemiology II but being wrongly titled in the course registration as "Maternal Child Health." Secondly, the course and course material "Maternal Child Health" for M.Sc. Public Health students currently does not exist.
Below is the link to all courses for M.Sc Public Health for now. Cheers.
https://nou.edu.ng/courseware?field_faculty_name_value=Health+Sciences&field_level__value=800&field_semester_value=All I figured as much. I thought it had been rectified. Thanks for your always quick response. Thank you |

Thank you ohhh. I am tired of explaining even before I became an M.Sc student in noun, I knew the school has what it takes. As a student of conventional university for B.Sc i can tell you in noun you will read, not just cover to cover, but line by line. Edibles20: I’m not sure there’s a problem with NOUN degrees, but I can tell you for a fact, that there are huge problems with NOUN students and graduates. I have never in my entire life met a set of student not proud about his or her school. NOUN students are not proud of the school. They see themselves as inferior to others. They’re shy to even tell you they school in NOUN. Their confidence level is next to nothing. Amongst other students, they feel like they don’t belong. There’s much the school can do, but a lot more depends on the students themselves.
This is my second post graduate program in NOUN, and I can tell you for a fact that NOUN is actually hard. If you’re not disciplined, you will never graduate from NOUN. People have this wrong misconception about breezing in and out of NOUN with a degree, it is not so. This I can tell you for a fact. In most of the courses I have taken, there’s no stupid area of concentration. You read the whole damn book cover to cover.
NOUN degrees, like all Open University the world over is valuable, and as much as other contemporary universities. What needs to change is the mindset of the students, and the graduates. Be proud. |

Further inquiries thus far reveals that all exams have been shifted to 2021_1 Semester. Quite sad but that is the reality right now. Kindly contact your Study Centre for details. Are you sure about this? Cos I have 6 courses listed on the timetable. I know not all were accommodated but not all was shifted. Except another one was released again after the one to start on the 18th. Please kindly post link to the one you have please. The 1st is wed 27th by 2pm....phs 801...intro to public health |

But most times, Discussion forum and viewing course materials are the only compulsory task before the TMA is accessible. Wow thanks And thank you for your always prompt response. May God always respond to you promptly in Jesus name. |

The GST portal seems different. This is my first time. I want to be sure am on track. I see that I have to read the material, watch the instructional video, participate in the discussion forum before I can access the TMA questions. This is correct.
Please am I in order? |

Enskynelson: If exams is by December like people are speculating, carrying all those courses will not be easy o. This is a Masters Programme where the demand for each of those courses will be quite high. I sincerely don't recommend you registered 11 courses. Between 6 - 8 should be OK. NOTE that this is just a suggestion please. That's what I have been contemplating ohhh... 11 courses in one semester and combining it with work. That's why i look at my portal every morning asking God to give wisdom. We go dey alright sha. |
